  1. Yes, I'm aware of the extremely out-of-date-ness of Snow Leopard, but That's as far as I've been able to get on my computer.? My question right now is, I keep getting a kernel panic when I try to enter full screen. This happens when I'm on sites like YouTube, as well as if I try to enter fullscreen with a video file on my HD. How can this be resolved? ? Few Hardware things that I know: Intel GMA950 Graphics Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 640 supporting HT Technology (3.2 Ghz) 3 GB DDR2 Ram OS: 10.6.7 (Can't get it to stay stable when I update to 10.6.8) ?
  2. I'm trying to install on an Inspiron N5030, but my installer freezes before it even gets going, I have a Pentium Dual-Core T4500 @ 2.3GHz CPU, with 3GB DDR3 ram, Mobile Intel? 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. Any help would be great
  3. According the info I found in my bios that I was able to match up with the Intel site you sent, My processor should be the T7250, instead of the T7300; However it still has a bus ratio of 10, and are almost identical proccessors. When I tried to boot with the flag busratio=10 -v and busratio=10 cpus=1 -v I actually get less out of the installation than when I just try to boot. with those flags I only get to the point where it wants me to choose a language then it freezes
  4. That sucks! Let me know what you try will you?
  5. Thanks for the info! I'll give that a shot when I get back home, and let you know if i make any progress as well.
  6. My Bios says this info about it: Processor Type: Intel Core 2 Duo processor Processor ID: 06FD Current Clock Speed: 2.00 GHz Processor Cache Size: 2048 kb
  7. Tried that. It just seems to freeze, I can't get the installer to not freeze. It's not the display. Like it was with Snow Leopard.
  8. Ive tried using myHack and I can get to the installation, but it freezes during. Any ideas?
  9. Ok, I'll give it a shot. Maybe I can get lucky this time around, since I was finally able to acquire an 8gb flash drive...Last time I was trying to just use a second partition on my HDD and it wouldn't work. I'll let you know how it goes.
  10. I'm currently running OS X 10.6.7. I'm trying to upgrade to Lion, however I keep running into problems. I've tried using the retail app, with xMove. I've also tried using iATKOS L2, nothing seems to go right. With xMove after I reboot my system and select the installation partition I get the following: http://youtu.be/XF_DvC-Cn2Q?hd=1 Any help would be greatly obliged!
  11. OK, I figured out what you meant. I haven't gotten to that point, I was trying to update Snow, and now I've got another problem, my system is stuck at the apple again, when I tried to reboot in verbose I get: jnl: unknown-dev: replay_journal: from: 6993920 to: 13999616 (joffset 0x4a8000) jnl: unknown-dev: examining extra transactions starting @ 13999616 / 0xd59e00 jnl: Extra txn replay stopped @ 14307328 / 0xda5000
  12. Ok, I don't really know if you'd know this, but I have a 1.5 TB hard drive, and therefore don't want to lose all the data on the drive. Is there a way to use this method without it formatting my drive?
  13. I installed Snow, if I boot it from the modCD it works... I deleted the AppleIntel files, and I was able to boot my system after that. Thank you kyndder. OK, so that now brings me back to the question of, can I use the same modCD to install Lion? If not, How do I upgrade to Lion?
  14. Ok, new problem, I can hear sound so I know the system is running, but my screen is black. where do I need to go from here?
