Wow it work, I delete PXHCD.kext and then I install this and my USB3.0 is working. Now Sleep and Shutdown is working in my computer too.

My computer is a K53SC and I'm running Lion 10.7.4.

Thank you! This works for Shuttle SH67H3. I had to remove NullCPUPowerManagement.kext to get it to boot, but both sleep and shutdown are currently working (as is USB 3.0)

jtholb ... What configuration are you using, I am unable to boot without NullCpuPowerManagement.kext

Are you using a DSDT file? I am able to use USB 3 but both sleep and shutdown do not work.

Worked perfectly on Asus P8P67-LE. Had the PXHCD kext that made my hackintosh reboot instead of shutdown. Now everything is fine.

Thanks

AndyStubs,

Thank you very much for the Driver! Works with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro. So I guess you can change the Works with 10.6.x from No to Yes ;)

Thanks again!

More information on above ... I am using the driver for an Express Card 34 by ASMedia model NM-302 two port USB-3 adapter.

I would be interested in hearing the story behind the driver, was it a port of the Linux driver avaiable from ASMedia? (I am a newbee.)

Thanks again Andy!

MitchellBrat,

I got mine from Geeks dot com http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?InvtId=NM-302

There were a couple of others I found on line just now. Just make sure that it has the AS1042 Chipset. The one from CalDigit said they provide drivers for Mac OSX, so the above driver may be moot for that one.

I just did some transfer speed tests and got sustained write speed on 60 M Byte / Second with peaks to over 280! Considerably Faster than my USB 2 devices.

Enjoy!

@ GeorgeV73GT

Could you imagine to buy me one of these cards and ship it to me, out of the USA per "snail mail"? Till now I couldn't find an offer for this express card nor another with the ASMedia AS or ASM1042 chipset. I would tell you my contact data und you could tell me your paypal account. So I send you the money and you send the express card. Would be great to live the globalization this kind. Look forward to hear from you.

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. I installed the driver but my USB3.0 expresscard doesn't work. I can see "USB Super-Speed Bus" showing up in the USB Device Tree in System Information though. Any comments or suggestions?

I installed this package as I have an onBoard Asmedia 1042 UsB3.0 controller on my Asus P9X79 Pro motherboard. Install went fine and I wanted to restart.

Now my system doesn't boot anymore. Kernel Panics. Even in Safe Mode and Single User Mode. I went into Terminal via Install Disc trying to locate the two kexts and delete them but they're not in S/L/E or any other relevant folder on my drive. What other changes does the installer do, that I have to reverse? Any suggestions please!
