    SL 10.6.2 is OUT!!!

I got the same problem as you. How did you do the delete the SleepEnabler.kext? I tried to boot to single user mode, but it hangs there too. I figured it out, I started with the Chameleon bootcd, changed to SL instal-CD. Started the install-CD and from there I could start the terminal and delete the SleepEnabler.kext. It would have been easier to go to this forum and check for any update problems before I updated. :-) /Peter
  3. I followed this one and it was possible to update without any problems. /Peter
  4. Thanks a lot, I totally missed those entries even though I looked in the SMBIOS.plist So there's no way for SL to automatically change those entries now? I guess they are connected with the model identifier. So now there's only the sleep problem, but that didn't work with Efi-X either. But it would be nice to have it working. /Peter
  5. Most of the things seems to work now. I only have some minor issues. One is that it doesn't detect the correct CPU frequency in the system profiler and the other one is a problem when I put it to sleep, it's working the first time I do it, but not the second time. The second time it will restart and sometimes it's going into cyclic restarts. I have seen some posts with the sleep problem, but I don't think that I actually have seen any solution to it. Otherwise it's running as it should, well, as far as I know. /Peter
  6. Thanks for that information, now I got rid of that annoying popping sound. /Peter
  7. How can I change the model to a MacPro? /Peter
  8. I got it working now, someyhing must have been wrong with my DVD's even though they were Verbatims, they were the last ones used from an 50 bulk. So even though I burnt the dmg in different computers it didn't work, so it was maximal bad luck, 3 bad DVD's in a row. Yesterday I got a new pack of DL DVD's from Verbatim, and when I burnt the same dmg file as before and tried it again after the boot CD it was showing up in the list. So this means that even if you are using top quality DVD's they can be bad, but this is the first time for me with faulty Verbatim DVD's. I started the installation yesterday night, but then it was time for bed. When I checked it in the morning today the computer was stuck at the computers boot screen, but that should be normal. I didn't have the time in the morning to start with the boot CD again to see if the installation went ok. So now I'm just waiting for the working day to end so I can go home and continue the installation. I'll let you know how it's going.
  9. If you go to the beginnig of this thread it says "A PATCHED DSDT IS MANDATORY" It's a bit fun when you start with "Everything works fine" and then the "except these" /Peter
  10. I have tried the same settings as I had when I installed OSX with Efi-X. I have also tried with AHCI enabled/disabled and legacy mode enabled/disabled. All of this with no luck. /Peter
  11. Yes I did, many times, but it never shows up. When I press the down arrow I also tried the verbose mode with the same result.
  12. Every time when I try to boot the SL DVD from the boot CD I get "Can't find mach_kernel" The DVD is working perfect in OSX. The machine I'm trying to install to is my Efi-X machine, all the HW are in the HCL. I have tried many different DVD's burnt in different machines, always at slowest speed, they all works when I try them under OSX, but when I boot on the boot-CD and then insert the SL DVD it's not showing up. Any suggestions, I haven't seen anyone else here with that problem. /Peter
