Edited for alc887, but may work in another realtek alc sound cards too. This kext works perfectly on my Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1(rev.2.0) sound and mic works fine.

Update: I fixed some glitches with kext, it should work better than my first version.

You should read this before you install my kext:
1) Delete any conflict kexts like AudioAUUC, AppleHDA any ALC8xx enablers..etc.
2) After kexts is installed, reboot your pc and rebuild caches(-f), you can do it in Kext wizard too.
3) If sound icon appears grey(grey volume icon): then go to System pretences>sound> and configure outputs to line-out.
4*)If someone get kernel panic(KP) in Lion, boot your system with: usekernelcache=no, when mac os x has loaded, restart and start again your mac os x lion. You shouldn't get any KP any more.

I do some research, giofrida your sound card have 6 channel support, but mine audio has 2/4/5.1/7.1 channel support. Maybe in there is that problem... I am not professional programmer I am beginner in programming. As I say I need some test for this file-it working ability with another motherboards and alc8xx codex's.

I removed any conflicts kext like applehda.kext, alc8xxx, hdaxxx, etc.. I have no idea why I had kernel panic until I booted with rBoot.. anyway now it works even without rBoot (did nothing) and I have sound, great! thx

pepel13 do you reboot and load your system with -f(ignore caches), if it doesn't help boot using command usekernelcache=no, after systems loads, try restart it again and you should not see KP angain. Have you tried microphone, does it works on your system?

I just saw your answer osiccc. Everytime I shutdown my pc and turn it back on, I get KP. rBoot method worked for me until today... I tried -f, that didn't work, usekernelcache=no, and that worked. I wonder why but it worked lol, at least this time. Microphone does work on my pc.

Pepel13 try manualy config outputs, plug in your mic(rear or front), go to sound settings and choose the right output. This kext needs some config before you can use it.
