Hello,

I tested this kext with sound card Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E (SB1040) and I can confirm that it works in general with Yosemite 10.10.3

?

But I found one issue with this kext:

I use a front audio panel which is connected by HDA to the sound card. But when I choose "Headphones (Green Front)" in the setting there is no audio at all. But when I choose SPDIF-out (grey rear) I get sound on the front headphone jack. So I think the ports are not match correct.

?

I would be happy If someone could help me with this issue.

?

These are the specs of my Hackintosh:

CPU: Intel i7 4790k - Board: Gigabyte GA-Z97-UD3H - Graphics: Gigabyte GTX 960 - Sound: X-Fi Xtreme SB1040 - RAM: 2x8GB DDR3-1600 CL9 - SSD: 2x250GB 850 EVO - HDD: HGST Deskstar 4TB - PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 630W - Case: be quiet! Silent Base 800, WLAN+BT: Broadcom BCM94360CD + PCIe Adapter - Methode: Ozmosis

Hi,

I tested on Yosemite 10.10.3, but not works..

How did you installed kext?

Have you changed anything in 'org.chameleon.Boot.plist'?

Hello Riz920,

this is the way I installed it:

1.) deleted AppleHDA.kext from /System/Library/Extensions

2.) Repair permissions with the app "Kext Wizard"

3.) Install the Voodoo.kext with the install function from "kext Wizard"

4.) Repair permissions again (just to be safe)

5.) Reboot Hackintosh

6.) Go to Setting --> Sound, and choose Line-Out (green rear)

?

But actually I have some problems with this kext. Since I installed it Safari and other app crash randomly. In the crash report I found some lines which indicate some problems with muting. But actually I really can not read these crash reports properly.

?

Have you ever had similar problems since you installed the kext?

?

I think I will get a cheap Audigy 2 from eBay and use the kx project kext....

?

Greetings,?

Steffen
