I had actually upgraded from my X555LB-NS51 a year prior to the writing of this post, but due to unfamiliar complexities (Intel Skylake, NVIDIA Pascal, I2C trackpad, no iGPU, keyboard backlight, NGFF Wi-Fi) as well as time constraints (work + school), I put off writing anything until I had ironed out the aforementioned.

This post assumes prior knowledge in the topics covered.  For readers without such knowledge, refer to the X555LB-NS51 linked above and/or seek further information via independent research.

    I.  Installation
After Step 1 the keyboard should function.  The trackpad, however, will not function without the steps in Post Installation, so be sure to have a USB mouse handy.
Create the installer as usual. Boot with nv_disable=1, and make sure to not drop the NVIDIA GPU's OEM _DSM in Clover.

    Final Impressions
The Wi-Fi card in this laptop was much easier to replace.  A simple unscrew of the back panel gives one access to all the important peripherals, unlike the X555LB-NS51, which needed to be fully disassembled to reach the back of the motherboard to replace the Wi-Fi card. The ALC255 audio was less fussy.  The ALC233 variant in the X555LB-NS51 needed a non-standard patch to get the microphone working. The trackpad and display brightness control were the two hardest obstacles to overcome. Prior to owning this laptop, I had never heard of the I2C interface nor it's connected peripherals.  Preliminary support for I2C trackpads, namely the ELAN1200, was shaky, and required a special patch to be manually baked in to get it working. All previously established display brightness control implementations were designed for Intel iGPUs, but this laptop's iGPU is disabled.  It wouldn't be until I stumbled upon onejay09's thread @ InsanelyMac that I would be able to control the display brightness.  Before then, it was stuck at full brightness, which hurt battery life.

Nope, there is no support whatsoever for all flavours of GMA4500; never was, never will be. Seems you got confused with GMA950/GMA X3100...

Bottom line is E6500 with Intel graphics is no good as a Hackintosh. Only the nVidia version (Quadro NVS 160M) is suitable.

hi you dont have to use dsdt for installation. just do it for post installation.
As for Acpi error goes it related to you clover dsdt patches so remove them all.For installation use fakesmc and ps2 kexts too much kext sometime cause problems.
flags should run -v to check where you got stuck.if have reboot issue then use nullcpu Kext or Pm patches.
id having graphics issue then run installer in safemode

hope you can start with this..

    Dual Boot with clover bootloader

Dual booting is kinda easy.if you installing in different hard drive then dont have to do much.Clover/other boot loader can detect auto all the OS drives. But for same HDD and Laptop, its bit tricky. Here i posted some useful configs, use then at will.
    Method 1:
This is much better option but its writes on you bios . Enter the BIOS, look for boot option and add  /EFI/Clover/Cloverx64.efi ,make it as top priority of the boot sequence.
    Method 2:
Use an USB to boot into OS X, do the settings below,
Use Clover Configurator to mount the EFI partition (Mount EFI> ) Rename bootmgfw.efi  in /EFI/Microsoft/Boot to bootmgfwA.efi Copy Cloverx64.efi  in /EFI/Clover to /EFI/Microsoft/Boot and rename it bootmgfw.efi Method 3: Recommended option
Open EFI and then navigate to /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/ and rename bootmgfw.efi  to   bootmgfwA.efi. Open Clover Configurator > Select your config > GUI Now fill the settings below
Under “Custom Entries” click on the “+” then  Double click on the “New custom entry”
Volume: Give a name (Windows) Path: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfwA.efi Title (tick it): and change “New Custom Entry” to Windows or anything u like Hidden: No Type: Windows Volume type: Internal

If you want to Hidden recovery partition then
    Click again on “+”:
Title(tick it): Recovery HD (OS X) Hidden: Yes Type: OSXRecovery If you have Linux then
    You rename /EFI/Linux distro/grubx64.efi to grubx64U.efi
    and add in Custom Entries:
Path: \EFI\linux distro\grubx64U.efi Title (tick it): Grub (your Linux distro’s name) Hidden: No Type: Linux Enjoy dual boot.

