  1. What to do for LayoutID=3 (laptop ALC892) ???
  2. :-) :-) ? Tried this last night. This WILL NOT WORK without the DSDT FIX!!! ? Installed on Acer Aspire 4752 -- which is ALC271x, working perfectly @ 96k. I now have MICROPHONE INPUT!!!!!! ?:-) :-) ? Only thing missing is HDMI audio, and I am trying Toleda's method tonight to get that working
  3. Hi mm67.I have my system working 99.9%, but I have the USB removal message on the front-panel USB ports (hub?) which are plugged into the USB2.0 header on the motherboard. I have fixed the EHC2 (EHC1?) instant wake problem, but not being able to wake from keyboard/mouse really bothers me.I am using a heavily patched DSDT for my MSI MS7681 -> P67A-GD55[b3] motherboard. i can't seem to get ALC892 injection via DSDT working, but all my other patches and DSDT/SSDT seem to be working nicely. The instant wake problem still occurs with USBBusFix=Yes, and SleepEnabler (no panic) and disabled legacy support in BIOS. I am using a PMPatch patched UEFI BIOS (latest release, backed up, patched, and flashed).Any/all help greatly helpful. I can send you my DSDT.aml if it helps quicken the process! Many thanks. -> themacmeister
  4. I would fix your Win8 boot files, then unplug all hard drives/optical drives/hardware except what you absolutely need for the install (I assume you are using a separate hard drive for OSX). So, only connect blank OSX drive, DVD drive, mouse, keyboard. That is all you need. Set SATA mode to AHCI in BIOS. Set the boot device to be DVD in BIOS, reboot... try the kernel flags: arch=i386 cpus=1 maxmem=2048 GraphicsEnabler=No "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32@60" -v If that doesn't work, you may need more info or a different U-EFI BIOS?! Other users have the identical Mobo/CPU working with Mountain Lion, so it should not be a real issue. You could also try a Lion install to Mountain Lion, instead of skipping an entire version.
  5. My N5110 i7 arrives in 8 days. Really looking forward to OSXing it!PS. With recovery partition etc. is it possible to dual-boot Windows 7 off one HDD? Any guides you would recommend for this?
  6. Hi Drogenbaron72,

Just FYI, there are now working Linux drivers for Centrino Wireless-n 1000 & 1030 !!!

Also available are non-free firmwares for these. Module autoloads correct firmware on first load !!!

Check my post on {censored} here -> {censored} Forum ? Information

A driver cannot be far off. Cheers!
