Please note that these tools have, in many cases, been referred to in OSX installation guides here on the forum or elsewhere. Using the tools, without knowledge of how they are used when installing or editing OSX, could result in an inoperable system.

BootCD Maker - Create your own boot CD for Leopard and SL (web site in french, just download file and instructions are in english). Uses dsdt and CAN be used to boot BOTH the Install DVD as well as an alternate to booting from stick or EFI, or hard drive. No issues with CMOS getting reset with properly patch dsdt.aml:

I believe a UUID generator can be used for software development. It is also part of this forum's 'Chameleon EFI - Flic's Method,' which states how to install Chameleon on a USB stick.
