I tried to enable power nap with that key in fakesmc info plist but it doesn't do anything. Are there any other steps to take or is it because I'm using a 2011 MacBook Pro smbios?

Thank you

you must use a newer smbios 2012+.

Or try this with your MacBook Pro 2011 smbios,

you must add this to System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Resources/MacBook X,X.plist

on the ConfigArray

<key>ConfigArray</key> <array> <dict> <key>DarkWakeServices</key> <dict> <key>DarkWakeBackgroundTasks</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>SleepServices</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>SleepServicesModes</key> <dict> <key>ModeA</key> <dict> <key>BaseIntervals</key> <dict> <key>AC</key> <dict> <key>BaseSleepInterval</key> <integer>3600</integer> <key>BaseWakeCapInterval</key> <integer>86400</integer> </dict> <key>Battery</key> <dict> <key>BaseSleepInterval</key> <integer>3600</integer> <key>BaseWakeCapInterval</key> <integer>180</integer> </dict> </dict> <key>BatteryFloor</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Expiration</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> </dict> </dict> <key>DeepSleep</key> <false/>

Good luck

I got a kernel panic from that, however i noticed that it has been waking up every two hours to check for email and etc. then it goes back to sleep so i think it does work but the option just doesn't show up under energy pref. pane. Thanks for the kext though.

Is a Rollback or version 2.0?

?

Dsdt edit have same effect with use of vanilla kext?

Hey crunk, where was that fakesmc key you posted before for power nap? I would like to see it again.

THanks