Hey @Dmos, thanks for covering for me.

@mrnewba, I no longer have this laptop so I will not be updating the guide further.
Dmos is right, the Other folder is better if you don't want to keep moving your kexts every OS revision. You should be using EMlyDinEsH's Smart Touchpad Driver, which I should've included in the post installation kexts. You should definitely be patching your DSDT.  If your laptop doesn't have an NVIDIA GPU then you can skip any steps in that stage past Step 3, and omit the patch in Patch DSDT > Step 4 starting with `into method label _REG parent_hid PNP0C09 insert`.

For TP u dont have to patch it .it should work. Most likely u r having issue with the kext .what TP you lapi is using, find that out then use proper kext.

Dmos reacted to fantomas in [How To] Create a bootable installer for macOS
Create a bootable installer for macOS
See the source article at support.apple.com

With macOS High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, or Mavericks, you can use a USB flash drive or other storage media as a startup disk from which to install the Mac operating system.
You don't need a bootable installer to reinstall macOS, but it can be useful when you want to install macOS on multiple computers. These are advanced steps, intended primarily for system administrators and others who are familiar with the command line.
Download the macOS installer from the App Store
Download the macOS installer from the Mac App Store. The installer downloads to your Applications folder as a single file with a name that begins ”Install”. For example: Install macOS High Sierra. If the installer opens automatically after downloading, quit the installer. Mount the USB flash drive, external hard drive, secondary internal partition, or other storage media that will contain the install media. Make sure that it has at least 12GB of available storage space. Continue to the next section. Use the 'createinstallmedia' command in Terminal
After downloading the installer, open the Terminal app, which is in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder. Use the createinstallmedia command in Terminal to create the bootable installer. This is the basic syntax of the command: Syntax for High Sierra:
createinstallmedia --volume volumepath Syntax for Sierra and earlier:
createinstallmedia --volume volumepath --applicationpath installerpath Replace volumepath with the path to your USB flash drive or other volume. Replace installerpath with the path to the installer.

The following examples assume that the installer is in your Applications folder, and the name of your USB flash drive or other volume is MyVolume:

    Example for High Sierra:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume
    Example for Sierra:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app
    Example for El Capitan:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app
    Example for Yosemite:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app
    Example for Mavericks:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app

For more information about the createinstallmedia command, make sure that the macOS installer is in your Applications folder, then enter the appropriate path in Terminal:

    hi,
    welcome to our forum
As you already familiar with osx and your budget is reasonable too,
But hackintosh is total a bit different from real macs. Most important things in a hack is ...
    1. CPU  (intel is always better because native support)
2.Mobo ( better to have closest  support )
    3.GPU  ( nvidia or amd )
Rest of the things can be managed.
Now as for GPU goes i always like to use nvidia.cause they have vender support (nvidia provides driver for osx).
Other hand apple natively supports there high ends macs for  amd cards. So both graphics would be fine.Newer gen AMD Gpus need onboard GPU (intel HD) support to run properly like real macs. But for nvidia you can use either.

LCD : apple has support for DVI ,DP and other ports, but audio on HDMI or DP might be a issue. Audio needs proper patches.if not that can be solved by USB audio(DAC) etc.

Core i7-7700K is supported in osx any intel has it. we just have to play with CPUPm only and its not that hard .
USB is supported but TB might be issue sometimes ,Intel chipset is way better.

    Hi there,
Its seems to me that your config.plist is pre made and it has lots for useless things on it.What ever with <#.../> you can remove.
As for dsdt goes try drop all the tables using clover F3 when boot.Because the dsdt you provided has some external links from SSDTs.
Most likely you need just basic patches like battery,Fn keys,USB,and some basic patches.
use MaciASL for the patches.if u cant will help you to do some.

it seems to me it was very fast after MB{censored} post-installation tasks, then i played around and made some mess because my internal audio was not working.

I had a working Chameleon with Mavericks installation before that and i notice that Clover is a lot harder to configure than Chameleon.
Also, i've followed osx86.net to perform the upgrade and i've to say it worked like a charme. Then, it became slow.. probably my fault somewhere in between.
