I had to boot with the flag ?/mckay_kernal and it seemed to work not sure if im going to have to do that every time now or not

and im assuming I shouldnt use mach_kernal

?

?

?

this is after I renamed mach_kernal to mckay_kernal ? should I put mckay_kernal in /Extra?

?

?

?

hmm Diablo 3 still stuck in 1280x720 ?but games that werent working before work now So guess thats a different issue

No...not in /extra.......mckay_kernel should be in main directory only ... i.e "/"...???? [Rename Your mach_kernel to mckay_kernel]

and obviously your all games would work now..bcoz you have QE/CI Now...

so..Hows the Overall Performance???Working like charm.??

?

one last thing... wats your specs..? [detail-description]

Hi!

Can you help with my DSDT, please?

I'm new with DSDT....I've generated DSDT file for my computer and it's working fine, but I can't get injection to work.

I have loaded both kext's and these are my files (DSDT original and IOREG).

Extract Files From It

Copy DSDT.aml Included in Zip in /Extra Folder

Copy Two Patched Kexts Included in zip in /System/Library/Extensions

Repair permissions Through Disk Utility

Reboot

Note:-Disable iGPU From BIOS [in-Case]

Boot With This Boot Flag>> "AtiConfig=kCattail" with Your Working Additional Boot Flags....[Without Quotes ...Case-Sensitive]

E.g> AtiConfig=kCattail -v

Gud Luck..

Hi.

I´ve installed Yosemite GM C1 with the your ?injection DSDT, but i don´t have the same video card performance than mavericks:

Novabench GPU test: 1700 fps (mavericks)

Novabench GPU test: 700 fps (yosemite)

Is there any solution for that?

Thanks.

Hello Deekay, ive been reading the board on how to install the drivers for my gpu *7970m* And when i tried doing the patch and then restarting it, mavericks would instantly crash. I deleted the modified dsdt from the extras folder and was able to boot up again. Also I had GraphicsEnabler=On but it didnt work/wouldnt boot so I turned it off again. Heres a link to my google drive so you can hopefully fix whatever I might have done wrong :( Thanks a lot, and I guess pm me if you need more info. This is my first time doing a hackintosh and ive been doing it since yesterday at 6pm lmao. Also, im on an alienware m17x r3 with an i7-2760qm. Thanks again in advance!

Deekay, thank you very much for your help! But it doesn't worked :(

I can see "AMD Radeon HD 6xxx 2048 MB" on system information, but the problem is with kext. If I put my device ID (6742) in AMDRadeonX3000, i got stucked in boot screen, that blank one before password.....i just see 'loading icon' and sometimes mouse, but looks like a loop on that screen. Any idea?

My GPU is identified by 7500/7600 Series in windows, but the label on the board says 'HD 6570'. The device ID is correct, 6742.

Thank you again!

It Must Work...This is Pure Method and It Should Work...may be there's an issue with your device ID ..Confirm it that it is 6742...otherwise re-install Mac or use Chimera Bootloader v2.2.1 to start your mac PC...

and After Every Changes to /System/Library/Extensions Folder ,You Have To Repair Disk Permissions From Disk Utility...

One Last Thing..If it shows "AMD Radeon HD 6xxx 2048 MB" in System Information Then You Are On Right Path...

My Suggestion Freshly Re-Install Mac and Use Chimera BootLoader v2.2.1 [Chameleon]....

?

Note:Dont Change Anything in Kexts Provided in Zip Just Put It in Extensions Folder.

Hi DeeKay,

?

I'm also struggling with DSDT injection for mi 7970 GHz Edition, in order to achieve (if possible) 4k output via DP. It's a long road, and one of the most important steps is DSDT injection...

?

I've tried to compile DSDT.aml by myself, but even with clean DSDT I got errors and warnings...

?

I've attached my IOReg and two DSDT files:

?

- DSDT_original is untouched DSDT

- DSDT_prb1 is my test

?

As you can imagine, my test isn't very good, I got Kernel panic (ACPM) if I try that DSDT file.

?

So, If you're so kind to help me a bit :)

?

?

Thanks for your kexts, now I'm able to boot with 7970 card directly, I don't have to use internal graphics card.

?

My config:

?

- Chameleon 3.0.1 in EFI partition

- 10.9.3 (as 10.9.3 has enhanced 4k support)

- Asrock Z87 Extreme 4

- Shappire 7970 GHz edition

?

Thanks in advance.

Hey DeeKay,
?
I am using HP Envy 17t3200 CTO 3D Edition laptop, and I had the 14A389 Yosemite installed on it. I am also having my Radeon HD 7850M/8850M driving problem. Here I attached the zip file which includes DSDT.aml file(edited by me), ioreg file and screen shots of the "display" string in my IORegistryExplorer. Could you please help me take a look at if I put the injection strings into the right place? I don't know if I should put it under "Device (PEG0)" or "Device (PEGP)". And also was there anything I did in a wrong way? Thank you very much for your concerning, I am very much appreciate it! :-)

Before doing this, I installed the bootloader to my EFI partition (I am using Yosemite) and removed the extra folder from my main drive to the EFI partition after installing the bootloader. After doing this, my computer started up fine with no issues...

?

I am currently using a Sapphire R9 280x and I could not find the file for that so I used the file for the 270x. I copied the extra folder from the EFI partition and put another copy back in my main drive, and I saved the DSDT to that extra folder. When I restarted my computer, before it tried booting, the computer said something along the lines of "PCIRoot set to 0, if you want it set to 1 please use -PCIRootUID flag", and then it goes to the apple screen and panics.

Breakdown of what I said:
-Using Sapphire R9 280x

-Running OS X Yosemite

-Used 270x files (280x could not be found)

What do I do? Should I go into my main drive, remove the extra folder again, and save the 270x DSDT to the EFI partition extra folder?

Thanks
