PurpleRestore is a tool made by Apple and is used for flashing iDevices. It provides far more customization than iTunes, and it is usually used to flash internal firmware to prototypes.

This tool can (and is meant to) handle multiple restores. When performing restores PurpleRestore color coordinates the device in the table and when the device is about to receive the AppleLogo it will turn the background color of the screen to the color assigned to the device. Like iTunes, PurpleRestore communicates with iDevices using a usbmux connection.

"PurpleFAT" is an Apple Factory Activation tool, assumed to be used in factories for UUT's (units under test). If the unactivated device is plugged into a computer and the software is run, it searches for the device and would activate it (Seems not to work and just plays a sound saying "Oh nooh!") PurpleFAT needs an activation sever. https://albert.apple.com/WebObjects/ALUnbrick.woa/wa/deviceActivation does not work.

Application can be locked for some security reasons, and requires a passcode when unlocking the interface (This passcode is stored in a string, when dissasembled can be found at __text:00003089).

PurpleSNIFF is a tool made by Apple to read identification and diagnostic information from the device. The tool is used by Apple engineers as well as factory workers at Foxconn/Pegatron. It's included in the RestoreTools package.

Like iTunes, PurpleSNIFF communicates with iDevices using a usbmux connection.

PurpleBuildSanitizer is an Apple internal Mac application for stripping internal builds for internal use. When creating a stripped bundle, it names the folder like so, N92-INTERNAL-INSTALL-iPhone3,3_4.2.6_8E200_Restore.

"Application can be locked for some security reasons, and requires a passcode when unlocking the interface (This passcode is stored in a string, when dissasembled can be found at __text:00003089)." - Disassembled in IDA Pro but this location does not seem to exist. Could someone tell me what the password is (I accidentally locked it)

DCSD seems to throw "DCSD_Settings.plist" is not signed.  There is no string in IDA that corresponds.

youtube video has been removed, can some one upload the file or dropbox or re-upload again on youtube so I can get an idea what this is about..? I installed the package.. after that theres no result, no icon or app to represent the installation and im assuming running the installer again will allow me to remove the installation? or is this a baked installer that I need to manually find the .plist files myself in various locations on the Mac...? :s

Concept: Im on 10.2 the phone rebooted itself and then hanged on the apple logo trying to boot up. If im successful after holding volume up and power buttons for 5 to 10mins I feel the phone vibrate and goes into a grey screen with enter passcode then the white HELLO (Activation process) which doesnt work with wifi or mobile data. So the process isn't communicating with apple servers.. to complete the setup and return back to springboard.

I have assistive touch enabled and when I press the multi switcher tab.. I see all my opened apps and springboard for a second then it forces me back to the screen for entering a wifi password etc... which keeps coming back as incorrect. So I cant even do an iCloud Erase.

I have Blobs saved... I wanted to see if this software can be any use to me if I restore the same iOS with saved blobs that is unsigned. OR update to 10.3.3 and then downgrade with this software to 10.2 with the blobs?

Or am I completely screwed here and have no option but to update the iOS firmware to a signed version...

Any 1 with any ideas that can help id appreciate it.

Thanks.
