  1. I was very busy man! Nice to talk to you again noname! I tried Steermouse.. but Im not so satisfied.. again.. the movement is not normal... Am I hypochondriacal ?... uuuh... yeah?.. I guess..
  2. This is an old thread I know. But still I have this horrible "heavy movement" mouse problem... I also upgraded my Hackintosh with core i7 2600k and 32GB of RAM and this problem spoils all the fun!! Can you please help me? Thanks!!!
  3. Hey! Try this : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34518464/DSDT.aml.zip and if it doesnt work, try this : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34518464/Working%20DSDT%20for%20Maximus%20Formula.rar Let me know!
  4. Nevermind. I guess I'm gonna sell this motherboard and buy a (used) Gigabyte. Which Gigabyte (P45 Chipset) you recommend?
  5. Does Patched_10.7_AppleRTC.kext makes a difference? I saw that I have it in the Extra Folder. What's best? To remove it or to let it there?
  6. Hi noname! I am desperate man. Remember back then when I was so happy about Lion installation on this board? (Maximus Formula). Happy Days. Well, I upgraded my PC to a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P with a Core i7 2600K and 32GB of memory. (We will talk about it in the near future! hehehe ) So, the "old" system (Maximus Formula X38 + Intel Core2Quad Q9550 + 8GB 1066MHz DDR2) will be my "PLEX HTPC". I already purchased an Apple Remote and a Macbook IR module and I am ready for "Remote Control Party" (btw, Apple Remote IS WORKING SUCCESFULLY Woohoo!) BUT... I think that Maximus Formula understood that it will be the "second PC on the house" and got a little bit crazy. I am in 10.6.3 SL and everything is working .. But Sleep.. no... Question : Sleepenabler.kext is the same for every motherboard? Cause I downloaded it and installed with Kext Helper. But nothing. My Hackintosh still rolling its fans when I put it to sleep. No "deep sleep" for me. PS : Thank you noname for everything. Seriously. PS2 : I chose Snow Leopard cause I have a WUSB600N that works better with SL. I have problems in Lion. I definitely need the Wireless adapter. (Youtube from the couch)
  7. Hello guys! I installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 successfully on my Maximus Formula X38 Chipset motherboard. The system : Motherboard : Asus Maximus Formula X38 Chipset Bios : 1403 Memory : 8GB Gskill 1066MHz DDR2 Processor : Q9550 Intel Core 2 Quad at 2.8GHz DVD-ROM : Sony SATA System Drive : Intel SSD 40GB Data Drives : 2x2TB WD HDDs Graphics Card : NVIDIA GT220 512MB (works with Graphics Enabler=Yes, HDMI Audio is not working. I would really love to see it working)... Keyboard/Mouse Combo : Logitech LX710 Sound : AD1988B (Got it working from VoodooHDA for AD1988B. Found it in "Downloads" Section of this site) Remote : New Apple Remote OS : Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 This Hackintosh is going to be my Home Theater system with Plex installed and a 2.1 sound system. The problem : My Hackintosh cannot SLEEP and of course cannot WAKE (when trying to sleep, display turns off but fans are working eternally). Restart and Shutdown works great. I am not using any DSDT file (perhaps I need one?) and I dont know what to do. I really need SLEEP and WAKE functions cause I want my system to be able to turn on really fast, giving the feeling that it's a generic "Media Player". Everything else work ok except a USB External Hard Disk (WD320GB My Passport) which cannot work 100%. 4 on 5 tries go wrong. Mac OS X "unplugs" the disk while I copy some files. So I would love to solve that one too. My main problem is SLEEP. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance. PS : I attached my DSDT.aml (extracted it with a terminal command) if you wanna play with it. (I dont know DSDT editing.) dsdt.aml.zip
  8. Hi guys! I installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to my Hackintosh succesfully. Here is the system : Motherboard : Asus Maximus Formula X38 Chipset Bios : 1403 Memory : 8GB Gskill 1066MHz DDR2 Processor : Q9550 Intel Core 2 Quad at 2.8GHz DVD-ROM : Sony SATA System Drive : Intel SSD 40GB Data Drives : 2x2TB WD HDDs Keyboard/Mouse Combo : Logitech LX710 Remote : New Apple Remote OS : Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 The only problem I have is with SLEEP function. When I put my Hackintosh to sleep, the system turns off except the fans (CPU, System Fans, PSU Fan). When I try to wake it, the system is not responding. My DSDT.aml is attached. Can somebody please help me patch it? I built this Hackintosh for Home Theater purposes with Plex. Apple Remote works like a dream with a Macbook Air IR module via USB. dsdt.aml.zip
  9. Nevermind. Solved it. A good friend on Insanelymac did the trick. He created a DSDT file and voila.... sleep and wake function... done.
  10. Hi all! I recently "hackintoshed" my system and everything seem to work great. (I even bought an Apple IR module and soldered it to a USB cable, and now my Apple Remote works as a dream). Read the system info below : Motherboard : Asus Maximus Formula X38 Chipset Bios : 1403 Memory : 8GB Gskill 1066MHz DDR2 Processor : Q9550 Intel Core 2 Quad at 2.8GHz DVD-ROM : Sony SATA System Drive : Intel SSD 40GB Data Drives : 2x2TB WD HDDs Keyboard/Mouse Combo : Logitech LX710 Remote : New Apple Remote OS : Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 This Hackintosh works as a HTPC with Plex installed on it. My system restarts and shuts down wonderful, but there is a problem with SLEEP. When I "send it to sleep" via the Menu, everything turns off except the coolers. Seems that it cannot get into "deep sleep". Also If I try to "wake it" it doesnt want to. It stays there, doing nothing. I must press Power button or Reset to come back to reality. Please can you help me solve this problem? I want to be able to wake my Hackintosh with the Apple Remote. It will be perfect If I can do that. Thanks a lot guys!
  11. Glad to know you figured it out!
  12. Can you please try with this ? VoodooHDA AD1988B 7.1 - Downloads - OSx86.net I think I have managed to make it work with this kext. (VoodooHDA for 7.1) It's been a long time since then. But I'm 99% sure that I used this kext to make it work. (Clean all the other kexts you used for the sound)
  13. Try this : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34518464/AppleHDA.kext-10.6.AD1988B.zip
