@AsiAkin Can you please explain side by step how to add the pci string to the kext, or is it added in the first place?

@Daneoke Can you describe what you did?

Help is appreciated...

@jasonwsc I just installed the driver using champlist, rebuild caches and disk permission (disk utility), rebooted , and then the tapping worked . But I have NO wireless options, neither in both places mentioned ..

If you make any progress, please report back :-)

(It didn't turn blue automatically , try tapping it)

Looking at Console logs i found this error:

Can't read info dictionary for AppleAirportBrcm43225.kext: IOCFUnserialize: syntax error near line 1.

Any idea?

Hi there. Tanks for the time it took you to research this :D

I have the same problem as people above. I dont know what has to be modified. And in wich Info.plist it should be.

At first i thought I had to replace the question marks that appears on one of the tags. But it seems to have no effect

sudo vi /System/Library/Extensions/Broadcom43225.kext/Contents/Info.plist - enter password- find this sectionCFBundleSignature????- replace ???? with your PCI ID. mine was 14e4,4357. So once pci string added my string key looks like;CFBundleSignaturepci14e4,4357- notice "pci14e4,4357"

The id is the same as yours pci14e4,4357, but I can't get the wifi to work, might it be that I'm on 10.8.2, has anybody tested this kext on 10.8.2???

Umm, almost everyone has failed to make this work. Just thinking it's best to get another card.
