About This File

Hi guys finally I got the working kext for the Realtek ALC663.I tested it on mountain 10.8.2...It works so great it sounds a lot better than in windows.lol.....After u install it PLZ reboot....just go into the sound settings and set it to green/headphone in the output tab.Even the mic does not give problems like before.Remember to delete the AppleHDA kext before u install this voodoohda kext...or esle it would not function at all....Please try it and spread the word.....

You can find the best kext utility here http://www.osx86.net/view/2514-latest_kext_utility_10.8_edition.html

well the only way to know is to try pal.And once u have determine that your Realtek soundcard is the ALC663..Well yes it should work..Go into windows OS and determine which model soundcard u got.u can use Driver Genius for this also.

I misspoke due to my english writing ;-) ! I mean using your kext the sound works very nice but with some KPs occasionally. Yes I delete appleHDA before...

Well, I will continue to use your Kext despite these few KPs because this kext gives me a better sound.

Otherwise, the most important for me is how to automatically adjust the settings in System Preferences (especially for mic) to not have to adjust them on every reboot.

Great thanks for your time in advance,

Lord

Have u tried booting with nothing plugged into the USB ports or nothing connected at all? I have experienced KP and most times it was because I had a device of some sort plugged in...Remember mac osx is not forgiving like windows..So u have to be dead on.lol..But if u soon figure out the problem..Please let us know..thanks.

To be honest with you..I do have problems booting but I don't get kernel panics..I just get the grey apple logo screen stuck...Since I have installed that audio kexts I do get problems to boot.I usually have to use -x to go into safe mode then restart like normal and usually it boots without any problems.Mac OSX is extremely sensitive.I cannot understand how from a cold startup I have problems..But on restarts no problems at all..It's like it has to warm up..But I really needed sound so that is why I am kinda enduring a little pain. But what I would do is remove that audio kext and just buy a compatible external soundcard that is compatible with mac Osx Lion.

hey azerty..I notice that once I boot with -f It boots in real fast and nice..You will not need to do it between restarts...But once I take out my mac osx dedicated HD and i slap it back in I would have to use -f to go into mountain lion without issues..Think I would sacrifice that just for the sound..lol..Try it and see if u will still get kp and hangs..
