Recommended Posts

Upgraded to OS X Yosemite today.

?

I found a way to make the R9 270 (non x) work.

?

Execute this command:

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x00\x04\x00\x00\x04\x03\x00\x00\x00\x01\x01\x01\x12\x04\x04\x01\x00\x04\x00\x00\x04\x03\x00\x00\x00\x01\x02\x01\x22\x05\x05\x02\x04\x00\x00\x00\x14\x02\x00\x00\x00\x01\x03\x00\x00\x00\x06\x06\x00\x08\x00\x00\x04\x02\x00\x00\x00\x01\x04\x00\x11\x02\x01\x03|\x04\x00\x00\x00\x14\x02\x00\x00\x00\x01\x00\x00\x11\x02\x05\x05\x00\x08\x00\x00\x04\x02\x00\x00\x00\x01\x00\x00\x22\x05\x02\x03\x00\x04\x00\x00\x04\x03\x00\x00\x00\x01\x00\x00\x12\x04\x01\x01\x00\x02\x00\x00\x04\x02\x00\x00\x00\x01\x00\x00\x10\x00\x03\x06|g' /System/Library/Extensions/AMD7000Controller.kext/Contents/MacOS/AMD7000Controller

Go to S/L/E/ and edit the info.plist of AMD7000Controller.kext and AMDRadeon4000X.kext. Replace in both info.plist files "0x68101002" with "0x68111002" and repair permissions and update kext caches. Done.

?

Edit: Additionally you have to set the ATI framebuffer to Futomaki in your bootloader of choice.

Oh, you need a bin patch to get yours [fully] working too? ?Which port were you trying to use?

?

My 270X, as far as I've tested, only works when using the DVI-I port (aka DVI to VGA) with GraphicsEnabler=No, so?technically it's OOB. ?To use DVI-D, I also have to use a bin patch, which I inject via Clover.
