How do you install this when you have the target drive mounted on a real mac? |

NicoX: If you are not comfortable using the Terminal, then it can be a chore to install the new kernel. Also, if you are afraid of losing anything that you have installed under OSX then I suggest you get someone else to help you first. I have two harddisk drives so I can copy my important stuff from one to another before I try anything that might cause the system to not boot. OK...You have been warned. This could cause your system to not boot...so, use it at your own risk! The new kernel needs to be copied into the root of your boot diskdrive. I usually do this by using the Terminal and signing in as the root user. After the kernel is copied to the root directory of your boot disk, you need to make sure the permissions are correct. If you don't know what I am telling you then you probably need to get someone with a little more experience to help you. (Google is your best friend...) |

Worked perfectly on my 630i machine I had OS X 10.6.0 running with mach_kernel, downloaded and ran 10.6.5 Combo, didn't reboot when finished, replaced current mach kernel with this one, rebooted, drank soda, and we're all good ![]() Thank you! |

Weehee~~Tested this kernel, works great on AMD k10.5. Most programs i have runs smoothly with this kernel, only problem i had was Melodyne Studio and Virtualbox. Melodyne simply wont run (M editor will tho), and Virtualbox gives a instant restart if I try to use amd-vm service. Good work guys, very much appreciated. |

I have an i3 with 4 gb ran. gigabyte motherboard GA-G31M-S2L. everything works well, is a rocket, but the USB are causing problems, I think that is the kernel. and the 10.6.6 update came out, the kernel of this vercion have to work it better. I'm still in the struggle for perfection. Greetings |
