That DSDT editing can be skipped by using the following file:
    GraphicsEnabler.dylib.zip
You'll have to put the file in the "Modules" folder in your "Extra" folder and add the following key to the org.Chameleon.boot.plist:

    <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
    <string>Yes</string>

It is the Graphics Enabler Module from meklort - when I use it it doesn't give me messages like "No Kext loaded". Besides, why use the GMA 950 kext? Isn't the GMA 3150 based of the X3100?
When I use the X3100 kexts, I get the same Effect, but it somehow enables the Backlight of my Display. And wouldn't it be worth a try to edit the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext? It improves the performance of Graphic Cards noticeably.

    Edit:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/f180/264812.htm <- It seems that this guy was on the right way, sadly he got now response. But my GMA3150 gets recognized as a PCI device as well, in the PCI root 0?

Well after reading what that guy posted it seems he war really close, too bad he never said anything else.

Also, he was on Leopard, so maybe some stuff is different.

Yes, Leopard handled Quartz Extreme different I think (OSX86 Tools could enable it there). Does anyone have some Sources or Documentation if the GMA 3150 is really based on the x3100? Intel's Datasheets are almost useless. But you should have a look at this:

trunk/i386/libsaio/gma.c - Chameleon Svn Source Tree - Chameleon open source boot loader project.
This is why the GMA 950 Kexts are used. Also, it enables Qe/Ci for the GMA x3100. If the 3150 is in fact based on the x3100, we should be able to load the x3100 Kexts and enable Qe/Ci with the Graphics Enabler. I played around with the Source and now It loads the Lion 10.7.2 x3100 Kexts.

But maybe we could also enable Qe/Ci with the 950 Kexts as well, using the Graphics Enabler. Both (The GMAX3100 and the GMA950) can get Qe/Ci with Graphics Enabler, by injecting things like APPL,HasPanel. All needed to know is on what the GMA 3150 is based, on the 950 or the X3100.

I've seen that one too, but I've also seen some reports of the Grapics Core being based on the GMA 950. However, loading the Leopard 10.5.7 GMAX3100 kexts gave me a Kernel Panic (But I think that is because I used the Lion GMAX3100 plugins). Using the Lion 10.7.2 Kexts makes the Netbook restart. But when I boot with the -v flag, It shows things like "Invalid max Backlight setting". When the Verboose Boot Screen should change to the Desktop, it restarts. I think that happens because of wrong Variables in my Graphics Enabler Edit.

I also noticed that the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext plays a Role in case of performance, which makes it necessary to use a working SMbios.plist. The MacBookAir1,1 was using the GMAX3100, but Lion screws up the System Information when using the SMbios of a MacbookAir1,1 - the Image is one of a MacBook Air, but it says "Macbook Pro, late 2008"?

Another thing - Why only patch the IntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext? The GMA950 Kext would need those Patches aswell?

I believe that Meklort explained on his blog the reason it wasn't working when he released NBI support for GMA3150. I honestly don't understand much of this, but im going to use wayback machine to see what his reasoning was (His blog is no longer up), maybe it can help you out.

Edit: Well his blog didn't actually give any useful info on it, except for why some people were having a cursor blinking issue.

Just do a page search for "3150" and you'll find the 2 blog posts where he mentions it

That what meklort is saying is (if I understand it correctly) that the Bootloader injects those patches (like the one from AlexIT) every time you start your netbook. I know that his Patches are different, and can be found in the NBI source. I'm also new to this, but if the GMA 3150 is close to the X3100, we should be able to use similar methods like the ones used in the GMA X3100 to patch the GMA 3150. That problem with the lowest brightness setting in the GMA 950 Kexts should be avoidable by editing the Graphics Enabler and adding some more DSDT Injection.

I recently tried to patch the GMA 950 Kexts, and got beyond that point where the Plugins and Bundles slow the GMA 3150 down - they do load now without the Errors AlexIT posted in his log. But sadly, it is still extremely slow. I also tried some Leopard X3100 Kexts, and they load very well, no slow down and it loads every plugin. So basically, those should work. But then I got either a Blue Screen, or a Striped one. It is either way because of the outdated drivers, or because of the Graphics Enabler edit. But they load all Plugins and Bundles without slowing down like the GMA 950 ones! I contacted the User who created those drivers, and all I can do is hope that he still knows what he did/has the sources he used, so that I can apply them to the 10.7.2 GMA X3100 drivers.

If all works out like I wish it would, we should be able to use those X3100 drivers. I mean, It already loads every Plugin - all thats missing is that the Screen is striped with some Purple-Blue-Yellow-Green Stripes
