how to rebuild the kernel cache

what I did was use disk utility to repair disk permissions and then used kext utility to install a kext, then rebooted and it booted fine with the kernel cache.

click on read edid and on raw data you will get something like that

0x00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 30 E4 B6 02 00 00 00 00

0x10 00 14 01 03 80 20 12 78 0A 1F 65 9E 5F 58 9C 27

0x40 24 00 41 B5 10 00 00 19 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

0x70 00 4C 50 31 34 35 57 48 31 2D 54 4C 42 31 00 62

remove all addresses 0x10 and 0x20 and 0x30 and it shuld look like that

Hi Max ,

I did everything you said. And the kernel worked for a little while. It seems to kernel panic crash at boot. I can get it running sometimes. But, not all the time. I'm running chimera 1.11 and mountain lion 10.8.2. On my hp pavilion dv7 6b55dx.

I switched to the original kernel with cpus=1 and it's working. I miss my other cpus running though. :P
