  1. How can I install this to a USB stick. Installer only shows my internal drive.
  2. How can I install this to a USB stick. Installer only shows my internal drive.
  3. Is it possible with a Gigabyte MB to save my current working BIOS so I can just try out Cartri without getting stuck with it.
  4. Pretty sad state of affairs over there. Can you imagine a company so desperate to hide the truth about their scam from new or potential suckers, I mean customers, that they actually have to proactively ban anyone from this forum who may speak the truth over there.
  5. What will go wrong if I just drag your boot, boot0 and boot1h files to there respective folders. This is what I have been doing and everything is working great. Along with my edited DSDT, I have system profiler reporting everything right, manual sleep, good audio, restart, proper icons etc. Please check my usb contents. Thanks
  6. Return it if at all possible. Build a chameleon based usb stick and save yourself the hassle of EFI-X failing to boot, right when you most need it to. Run don't walk away from that EFI-X scam!
  7. I like the fact that you are able to clean up the sloppy code. Replaced boot, boot1 and boot1h with yours and I started in verbose and everything looked normal. But...My restart stopped working. I have been using this version of chameleon: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=192518&st=1100&p=1369210entry1369210 and I have (RestartFix = Yes) in my com.apple.Boot.plist Not sure what I need to do to make restart work with yours. thanks
  8. This one from BlackOSX and Thiagomorales lets me use themes again. But I don't know how to implement the UUID fix. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=192518&st=1100&p=1369210entry1369210
  9. Asere, Your boot file works and I am hoping that the UUID I get now is really from my MB. Why does it not load the theme I have selected in my com.apple.Boot.plist? No offense but after the EFI-X nightmare I don't really want to see a picture of one every time I boot.
  10. I don't use SleepEnabler, but what are the steps I need to take to get rid of NullCPUPowermanagement.kext. I have a patched DSDT that has most but not all the edits in the useful DSDT edits thread.
  11. You are obviously new to the EFI-X. Come back after your unit dies  (they all do eventually) and you are stuck at "Verifying DMI Pool Data" and thats all your EFI-X will do. The nice people here will help you build a Chameleon based stick that's works and is always up to date with the latest the Hackintosh community has to offer. Then you'll know why we are here. Case in point: People on this forum are already running SL 10.6.2 the day it was released. How many months will it be before EFI-X even tries (and fails) to support the new update.
  12. Wow, those poor suckers still banging there heads against the wall with EFI-X! http://forum.efi-x.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6504 They have more problems than we could ever imagine with Chameleon, and they can't do anything about it.
  13. I wonder if 10.6.2 affects anything we are doing with our HCL. Has anyone tried the 10.6.2 dev. release?
  14. Because I am in the Post Production business I have bought many Apple Mac's over the years. I any currently using the top of the line Mac Pro with a Decklink video card to online HD television at work. But, in my home office, it's more fun to hackintosh! My interest here is more of a hobby so to speak. I really like building my own computer and then being able to run OSX on it even though I don't have to. I think we all like the challenge. Mike, I bet that's why you're here, and just because you buy an Apple Mac doesn't mean you have to get out of the hack game.
