  1. Good deal ! Bring it on :))
  2. Thanks for responding Yep, it's on by default on all my builds.
  3. I keep getting a "kext installed improperly contact vendor" for DummyHDA.kext and it's not just a permission thing making this solution unusable. Anybody else getting this ? I'm on 10.10.5.
  4. Does not work for me on Sony Vaio VGN-NR180E w/ALC262 running 10.7.5 / 32 bit.I get ...Aug 16 18:01:03 haxmax84 kernel[0]: Sound assertion "0 == result" failed in AppleHDAFunctionGroupFactory at line 112 goto handlerAug 16 18:01:03 haxmax84 kernel[0]: Sound assertion "0 == fAudioFunctionGroup" failed in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 332 goto ExitErrorAug 16 18:01:03 haxmax84 kernel[0]: Sound assertion "0 == result" failed in AppleHDAFunctionGroupFactory at line 112 goto handlerAug 16 18:01:03 haxmax84 kernel[0]: Sound assertion "0 == fAudioFunctionGroup" failed in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 332 goto ExitError
  5. Perfect for ...Acer Aspire One ZG5 a.k.a. A150.Internal speakers work with perfect autosensing & autoswitching to headphones AND the internal mic also works with perfect autosensing & autoswitching to external microphone.In other words all working with absolute perfection on this little Acer netbook running 10.6.8 in 32 bit mode.Very, very nice indeed )
  6. Thanks a bunch. I did download that and I may try to apply some values from it though I do suspect that your 4328 is a bit too advanced for my lowly 4311 to hide behind. Plus, I'm really starting to believe that the ROM on this Dell 1390 flavor of the 4311 is simply not near compatible enough to overcome with either DSDT mods or rebranding. Ironically, your allusion to that desktop mod made me remember that I have a couple of similar setups buried in my parts pile. Specifically, I purchased a couple of those mini PCIe to PCIe adapters and a couple of Atheros AR5B91-X laptop WiFi cards several months ago to have on hand for desktop conversions ... totally forgot about them ! I canabalized one for the Atheros, installed it and BAM !! I now have Wifi a/b/g/n recognized as AirPort Extreme OOB with the stock 10.8.4 kext. Much better I'll just use this old BCM4311 in my next Lion notebook. I've got a Toshiba Core 2 Duo with the Intel X3100 that will never do ML, so no biggie. Thanks for slapping me awake and have a great weekend, my friend Having said all of this, I am still curious if these NON-APPLE BCM4311, BCM4312 or any other Broadcom a/b/g WiFi cards can run under 10.8.4+ like they (barely) do under 10.8.3-. So if anybody know, please tell )
  7. Oh sorry, I don't assume that the sig necessarily represents THE system pertaining to topic of discussion. I've been through many systems and am way too lazy to update my sig everytime. Guess, that I simply assume a like behavior from others Anyway. Ah, you have a genuine mini PCIe card. Yep, you can use the stock IO80211 kext. I have a third party mini PCIe WiFi card, for which, I haven't been able to use a stock kext since 10.6.5 or so. Still, I'd like to see that ioreg.kext so that I can attempt to spoof it. Probably it will fail but what the hey, worth a shot. Thanks in advance !
  8. Hey, thanks for the prompt response. Makes sense, so far. Could I trouble you for a bit more detail ? Such as ... What IO80211Family.kext are you using ? Is it the stock Apple version ? If not, could you provide a link ? Could you also attach an ioreg.txt ? ioreg -lw0 > ioreg.txt Maybe -> lspci -nn > Devices.txt too (only if you have lspci installed) This is definitely on the latest 10.8.4, correct ?
  9. Aloha all, Having an interesting new problem since updating to 10.8.4. I am now unable to connect to my WiFi router, always getting the pop-up ... Could not join "MyNetworkName". a connection timeout occurred. It fails instantly when selecting my SSID from the available networks pop-up. This is happening on 2 very different notebooks both running 10.8.4. Gateway NV57U: 2nd Gen Core i5, HD3000, etc. Dell Inspiron 1720: Core 2 Duo, NVidia 8600GT, etc. Both were accessing WiFi with customized IO80211Familly.kexts from the first Lion right up through 10.8.3 with absolutely no issues, ever. The Gateway is using a 3.2 version and the Dell a 4.1.2 version of the IO80211Family.kext. The Gateway has a half mini BCM4312 and the Dell has a full mini BCM4311. Could this is be caused by new Apple code to support the upcoming Broadcom 1 gigabit WiFi adapters abandoning compatibility with old b/g cards ? Could this spell the end of BCM43xx compatibility in Mountain Lion ? Anybody else out there seeing this ? Anybody got a BCM43xx still working under 10.8.4 ? Thanks in advance

    Atheros Fix Kext

    No help with my AR5007EG - pci106b,1c on Asus Eee 1005HA running 10.6.8.Continuous errors in log ...ath_dev_attach[3xxx]: unable to attach hardware; HAL status 13ath_attach[3xxx : ath_dev_attach Failed-----These errors generated by AirPortDriverAtheros.Switched to Broadcom BCM4312.Thanks anyway.
  11. I'll do it for this poster. The development is by ELmyDinEsh over at OSXLatitude who has specifically requested that his kext packs NOT be mirrored anywhere else.Here is where to go for this version and all others:http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1948-elan-touchpad-driver-mac-osx/Enjoy and thanks to ELmyDinEsh.
  12. Works on Dell Inspiron 1720 but tracking is way too sensitive even when adjusting the PrfPane to minimums. TouchPad is inoperable with these kexts on Inspiron 3520.Both running Mountain Lion 10.8.3.Thanks !
  13. Working on Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G running 64bit Lion 10.7.5. Rear speakers out (green) and Mic-in (pink) work fine. Front jacks do not, so no headphone switching or front audio-in.I opted to do the DSDT mod and eliminate HDAEnabler and this is working out well.Nice work
  14. OK, Perfect sensing and switching between mic-in jack and internal microphone but only external audio output jack works, no internal speakers so that's a deal killer.I'm running 10.7.5 32bit on Toshiba Satellite L305-S5882.
  15. Pretty good !Internal speakers work with perfect autosensing & autoswitching to headphones and the mic-in jack works but no internal microphone, so I give it an 8 out of 10.I am running 10.7.5 32bit on Toshiba Satellite L305-S5882.So far, this is the best that I have found
