About This File

This Kext works for me after Update to Lion 10.7.1.

I use Emachines E510 (its the same like Acer Aspire 5310), so it should work on other Aspires, too.

Microfon is working perfect.

This kext is better then Voodoo HDA, cause the Mic didnt work with Voodoo.

Let me know if it's working for your System.

Works only with Realtek ALC268 sound card.

Remove all other Audio kexts before install, repair permissions.

No need to edit DSDT, no hda enabler needed.

Update: Kext is working with Mountain Lion, too. Makes sure to enable 32bit mode in org.chameleon.boot.plist.

Install in S/L/E and remove the original AppleHDA.kext, important: Remove Voodoo HDA and hda enabler.

Good Luck!

Used this kext with 10.7.1 on my Extensa 5220 - speakers AND headphones working !! (I really messed around with voodooHDA kexts, you can't even imagine :) After sleep speakers are still working BUT headphones are very silent... If we please share our experiences! What can we do?

Works on my Acer Extensa 5220 Lion 10.7.4 (32 bit) but disable all the USB devices like ext. hard disk, pen drive, etc... :concern:

"Update: Kext is working with Mountain Lion, too. Makes sure to enable 32bit mode in org.chameleon.boot.plist."

How to do this? Enabling 32 bit mode in Mountain Lion does not work for me (set with Chameleon Wizard), it then freezes at [PCI Configuration] or something like that...

Nice work but, for me, the audio out jack works but not the internal speakers. The internal mic works too, so what a waste :(I am running 10.7.5 on a Toshiba L305-S5883 with the ALC268.
