The beta should be available sometime in the summer.
From what I've heard there is some focus on cross platform development, with some existing iOS apps being ported over already, and iPad apps can be ported with a little work.
Also it seems it will now be possible to use your iPad as an external display.

Credit to @fantomas for being first off the mark here with the news.

That's why you have to read a lot before you start the installation. Otherwise, there is a good chance you will not understand what we will be talking about.

We are receiving an unexpectedly high volume of traffic at the moment, and this might be having a few side affects.

I see from our logs that a few people are having problems subscribing/unsubscribing from the newsletter.
Rest assured that those requests have been heard, and will be executed eventually, even if it means I have to do them one at a time from the logs (fml 😛)

Thank you for your patience in the meantime,

Okay, sooo... I read through that 2 times to make sure I understood most of it. That part when I am supposed to put in an URL is kinda problematic. I think the best thing to do RN is waiting till Monday and get that USB Wifi adapter, so I can leave the part where I move all stuff on my USB stick. I'm also having my "high-school graduation exam" on Monday, so I think I'll give this a pause for now. But please tell me what you would recommend me to do.

I think I'm supposed to patch my laptop first for the purpose of everything working smoothly. I'm not sure how am I supposed to do that. Also, I did extract those files from F4'ing in Clover without that assisting *.txt file they're talking about everywhere. I think I'll have to redo that part. Then I suppose it will be like fixing a programming code with different parts. (Or maybe is it just clicking on PATCH name and hitting APPLY ?). Please keep in touch, I'm thrilled to finally get someone to help me in a meaningful way. Thanks a lot for that.

NB: MBP8,x are not compatible with Mojave; hence the denied Mojave download... You need a Mojave-compatible SMBIOS to download and run Mojave. Ideally, a Mojave compatible platform too and your E5420 is not. Best is to stick to Sierra or High Sierra 10.13.6.

    Hi there and welcome!

If you get stuck there it probably means you didn't make your USB installer properly. You should make your installer using App Store version of Mojave.

Ok, so after a bunch of reading I did something in clover and it "extracted?" a lot of files. I moved them to another folder and used "iasl -dl DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml" command and it made a lot of other files. I suppose that is a start for patching but I got lost in the rest of the guide. I downloaded MaciASL and there my journey found it's end.. I have no idea how to continue, nor which kext is best for my touchpad. I'd welcome any suggestions.
    Thanks!

Oh great, quick response and just what I needed. Actually I did try this one and it didn't work. I also tried variety of others.. but from what I see now, I did mess up last time and now when you directed me it did it! The keyboard works like charm now. 😍 My mistake was clearly over copying too many kexts of same type that made it not work. (I didn't know which one I should have used)
If I could ask for more assistance involving which touchpad kext might work best for me I would be glad. Some I found were not even .kext files .. just a bunch of .c, .cpp and .h files (I don't know how to compile them properly). Or even .txt files with a bunch of code I don't understand.
I'm kinda capable of finding forum threads which are about my problem, but mostly answers are links to complicated guides that are way too general  or I run into that files problem.

EDIT: I discovered that I'm stupid and I downloaded his sourcecodes and not his kexts .. they were where I overlooked them. Gonna try few and will report what's new

Alright, from what I discovered, for now, is, that I have learned how to install kexts properly. But now I realized that I don't know how to install/do "DSDT" and/or SSDT. But I successfully installed battery indicator. The percentage doesn't work ..yet. I think I will keep investigating by myself.

    Hello guys,

So I'm trying to make a working Hackintosh laptop. I managed to somehow make it work to the point where it always boots up into MacOS Mojave. My problem is, that neither my keyboard or touchpad works.. I tried already about 10 guides and none suits me, because I always get an error in the process and can't keep up with the guide.
I don't know which information you need me to provide, so please ask me and I'll happily answer. I only have a half idea of what I'm doing.
Some I can give right away is that I'm using Clover bootloader. My Wifi will never work.. I want to make my touchpad and keyboard working, which on touchpad side might be difficult and keyboard I managed to somehow get working, and it stopped again.. I think there might be incompatible kext that is disabling it.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to finally meet a nice community.

For posterity: what did you use instead of FakeSMC?  VirtualSMC?

One or the other is required to even boot macOS; chances are, one of the two was already installed somewhere in the background.

You can verify which one you have by running `kextstat` as follows:
    kextstat | grep -v com.apple

    Hi there,

We need more information before we can effectively help you.
PC Specs Clover details How was it installed? UEFI Mode Legacy Mode boot0af boot0ss config.plist drivers64uefi Kexts If you're on a platform that does not support UEFI, I would personally recommend Enoch instead of Clover.  In my experience it has a lot higher of a success rate than Clover on legacy systems.

Highly unlikely, especially if it's set up with AMD's Switchable Graphics implementation.

If it's not chained to the iGPU and is standalone, there might be a chance via Lilu + WhateverGreen.  Otherwise, for the sake of battery life amongst other things, you'd be better off disabling it.

A minor backend issue was causing the Online Users display to stop displaying data from time to time over the last few days.
IPS produced a patch, which I applied this evening, so that should be fixed now.

    Hey SKCro,

Distros are considered as piracy so as such are not allowed on our site. But, keep in mind that today you don't need distros to install macOS, just find any working Mac or Hack machine and make vanilla installation usb flash and you are good to go!

Just upgraded to version 4.4.3 - so we are one again running the latest and greatest version.
It seems to have gone smoothly - did some quick tests in the areas most affected by the changes -  but if anyone finds a problem let me know.
