How to activate your HD5450 in OSX 10.8.3

Copy /System/Library/Extensions/ATI5000Controller.kext to your Desktop.
ATI5000Controller.kext > Show Package Contents > Info.plist
find <key>IOPCIMatch</key>
and add
<string>0x68F91002 0x68981002 0x68991002 0x68E01002 0x68E11002 0x68D81002 0x68C01002 0x68C11002 0x68D91002 0x68B81002 0x68B01002 0x68B11002 0x68A01002 0x68A11002 </string>

Copy /System/Library/Extensions/AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext to your Desktop
The 5450 codename is Cedar: Radeon HD 5000 Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext > Show Package Contents > Info.plist
find <key>AMDCedarGraphicsAccelerator</key>
and then look for the first <key>IOPCIMatch</key>
add
<string>0x68F91002 0x68E01002</string>

Save exit and install with Kext Wizard?in /System/Library/Extensions.
And select Backup kexts just to be save.

In terminal type:
 

kextstat | grep AMD

These kexts must load:

My Sapphire 5450 got a different ID.. I did the same updates to the info.plist files... Repaired permissions but still nothing.. Do I have to install the kext's u provided anyway?

That will not help. What is your Device ID?

What are you getting from terminal with:

kextstat | grep AMD
Did you put it in the right place because there are more than one <key>IOPCIMatch</key> in AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext

find <key>AMDCedarGraphicsAccelerator</key>

and then look for the first <key>IOPCIMatch</key>

add

<string>0x68F91002 0x68E01002</string>

Everything is working fine now.. After adding my gpu ID to the ATI5000controller and AMDradeonaccelerator, I fixed my permission and rebooted.. At first was almost working, cause I had some random freezing.. I fixed my permissions, rebooted again and everything is working fine..
