Working in a Windows 7 (64-bit) VMware Workstation 8 virtual OS X 10.6.8. My physical CPU is a Phenom II x4 955 3.2GHz.

When the vm is set to a single core cpu it shows as "4.3GHz Intel Core Solo"

When the vm is set to a dual core cpu it shows as "4.3 GHz Intel Core Duo"

When the VM is set to a duad core cpu it shows as "4.3 GHz unknown"

mv /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib.patched /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

amd_insn_patcher /usr/lib/dyld /usr/lib/dyld.patched

mv /usr/lib/dyld.patched /usr/lib/dyld

amd_insn_patcher /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/Versions/A/CarbonCore /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/Versions/A/CarbonCore.patched

mv /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/Versions/A/CarbonCore.patched /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CarbonCore.framework/Versions/A/CarbonCore

amd_insn_patcher /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents.patched

mv /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents.patched /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents

amd_insn_patcher /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component/Contents/Resources/QuickTimeH264.scalar /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component/Contents/Resources/QuickTimeH264.scalar.patched

mv /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component/Contents/Resources/QuickTimeH264.scalar.patched /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component/Contents/Resources/QuickTimeH264.scalar
