  1. ASUS K53SV, X53SV, A53Sv Package (Mountain Lion/Mavericks Soon!)

This package contains K53Sv kexts working with Mountain Lion 10.8.x (any build). I'm sorry if there're English errors here and there; I'm an Italian guy, and yeah, English isn't taught very well in my country, so I'm mostly self-taught. Though, feel free to report them, as well as any bug, in the comment section.

10 nov 2013 [WIP] Mavericks development and testing is in progress. Further news will be disclosed soon.
16 sep 2013 [uPGRADE/WIP] I've been busy due to Uni & Work, but the development of the package is STILL in progress. Further updates will be disclosed once OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) is released.

14 mar 2013 [PRE-ALPHA] Due to OSX failure, I'll have to wipe my whole drive before having it working again. In the meanwhile, I've uploaded a pre-Alpha meant for developers and advanced users only. Many things marked as "ALPHA" in the features list below aren't actually working or tested.

11 mar 2013 [ALPHA] Major Update (rev 4) alpha image is being tested NOW! Expect upload soon! (See changelog and features table below)

14 dic 2012 [PLANNED] Major Update (rev 4) is under development. Remember to check this page often.
    * Still stuck with HDMI/VGA patching. Sorry for the delay. A new update will come as soon as I'll manage to complete following operations:

13 nov 2012 [sTABLE] Update (rev 3): The package now supports FN key-combos for volume and iTunes control; moreover RestartHDA application freezing bug is now fixed.

15 oct 2012 - Update (rev 2): This package has been updated to support full power management and standby. Instructions for upgrading from previous package version or installing from scratch are both included inside the DMG and attached to this page (readme/readmeITA files).

Please read carefully instructions in the readme.rtf file provided both in the page and in the archive BEFORE doing anything.

Blue: requires Clover UEFI boot mode.
Red :available only with rev 4 ALPHA version.

    • Prebuilt DSDT for optimal notebook usage experience (disables useless NVidia GPU (not working in osx due to optimus), enables Alc269 audio, increases wi-fi coverage range, etc). You can disassemble this DSDT and include patches on your own, but it seems that all K53Sv computers supports it (tested on 4 pc).

    • Fully-Working drivers for most components

?? Intel i5/i7 CPUs - I think you can remove NullCpuPowerManagement after applying an external SSDT + extra kexts (untested).
    ?? Battery monitor ( AppleACPIBatteryMonitor )
?? Audio support (ALC 269) using modified AppleHDA + DSDT (really better than VoodooHDA). Fixed no-audio-after-standby bug.
?? Bluetooth driver (experimental, sometimes needs reboot to work?)
    ?? Graphics driver (less artifacts)
    ?? Lan driver
?? ELAN / ELANTech Touchpad kext (experimental, multitouch & gestures working!)
?? Wireless driver (with DSDT has a very good coverage - Intel cards not supported because no kext exists yet )
    - Full standby / stop support (including audio, everything seems to work after wake!)
    - Full CPU power management (reduced power consumption, really improved battery duration - about 2.00 hours on my unit with Clover)
    - Enhanced support for FN key combos (volume adjustment, toggle, media playback control, ...) (ALPHA)
    - UEFI bootable with Clover + Pre-configured Clover boot files
    - HDMI video-out (SOON)
    - HDMI stereo audio (and dolby/DTS passthrough, if possible) (SOON)
    - VGA video-out (DELAYED) • Applications/Shell scripts

    ?? Update kext permissions & cache (kextupdate.sh)
?? Restart audio after wake (application, RestartHDA.app - freezing bug fixed! - Not necessary anymore, but kept for compatibility .) • Boot configuration files

    ?? Optimized chameleon bootscript (revisioned)
?? Optimized Clover boot files (bootcamp experience)
?? Optimized SMBIOS (with working AppStore, iMessage , iCloud ), based on 15" Early 2011 MacBook Pro (MacBookPro8,2).
Thanks to EMlyDinEsH from OSXLatitude.com, to the OSX86.net community and to all the other developers who helped us with their work.

Optionally you can flash this modded BIOS from Windows/DOS/BIOS-itself as a regular update (check readme.txt provided with it) to unlock advanced motherboard/CPU settings (disable turbo boost, hyper threading, enable C6 state, etc.) -> Download (disaccording to the readme, i've tested it by myself and Chipset menu is still hidden, i've took a screenshot as proof)

CAUTION: This is ONLY meant for K53SV/X53SV/A53SV owners. Flashing it to any other machine, even if assembled by Asus (like the -SC variant), will certainly brick your unit irreversibly. In any case, use it at your own risk!

