GeForce GTX 550 Ti for Lion / OpenGL/EFI String | Size: 16.34 MB |
Here it is, a whole day of work just to get this to work properly. Full QE/CI support for Lion for the GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 1 GB memory. You need to copy the files in their respective folders as depicted in the compress folder in this download. I had to add the EFI string to the chameleon boot loader plist file in order for the Natit (nForce Enabler) to work. The file is included and if you simply want to keep yours, just copy and paste the bottom <device-properties> and the string onto your org.chameleon.Boot.plist files in the Extra folder. Also included is a working copy of the OpenGL to work with this files, downloaded from here. Proper credit goes to all of those people who worked and created this files. All I did was change the Dev ID to work on my setup and put them together. So here it is, if you have questions, feel free to ask, but please only for this card. Works with 10.7.1 as well.

Im not sure I understand your question. What do you mean by spelled gtx460? Either way, for the other downloaders, please report if it worked for you or not, it doesn't take long to do so. Thanks! |

v1nx, I still have no idea where you are getting the gtx460 from. Is that the card you have? I also speak spanish... What are you trying to do v1nx? nmano, are you talking about the EFI string? if that's the case, then simply open the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file and copy the string from there, its at the bottom... |

If you are looking for a way to create your EFI string, you can do what I did... 1. Download OSX86Tools and open it 2. Click on Add EFI Strings / Boot Flag 3. Click on GFX Strings on the top left corner 4. Under Graphics Card: choose Custom GeForce... 5. Follow the simple wizard by entering the facts about your card (name your video card, nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti or whatever you want to name it) Choose the amount of memory in your card and finally the ports configuration you have in your card (look at it and choose). 6. Copy the Hexadecimal EFI String and paste it under <device-properties> in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist located in the /Extra folder. Hope this helps |

Natit is an enabler, and the string is not a kext is more like telling your pc what you have. Either way, ukeman says he got it working with just adding GraphicEnabler=Yes which is even better news.. I haven't tried it but since mine is working and having the EFI string doesn't affect me in any way, I'll keep it as it is. Im just telling you guys what actually worked for me, but Im really glad its working out for others. Its awesome to be able to play any game at speeds as fast or faster than when I play in Windows 7.. Like World of Warcraft.. Very Nice! |

if the name of the card says gtx 440 its just the name given in the natit .plist nothing to worry about... you can change it if you want, but not while the kexts are loaded, maybe from windows or booting in safe mode without drivers. |
