tar zxvf?~/Downloads/Mavericks_GM_MBR_Patch.tar.gz?-C?/Volumes/"installer volume name"

?

The file extension on the download is just .tar - Not tar.gz

I also had to run the sudo command. I changed the extension to:

?

sudo tar zxvf?~/Downloads/Mavericks_GM_MBR_Patch.tar?-C?/Volumes/"installer volume name"

?

If you're like me and not too great at command stuff then rename your usb drive to something without spaces and thats easy to remember

ie - I rename my "myHack OS X Install" as "myHack."

?

This is easy stuff! read what you're downloading, copying, pasting!

?

Also. If youre like me and change your download directory in your browser - remember to put it in /Users/Home/Downloads directory.
