  11. I have a small question. is my current EFI suitable for High Sierra as Sierra i am using? I'm new to hackintosh EFI 2.zip
  12. Again, don't bother... https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/338928-prohibited-sign-on-mojave-10145-dell-latitude-e5420/?tab=comments#comment-2675052 NB: MBP8,x are not compatible with Mojave; hence the denied Mojave download... You need a Mojave-compatible SMBIOS to download and run Mojave. Ideally, a Mojave compatible platform too and your E5420 is not. Best is to stick to Sierra or High Sierra 10.13.6.
  13. I'm using Sierra with SMBios config Macbook Pro 8,2. I can't download MacOS Mojave
  14. Sorry to hear that. It probably means that you'll need to patch your dsdt in order to get going your trackpad. For further assistance please read this document carefully : https://voodooi2c.github.io/#Installation/Installation I rarely use USB wifi sticks, because I find PCI cards more reliable. I guess any of these will do just fine.
  15. Hi there and welcome! If you get stuck there it probably means you didn't make your USB installer properly. You should make your installer using App Store version of Mojave.
  16. I'm try to install Olarila Hackintosh Mojave 10.14.5 on my old Dell latitude e5420, here is the spec: - CPU Core i5 2520M 2,5GHz 2 Cores - 4 Threads - GPU Intel HD 3000 - Storage : HDD Toshiba 320G SATA II - RAM : Dual Channel 4GB DDR3 1333MHz - 4 x USB 2.0, eSATA, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), HDMI, LAN (RJ45), VGA (D-Sub) - I'm using config 2.plist, insert USBInjectAll and FakePCIID into /EFI/CLOVER/KEXT/OTHERS, but when i boot without -v flag, It boot to half opf loading bar with apple logo then it shown the prohibited sign: And when i use -v flag, it stucked here: I'm using an 2.0 USB and i have tested All 4 USB Port on the laptop but it didn't work Here is my EFI. Sorry for the bad english and thank in advance EFI.zip

  18. Alright, I'll try to stay away just yet.. But your suggested kext set didn't work. I'm also going to purchase an USB wifi, coz I don't want this laptop to be permanently transformed. But for now I'd like some internet connection. And swapping network adapters is.. Well.. Just opening the back lid is quiet destructive process. Would you recommend me getting any special one or will one of these: "NETIS WF2120 or D-Link DWA-121 or TP-LINK TL-WN725N" work good enough?
  19. I wouldn't recommend messing with dsdt/ssdt...yet. For starters try this: https://github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C/releases
  20. Ok, so after a bunch of reading I did something in clover and it "extracted?" a lot of files. I moved them to another folder and used "iasl -dl DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml" command and it made a lot of other files. I suppose that is a start for patching but I got lost in the rest of the guide. I downloaded MaciASL and there my journey found it's end.. I have no idea how to continue, nor which kext is best for my touchpad. I'd welcome any suggestions. Thanks!
  21. Oh great, quick response and just what I needed. Actually I did try this one and it didn't work. I also tried variety of others.. but from what I see now, I did mess up last time and now when you directed me it did it! The keyboard works like charm now. My mistake was clearly over copying too many kexts of same type that made it not work. (I didn't know which one I should have used) If I could ask for more assistance involving which touchpad kext might work best for me I would be glad. Some I found were not even .kext files .. just a bunch of .c, .cpp and .h files (I don't know how to compile them properly). Or even .txt files with a bunch of code I don't understand. I'm kinda capable of finding forum threads which are about my problem, but mostly answers are links to complicated guides that are way too general or I run into that files problem. EDIT: I discovered that I'm stupid and I downloaded his sourcecodes and not his kexts .. they were where I overlooked them. Gonna try few and will report what's new Alright, from what I discovered, for now, is, that I have learned how to install kexts properly. But now I realized that I don't know how to install/do "DSDT" and/or SSDT. But I successfully installed battery indicator. The percentage doesn't work ..yet. I think I will keep investigating by myself.
  22. Hey there @Onyxacek and welcome! Firstly, congrats for meaningful post! Well done! Did you try to use VoodooPS2Controller.kest? If you didn't, please try it: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-voodoo-ps2-controller/downloads/
  23. Hello guys, So I'm trying to make a working Hackintosh laptop. I managed to somehow make it work to the point where it always boots up into MacOS Mojave. My problem is, that neither my keyboard or touchpad works.. I tried already about 10 guides and none suits me, because I always get an error in the process and can't keep up with the guide. I don't know which information you need me to provide, so please ask me and I'll happily answer. I only have a half idea of what I'm doing. Some I can give right away is that I'm using Clover bootloader. My Wifi will never work.. I want to make my touchpad and keyboard working, which on touchpad side might be difficult and keyboard I managed to somehow get working, and it stopped again.. I think there might be incompatible kext that is disabling it. Thanks in advance, looking forward to finally meet a nice community.