You don't need to mod your bios to get a fully working hackintosh; I've posted it just for expert people who may like tuning advanced settings & stuff.

This project is entirely dedicated to my friend Tiana.

  2. ASUS K55VD Ivy Bridge i7, (With or without DSDT)

ASUS K55VD Ivy Bridge i7, G610M HD4000 (With or without DSDT)

This is a simple guide on how to install Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on an Asus K55VD with Ivy Bridge with or without DSDT.

!!!September 2013 important info about 10.8.5 update!!!
If you update to 10.8.5 it will break USB3 if you enabled it in bios, making your usb ports disabled.
    Disable XHCI in Bios
or wait for an updated kext here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286860-genericusbxhci-usb-30-driver-for-os-x-with-source/ (Shouldnt be long),
or replace kext with beta kext GenericUSBXHCI_1.2.5d5.tar.gz found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/genericusbxhci/files/Snapshots/
Also if you got minor problems with preferences (brightness, boot options....) after update type this in terminal: sudo nvram boot-args="" then reboot (Not related to USB3)
UPDATED JULY 2013: read at bottom.

    Turbo boost
    Battery indicator
    PS2 Keyboard
    PS2 Trackpad
    HDMI Video (HD4000)
    Audio Speakers
    Audio Headphones
    Audio Micro
Webcam (Skype ok, not working with FaceTime and Photo Booth)
USB3 (now working better with july update, check below) ---> OK, but either USB3+USB1 , or USB2+USB1
(power problem, bug also present on some MacBook Pro 2012 with 10.8.x).
    Select from bios :
For USB1+USB3 only: Legacy Off, XHCI Enabled.
For USB1+USB2 only: Legacy Enabled, XHCI Off.

    Not Working:
    VGA Port (G610M)
HDMI Audio (possible via DSDT Edit)
Wifi (Remplace with Atheros AR9280 (wifi) or Atheros AR5B195 AR3011 (wifi/bluetooth).)
    Card reader (Bug Realtek+10.8.2?)
Gestures (now working with july update)
FN Keys (now working with july update)

Reboot from USBKEY, at prompt enter -V -F -X.

Go to S/L/E, remove GFORCE Kexts (9 Kexts, 4 GeForce, 5 NV...) and Myhack.kext (Backup kexts).
Use Kextwizard to install kexts from Post-install folder to K55VD/SLE folder (backup again).
Repair boot caches and permissions of Extras + S/L/E.

Replace K55VD/Extra/Chameleonboot.plist with the one from Post-install folder.
Reinstall Chameleon-2.2svn-r2134 on your system disk (Needed because Myhack install an obsolete Chameleon version), and update Chameleon as soon you are connected to internet (optional ,but better).

    Restart normally.

    Install VoodooHDA, reboot.
    You done.

If you get some crashes with VoodHDA.kext ,try edit VoodooHDA.kext/Contents/info.plist with this string (or use your HDA Vendor/Device id if yours is different), and rebuild kernelcache.

Modify your Serial number in Smbios.plist from extras folder with Chameleon Wizard.

You can do most of software updates normally, but if you get a kernel panic at reboot, you will need to restart in safe mode,
reinstall modified kexts and remove Gforce kexts in S/L/E again.

For FNKeys and HDMI Audio to fully work you will need to tweak your DSDT, check other guides for this.

    UPDATE JULY 2013:

    New features:

    With DSDT:

    Power: NVIDIA GForce now disabled.

All FN keys now working with new kext.

Audio: No more Voodoo HDA, now instead features a patched HDA kext.

    Without DSDT:

Trackpad: Gestures now enabled and better sensitivity with new kexts.

iMessage, FaceTime, Appstore now enabled with Chameleon module.

USB3 now fully working and compatible with USB2 and USB1.

Plz install dsdt and new related files after post-install is done (you will crash if you try to use dsdt in pre-install phase).

Update Chameleon boot loader to latest version if needed, else modules may not work (use Kext Wizard).

In Extra folder, add dsdt file and modules and update Org.chameleon.Boot.plist with link to dsdt file in Chameleon Wizard or manually.

In System/Extensions remove VoodooHDA.kext (if you decide to use patched AppleHDA.kext) and PS2 related kexts (AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and ApplePS2Controller.kext).

