...... or ACPI/FixDsdtMask = 0x0000 in /EFI/config.plist.

Q/A:

How to install InstallESD.dmg to GPT. since r480.

First, you need to Restore InstallESD.dmg to disk by using Disk Utility.

Then, follow the stage 1 and stage 2 to install 10.7.x or 10.8.x to GPT, and auto-create the Recovery HD used for iCloud.

Stage 1

1.Remove kernelcache in InstallESD.dmg/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist.

Kernel Cache remove this line.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx remove this line.

2.Copy BaseSystem.dmg/System/Library/Extensions to partition of InstallESD.dmg and add other kexts (FakeSMC.kext).

3.Clover select to "Boot Mac OS X with extra kexts (skips cache)", and follow the installation with restart first time.

Stage 2

1.Remove kernelcache in target partition's /OS X Install Data/com.apple.Boot.plist.

Kernel Cache remove this line.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx remove this line.

( 10.7.x is /Mac OS X Install Data/com.apple.Boot.plist )

2.Copy InstallESD.dmg/System/Library/CoreServices and /mach_kernel to target partition's / .

3.Copy BaseSystem.dmg/System/Library/Extensions to target partition's / and add other kexts (FakeSMC.kext).

4.Boot to "OS X Install" with "Boot Mac OS X with extra kexts (skips cache)" and finish the installation.

(10.7.x is "Mac OS X Install")

Install Clover by using boot1h2 or boot1f32alt, after test done with 2 seconds.

Default boot to boot Clover EFI 64bit,

Press key 1 to boot1 for Chameleon

Press key 3 to boot3 for Clover EFI 32bit,

Press key 6 to boot6 for Clover EFI 64bit,

Clover EFI bootloader come from Slice @ ProjectOSX.CloverV2-logo.png

package by crazybirdy.

PKG will install for MBR as below.

?/boot

?/EFI/ (folder)

?/etc/rc.local

?/etc/rc.shutdown.local

and you may need to modify the setup files, refer to /EFI/config-sample.plist.

?/EFI/config.plist

Put Extra kexts to /System/Library/Extensions and rebuild kernelcache.

Suggest to install Clover EFI to a SD card or flash drive with MBR HFS+, it works fine.

Only test on 64bits CPU, both 32bits and 64bits work fine with arch=i386 and arch=x86_64.

@fbifido, can you install Lion with Clover, or boot Lion with Clover?

Try to use USB flash of Clover, that's should be primary partition issue, need to install Clover to primary partition or EFI partition.

I have a netbook with Atom n270 CPU.

In Chameleon,I put the patched kernel in SD-card and make a kernel parameter "bt(0,0)/Extra/mach_kernel" to make Snow Leopard load it and I don't make any modified in my HDD.

Someone can tell me how to make Clover find the patched kernel in SD-card?

Hello everyone

Have a problem:

I've install Lion 10.7.4 on my PC using XPC loader. Everything works perfectly but to load my installed Lion i used XPC loader on usb flash.

After that i formated my USB flash and now i have no Lion instalation and no XPC loader.

Now i'm trying to somehow load my installed Lion without XPC. Problem: i can use only UEFI loader because i have 3TB hard drive with strong GPT partitioning (WITHOUT hybrid MBR). I can't use hybrid MBR because then i can't load my Windows7 (OS thinks then that there is an MBR, not GPT, and fails to start).

I've found out that this can be done only by Clover.

I downloaded Win_USBTools-Fat32_Clover_v2_r487.zip and copied the content of Clover_v2_r487_EFI_USB to my efi partition. Using UEFI console i started Clover. But there are only my Windows7 loader, Linux grub loader, many NTFS partitions (to load Windows) that don't load anything and that's all. A can see there my HFS partition with Lion.

Here is my HARD Drive configuration:
