I have the same problem.Don't install this kext to /S/L/E!!!This kext must be in /Extra/Extensions folder and in /S/L/E IOUSBFamily.kext IOPCIFamily.kext must be original.Don't touch them!

delete kext cache and restart

After restart you have all usb work and Cam with PhotoBooth skype iChat etc.work like charm;)

Do I need to put anything else besides these two into /Extra/Extensions?

When generating cache it complains about missing dependencies, i.e.

IOPCIFamily.kext - no dependency found for com.apple.kpi.unsupported.

IOPCIFamily.kext - no dependency found for com.apple.kpi.iokit.

IOPCIFamily.kext - no dependency found for com.apple.kpi.mach.

IOPCIFamily.kext - no dependency found for com.apple.kpi.libkern.

IOPCIFamily.kext is missing dependencies (including anyway; dependencies may be available from elsewhere)

Is this normal or expected?

On the other hand I've tried to load it on running system and got information as below:Can't load /Extra/Extensions/IOPCIFamily.kext - a different version is already loaded

How could this be loaded? I'm on 10.7.0 at the moment.

I installed these kexts into Extra folder. My USB ports works like charm now. However, my webcam isn't working: la LED light is on but doesn't stream anything. Any suggestion ?