In System/Extensions install new kexts with kext utility (select backup replaced files).

Rebuild System cache, repair System/Extensions permissions.

VERY IMPORTANT: In bios switch both USB settings to enabled, else you will crash with the new USB3 kext.

    -repair permission
-to avoid random KP. boot with UseKernelCache=No

    screenshot :

UPDATE: 100% working ( bluetooth, sound, mic sleep, restart, shutdown, fn Key, wifi, lan , Graphics NVidia GT520m).

  9. Asus K52JE

The folder structure speaks for itself.

    - Place the contents of Applications into the applications folder.

    - After installing Chameleon or Chimaira boot loader (I recommend you do this manually), copy the contents of the Chameleon/Chimaira folder to your EFI or OSX partition (Depends on how where you install the boot loader)

    - Copy the contents of S/L/D/O to /System/Library/Display/Overides (Delete the folder already present first, because it contains hidden files that will not be replaced.)

    - Install the kexts in S/L/E with Kext Wizard (Included in the Applications folder).

After the above steps, you will have the following working:
    - Wifi
    - Audio Conexant Cx20671 (Does not show up under System Profiler, but it works, mic and speakers, also with headset. Controlable through System Preferences)
    - Graphics Radeon Mobility HD5470 (The display overide and the boot flag AtiConfig=Hoolock give full compatibility)
    - Touchpad (2 finger scrolling, settings can only be controlled by the mouse settings in the System Preferences.)
    - Webcam (Utility to flip the screen is called iGlasses, not included since it is shareware.)
    - Battery management (VoodoBattery)

The FN keys are not working, would be nice if someone can add this to the dsdt.
Ethernet is not working, well, not recognized, i don't use it, but it should be easy to fix this.
Still working on the card reader, if i get to it, i will add it to the package.

I'm running this package with Lion 10.7.2, i don't know if it works with previous versions.

Added a failsafe package. This package can be used for the bootable USB installer.
It will boot lion up to 10.7.4 tested.

Graphics are not fully recognized in this one, use the other package for that.

To create the installer, mount "Install Mac OS X ESD" and start xMove. It's ok if it gives an error, just check if the files have been copied to your USB device. Make sure the USB device has been formatted in MBR before you start the process. After xMove completes, use the following guide to install Chameleon boot loader: http://{censored}.blogspot.com/2009/11/how-to-install-chameleon-manually-from.html

Then copy the files from the Failsafe archive to the usb root.

You can set hidden files to be visible by using the following command in terminal: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

    CBA to fix the attributes.

Also i have included a new DSDT.aml, this one will prevent the HDD from freezing from time to time. Do not use it on your USB, since it contains Graphic strings, with need the display override!

  11. GenericUSBXHCI USB 3.0 v 1.2.4

Support for most chips. Who on board two different chip and one of them is running natively, I advise in advance to register IOPCIPrimaryMatch
    Topic is discussed Here

  12. Asus N55SF Mountain Lion

This is my first experience with an Hackintosh. I've working hard and now i'm really glad to share with you my experience. Sorry for my bad english, i'm italian. Greeting from Verona!.

    Mount the attacched dmg:
    Kext goes in S/L/E
    Extra in /...

So this is what is working:
    i7 2630qm with turbo boost (multiplier goes from 8x to 26x )
HD3000, full HD resolution with duallink patch. QE/CI support with vanilla kext (device id 0116 8086, not 0126)
Realtek ALC663 with voodooHDA, patched for 1c20 8086 (intel audio controller) and 10de 0bee (ALC663)
    USB 3.0 ASM1042 (1b21 1042)
Wifi and Bluetooth Atheros AR5B195 AR3011 with Airport and Airdrop support
Synaptics trackpad with two finger scrolling
FN Keys, with volume+/volume-/mute/play/pause keys (device PNP0C14)
Sleep state, wakeup with all device working
    Battery management
    Sd card reader

    Not working/issue:
Backlight is set at 100% after wakeup. Pressing FN+F2 will set backlight at the same state before sleep.
Webcam is not working with native application (photo boot, FaceTime). If you want to make it working you need to open FaceTime then open a webpage and allow Flash Player to access your webcam and microphone (for example, taking a picture from facebook page or testing your webcam at http://testwebcam.com) then the webcam video stream will show up.
Booting on verbose mode "SNB Framebuffer did not show up, unload" appear, it does this twice, and takes 30-45 seconds each. Without -v flag, system take the same time to bootup, even with kernelcache set on boot.plist.

