  1. Thanks cvad for this awesome tool! It's saved me countless times while installing kexts and is also great for hackintosh newbies.
  2. You need to use a patched AppleRTC.kext to prevent it from resetting/corrupting the CMOS every time you boot OS X. You could try this: CMOS Reset Error on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion after wake from sleep | Vahan's Blog PS: You don't have to pay me EDIT: You would be better off doing a clean installation of OS X Mountain Lion with myHack which includes the kext: http://myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/
  3. Try putting the kexts in /System/Library/Extensions and deleting the kext caches in /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches on the USB drive. And try booting with this: cpus=1 -v -f UseKernelCache=No
  4. If you boot with -x, then the trackpad kexts will be disabled. You should try booting with: cpus=1 -f -v If it doesn't boot otherwise, tell me where it stops in verbose mode.
  5. Can you give me the ICNS you used for your HP ProBook in the About This Mac window? They look freaking awesome!
  6. The kernel panic is happening is because some aspects of the ModCD are failing to load. Try formatting your flash drive and try again. If you put the Snow Leopard DMG/ISO on the flash drive, use the OSx86 ModUSB instead. If that doesn't work, make sure that at the boot screen you are typing: rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel -force64 For graphics, you'll need to update to 10.6.8, which has native support for the Radeon 6850. But that's for later. PS: You don't have to pay me.
  7. @baby_demon: Vanilla kernel is the original Apple kernel in OS X. ---------------------------TO GET iCLOUD WORKING WITH THIS KERNEL--------------------------- 1. Revert to the vanilla kernel. Here is the 10.7.4 vanilla kernel. Replace the one on your root, then repair permissions using Disk Utility. 2. Reboot with cpus=1. Set up iCloud, FaceTime, and Messages (if you have it). 3. Install the lapic patched kernel. Reboot. 4. You should have working iCloud and all cores/threads working.
  8. Now i have 10.7.4 and i created the EDID but will not work what i make wrong?? sorry for my bad english

  10. This won't work in Mountain Lion as it has new ATI kexts - AMDRadeonAccelerator and a new ATI5000Controller. Those kexts should be edited to your own needs instead of using Lion kexts. That way you'll get QE/CI.
  11. I've heard people with Acers and 5470Ms get QE/CI. DO NOT USE MY OR ANYONE ELSE'S DISPLAY OVERRIDE! It can DAMAGE your display. You must extract your own for your system. To get QE/CI, install these kexts if you are on Lion: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/25416053/ATI%20Radeon%20HD%205470M%20Lion.zip Note that this will only work if your laptop does not have a weird type of switchable graphics (Most HPs do, Most Acers don't). Since yours is an Acer, it may work, but it might not. But it's worth a shot. Once you do that, add the following lines to org.chameleon.Boot.plist: <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Hoolock</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> Reboot and you should have fully working QE/CI. I cannot test this however, as I have a laptop with the "weird" type of switchable graphics (it's an HP...) and cannot get QE/CI unless I upgrade the CPU. But it should work fine for you. You probably won't have to do the display override unless your screen is messed up.
  12. AMD 69xx cards are not supported at all in OS X Lion. It's possible to get them working with extra hackery in Mountain Lion, but Lion has zero support for these cards. The reason you are getting stuck at the Apple logo is because of this unsupported card. Boot up in single user mode (-s), then delete ATI6000Controller.kext and ATIRadeonX3000.kext. You will get QE/CI if your i7 has Intel HD 3000 Graphics built in to it as OS X Lion and Mountain Lion have support for HD3000.
  13. If you have NVIDIA Optimus in your laptop, you'll have to disable it or use advanced DSDT hacks to get it to work.
  14. @DigitriX: You can't install OS X on an NTFS partition. You will have to format the partition as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled), which you can do from Disk Utility's Erase tab (do this on your partition, NOT your hard drive itself, just the partition). This patch simply lets you install on an MBR partition table (which most PCs use), not NTFS file systems.
  15. Please READ the thread before asking a question. You need to replace the SMBIOS with MacBook Pro 8,1 or 8,3 because iATKOS installs MacPro3,1. There is no Mac Pro that has Intel HD 3000 graphics. That is why you'll have to change the SMBIOS. Boot with -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No to see if you can get to the setup screen. Then download Chameleon Wizard and change your SMBIOS to MacBook Pro 8,1.
