Snow Leopard and D-Link DWL-G520 (Rev B) Size: 4.12 MB

This is how i got my D-Link DWL-G520 (Rev B) working as airport extreme in snow leopard 10.6.2 (This may work for other cards that use the Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212 / AR5213 chip, just add your device id to IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros.kext/Info.plist) Download IO80211Family.kext here and unzip it to your desktop. Install the IO80211Family.kext with kext helper. Repair disk permisions with disk utility. Reboot. Go to system preferences and add new network device, should now show airport. Et voila

In Snow Leopard 10.6.6, you just have to add your device id in AirPortAtheros21.kext/Info.plist

hi irmisha, thanks a lot!
I was updating to 10.6.2 when I realized that my D-Link DWL G520 stop working.
And when I found your kext, this just work for me. Really big help. Thanks.

Will update later when I managed to update higher to 10.6.7 if possible.

Also works on OS X Lion, but I'm using DSDT based system and only edit my IO80211 kext.

In what line should we add the device id? Where can we find such device id?
