    Default GeForce GT430 1024Mb One of ways to force it to work in Mac OS X 10.6.5 & 10.6.6

    Hello Everyone!

    I suggest you to familiarize with way I have forced to work my video card GeForce GT 430 1024Mb 128bit made by Palit. I want to say that similar video cards (GT 430 1024Mb 128bit) made by another Vendor (Asus,MSI,Zotac & e.t.c) in the list below must work correct too, because they have the same Vendor & Device ID. Before installing, please read how I did in this post:

    Before installing Natit.kext you'll need:
    - Chameleon2 RC5 699 (if you don't still have it)
    - Mac OS X Combo Update 10.6.6 (or 10.6.5) from Apple site (download it as a file)
    - SleepEnabler.kext for the version 10.6.6 (if you are updating your OS to 10.6.6 and for 10.6.5 if you're ipdating from 10.6.4 or earlier)
    - NVidia Driver Package Retail_256.01.00f03v5.dmg (for 64bit Hack OS)
    or
    - tonymacx86 NVIDIA Update (for 32bit Hack OS)
    - natit.kext (modified slightly and tested by me for my GT 430)

    Install natit.kext with kexthelper7b or kextutility in /S/L/E/ and reboot.

    Download this natit.kext you can here: Natit.kext - Downloads - Kexts.com or by typing in Search GT 430.

    Here is the list of supported cards:

    But I think it is better to use GraphicsEnabler! No kexts!

    Everything depends on your hardware and installed software. I tested it and now working on my PC based on motherboard ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E and it works stable (no kernel panics and e.t.c.). Tested by: Quake4, iBench_104, XBench_1.3, Novabench, GlView335 and CineBench 11.5.

    Now I'm testing this kext on WoW. It better to use "Recomended' settings for this game.

    Ok . And an EFI string doesn't work?

    Because more retail is better . But it is nice that you got it worked .

    To be honest, I read how people are trying to force GT 430 by EFI string here: Почему стабильно работают только Nvidia 430 и 470? - AppleLife - Страница 3

    And I understood that my way is much easier, because in practice with EFI string and Palit GT 430 not all so smooth, as it written there. That's why I have chosen the way with Natit.kext. I don't understand, why are you so skeptical. More retail is better and it is indisputable, but system is not original any way after installation of the loader and some kexts in any case it will be necessary to add. I think it's better to install and force to work Mac OS on PC for minimal time and with minimal problems...

    Sorry, you were right, GT 430 works with EFI string - I did it today, but I think it will be pretty hard to do for unprepared user. System became "more retail" and test results are the same. I have noticed, that natit.kext and graphics.plist are very similar inside. And I used [OUTPUTS] from natit.kext.

    WoW works stable only with minimal settings (see screenshot). With other settings WoW works unstable or doesn't works at all. Other games & tests are working good.
