mmmmmm, I have an x53sv and cannot even run a right compiled DSDT cause I got Kernel panic due to AppleIntelCpuPowerManagmet, so I have to load NullCpu..... kext. But if you got it working "simply" with a DSDT I hope someone could soon enable this card by bootloader too. Why don't you share this result around? There are lot of people hoping to enable this cards!

For the first time I install it using iAtkos L2

my customize that i choose:

- chameleon 2.1

- GraphicEnabler

- Buit in Ethernet

- FakeSMC

- Disabler

- RTC

- Evoreboot

- PS/2

- Laptop Battery (VoodooBattery)

because of using this DSDT, I remove LegacyRTC & Evoreboot

Using smbios.plist generate using champlist and using chameleon v2.1 svn r1801

i have both hd3000 and gt540m (1gb) ...strange , if you an i7 cpu, that you don't have hd3000 graphics. It's embedded in intel hm65 chipset for laptops.

evilhouse, can you explain exactly how did you got the GT540M working? I have the same PC, with Intel Graphics + GT540M. Everything works except graphics, as im stuck with 1024x768. Just how did you do it? Thanks!

If you have Optimus, you're fucked. use IntelHD3000 and expect no support. if you have dedicated GPU and you have correctly inserted your device ID into the NVDAGF100Hal kext, deleted the NVDA40 and 50, make sure you have GeForce.kext including GL, VA bundle. Make sure NVDAResman is there.. delete /S/L/Caches/kexts/startup/kernelcache. reboot, should have 1920x1080 or the option for it. If not, inject your device ID into GeForce and NVDAResman and delete kernel cache and reboot. Tada

(To the idiots with Optimus, they're is a bridge to your left.. please go jump off it before asking how to disable your IntelHD)

F**k. This is so frustrating to come across, PLEASE DO NOT POST FALSE TITLES, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNOW IT IS FALSE:

** THIS IS NOT A PATCH FOR THE GT540M, BUT A DEVICE-PROPERTY MODIFICATION ****

Device-Property mods do NOT enhance the performance of your Video Card WHATSOEVER, modifying an xml-hex table will NOT "patch your video card". it has been linked to solving brightness/sleep/full-resolution errors/but NOTHING MORE THAN COSMETIC VALUE(S).

GETTING OSx86 to boot with QE/CI is like tying your shoelaces for the first time, when you tweak the resolution, QE/CI is forced - I could write my life story in device-properties, Mac wouldn't give 2 flying cats.

ENABLING FULL GPU/VRAM SUPPORT IS NOT CAPABLE ON LION AS OF YET FOR ANY G5xxM Cards, if for any reason you're ignorance is bliss... please download http://www.atpurpose.com/atMonitor and observe the performance of the GPU/TEMP/VRAM - If your GPU is stuck at 0% then you need to inject your device ID into the NVHAL100 kext and you're an idiot.

If your VRAM is INACTIVE, then you effed up your device-property and/or are missing the GeforceGL and VA plugins. if your VRAM is ACTIVE but 0 B are in use, then you DO NOT HAVE A PATCH FOR YOUR GT540M, you have what we all have - and that's not much. FINALLY, if you have VRAM active, showing 1 > B in use then we got a goldmine in your S/L/E buddy.