    Unknow working device:
HDMI and VGA out, not tested
    multitouch gesture with synaptics trackpad

If you have any solution for the issues described above, or if you have any problem about my configuration, please write here. Bye!

  13. P8P67 full support pack

This is a full P8P67 kexts with bootloader support package. Run the installer sit back, restart the hackintosh and you will get all the problem fixed like sound, lan, graphics most of the ATI and sandy bridge kernel etc.

This is I have tested in 64 bit with 10.6.7 Update. Perfect !! No KP runs like a charm !! Have fun guys if you updated to Sandy bridge with i3, i5 or i7 .

    [mod edit]
Andy created a boot cd that should work perfectly for a P8P67 Pro although it may also work for other Sandy Bridge motherboards.

    Thanks to Andy

  14. Dell Vostro 1710 Lion Files

This is my extra folder and all the kexts I use for my Dell Vostro 1710. It should also work with the 1310 and 1510 but you'll have to change the DSDT if you have nvidia graphics. Everything is perfect except for the O2micro card reader.

  15. ASUS K56CM

    All driver work

  16. Lenovo G780 i7 Ivy bridge Kexts+Extra

All kexts and files needed to proper install and boot G780 with ivy bridge i7 (only for 17" 1600x900 - patched dsdt with dual link). Maybe will work for 15" too. Who knows....

Pre-install: update to latest bios 5ECN96WW, disable nvidia in bios (or you need to delete all NV* kexts from /S/L/E), Disable UEFI, select everything whats possible to Legacy mode

    1. Create installer with myhack 3.2 beta 8
    2. replace the Extra folder with this one.
    3. Install all kexts from /Extra/Extensions to /S/L/E using kext wizard (yes you will have them duplicated but thats ok). Repair permissions and rebuild cache
    4. Connect USB to port located on right side where the optical drive is.
    5. No boot options needed (-f = if you did not rebuild the cache). Full resolution with QE/CI installer will appear. Install Mac OS
    6. Reboot, boot from installer, selected installed disk and use "-x -f USBLegacyOff=Yes"
    7. Copy Extra folder from installdisk to installed ML
    8. install all kexts from /Extra/Extensions to /S/L/E and delete the /Extra/Extensions folder. Repair permissions, rebuild cache.
    9. Boot and enjoy.

Update to 10.8.5: Use Combo update, rollback AppleACPIPlatform from this file

Not working: Wifi, FN Brightness, Nvidia, touchpad after wakeup

PS: In case you don't have QE/CL try different efi string injection for the HD4000. If the USB disk wont appear in boot menu restart using CTRL+ALT+DEL. This laptop does POST boot so fast that my USB HDD won't make it at first time after turning on using power button.

  17. USB3 AsMedia x ASUS motherboards like P8Z68-VPro

This procedure make USB3 active on your system if you have ASMEDIA USB3 like ASUS Motherboards (tested on ASUS P8Z68-VPro).

  21. [Mountain Lion]Kexts and DSDT/SSDT for Lenovo G570

This is a pack to make everything work on a Lenovo G570, including sleep. Cardreader will probably work but i haven't test it.

    My specs:

    Intel Core I3 w/ Intel HD3000
    6GB Ram
500GB disk (not the original one, i had an issue with the Advanced Format so i was unable to install the bootloader)
    ConexantHD audio
brightness works (keyboard shortcuts are FN+Insert and FN+Home)

  22. Asus K55VM

Asus K55VM full working, including trackpad and HD4000. In bios, disable USB 3.0 in msdos and enable legacy usb. Adjust HD4000 to 64mb.
Download original ML from appstore, copy to 8gb usb with U{censored}.
After installation, if you have kp or not charge ML, enter in terminal with the usb installer and remove GEFORCE and nvidia kext from s/l/e.
I don't use dsdt. HD4000 is enable with a efi string in org.chameleon.boot.plist.
Works fully anything, sound, trackpad, lan, ...
I changed the wifi card with other with bluetooth integrated.

  25. Lion Installing package

I am uploading again the Lion Installation package with details how to install the system on PC.
This is Lion Installer package DMG with detailed Information and screenshots.
I have Installed it on my GA P35 DS4 Motherboard, works perfect. I am not sure for Motherboards with other chipsets....
Only make sure to setup the bios correct for Mac os x.

Note... This package is only for retail Lion dmg from Apple Store, if you have the modified version of Lion, then I think that you don't need this package.

    Best Regards...
