PLEASE READ
If someone wants to try, use DSDT Editor and Patcher to generate a DSDT and also apply the GMA4500 patch from the .zip file...
Put the kext into Extra folder.
I don't have any machine with GMA4500 to try and also don't know if this works, i'm just helping someone who wants to try and
answering the question of d1a2d1y8...
So, if this don't work, don't ask me why...

First of all, the patch has 2 errors, the corect lines are: Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0×06) { “AAPL,HasPanel”, Buffer (0×04) {0×01, 0×00, 0×00, 0×00}, “model”, Buffer (0×07) {”GMA4500MHD”}, “device-id”, Buffer (0×04) {0×42, 0×2A, 0×00, 0×00} }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } Thank you Cassio over at http://olarila.com/ for pointing out that mistake, but with the corect patch applied to the dsdt, the 4500 kext still doesn't load. Can you tell us d1a2d1y8 in how did you succeed in loading the kext ??? |

If you want to patch your dsdt, watc the video from the first pige on: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=62 You save the corect code to 4500.txt for example, then patch the dsdt, compile it, fix the errors, and then save it. |
