  1. Hi ryannshit. Installing osx on P8P67 Deluxe was almost a piece of cake. But do not think that you made a bad choice, Gigabyte sandy bridge mb are among the best boards you can buy right now. I did install osx on my p67a-ud7-b3 but it is extremely slow to boot and i am loosing my usb mouse and keyboard for at least five minutes but after that waiting, it is working. What I did was to update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.6 since I found 10.6.7 buggy on my pc. I will try again tonight and give you my feedback. Did you look at the followimg guide for ga-p67a? {censored} Forum ? View topic - Guide: GA-P67A-UD3-B3 with ATI 5870
  2. iB{censored} Legacy 2.7 is working. After booting from it and replacing with OSX DVD Retail, type the following: -v GraphicsEnabler=no maxmem=4096 and tell me what you see and if you are able to boot the installation DVD. Just by curiosity I will try Andy Boot CD.
  3. I agree with you regarding MB{censored}. It can help you install a fairly stable system or it can destroy it completely. Every time you are using it, your com.apple.Boot.plist gets overwrite so before using MB{censored} on a working system, always do a backup of your com.apple.Boot.plist and smbios.plist.
  4. Hi again, cannot sleep...Here is an excellent guide for installing osx on a p67 mb. The guide is about Gigabyte boards but my friend was able to use it on his Asus P67: {censored} Forum ? View topic - Guide: GA-P67A-UD3-B3 with ATI 5870 You have to use iB{censored} Legacy 2.7.
  5. I think you are right actually, no Sandybride support with Hazard. By the way, I am receiving a lot of demand about my installation on ASUS P8P67 Deluxe but due to some motherboard problems I do not have this board anymore (wish I had waited for the new ones... What I have now is a Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 and it is much more difficult to install osx on it. Still trying after 2 weeks..
  6. I have been searching for weeks on if OS X will work on my system.

    Here are my specs.

    cpu i7 2600k

    motherboard p8p67 deluxe

    memory 4 gig corsair dominator

    video Nvidia GeForce 7950 GT

sound card Sound Blaster x- fi

I have been working with computers for a long time but I would say that when it comes to this sort of thing I am pretty much a noob. I have hacked a lot of things like xbox 360, wii, and my htc-hd2 to run android but only because I have had tutorials. Anyway I was just hoping that you could help me along? I am not sure all my components will work. Plus some of the things you used like,BridegeHelper Sandy Bridge, iB{censored} Legacy, and MB{censored} 3.2 I cant find. Thanks for your help, hope I am not asking to much of you.

  7. Hi

I decided to reinstall osx today so I will give you all the steps. Thanks

  8. Hi Gleduc,

I tried the installation with the Hazard DVD but I only get errors on my Apple screen.

Can you give me some pointers.

    My hardware:

    Asus P8P67 DeLuxe

    Intel Core i7 2600K

    8 GB 1866 Mhz DDR3

    1 TB WD HDD

    Asus ENGT430 VGA

    Thanks for your help.

    Hans

  9. I am sorry but after 2 months of trying several ways to install OSX, I decided to scrap my installations since I did not found a way to make my system stable for production. So I am gladly back to Ubuntu Studio 10.10. Linux is fare more stable than OSX on non-apple PC. Good Luck!
  10. If I used a chitty distro, explain to me why everything is working just fine? By the way, there is a problem with MB{censored} 3.2, it does not create a Chameleon icon in system preferences. Ho, and I just finished installing OSX 10.6.6 server using the same chitty coding! By the way I am using Chameleon 2.0-RC5-r745 The following is why my installation worked for both osx and server: My SMBIOS.PLIST: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MB{censored}.{censored}.com</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F221BEC8</string> <key>SMcputype</key> <string>1281</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>MacPro</string> <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>1333</string> <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>24</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>G8031788GWR</string> </dict> </plist> My com.apple.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Instant Menu</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v -force64 busratio=29</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>30</string> </dict> </plist> Thanks
  11. Hi,

Can you please help me, i have the same motherboard as you but the pro version.. especially a guide on the dsdt and dsdt auto-patcher, i have the hazard... appreciate if you can lend a hand

  12. In case you have not heard, you can easily find OSX 10.6.7 combo update on the net, just search for it. I did install it and it did not brick my system at all, on the contrary. There is no official recall on the mb form ASUS (who I contacted by phone) for now. There is no recall at all on intel i7 2600 cpu, I do not know where you got your info. There is a flaw on all P67 chipset for all the motherboards, not just mine. I am not using the sata II ports, the ones affected by the flaw. Sata III (6gb) are not affected at all. I am using Chameleon v2 rc5 743 by the way. I am an experienced OSX Hackintosh installer. I always used iB{censored} + MB{censored} but this time iB{censored} did not work at all on my Sandy Bridge. Can I ask you why you are so aggressive and why I should not post on this site? You obviously have something against Hazard but why? Finally, I personally own a license for OSX 10.6.3.
  13. Hi I have successfully installed OSX on my ASUS P8P67 Deluxe using Hazard OSX 10.6.6i DVD, BridegeHelper for Sandy Bridge, iB{censored} Legacy (because after installation I was not able to boot directly from Hazard DVD or HDD) and MB{censored} 3.2. I was even able to install OSX 10.6.7 combo update successfully. I never removed any ram stick, used the full 16GB. It was very tricky. I also used my own dsdt and dsdt auto-patcher. My PC: Asus P8P67 Deluxe 16GB Kingston ram 1333 2 Western Digital 1TB in raid 0 (not used for the osx installation, on Intel SATA 6GB ports) 2 Seagte Momentus XT 500GB (not raid, used one disk, port 1 on Marvell SATA 6GB ports because was not able to install if left on Intel Raid 6GB with the Western Digital HDDs) 1 Pioneer BluRay Burner (on Intel SATA II port 1) ATI HD RADEON 5770 1GB DDR5 My Hackintosh: MacPro 5.1, sees 16GB ram, Radeon working fine, booting directly from HDD, x64 mode (forced). Only one glitch for now, I cannot access any DVD or CD form my BluRay burner, will not mount. I am a very big fan of Linux, my experience helped me to install OSX. BTW my hackintosh is faster than my Windows 7 installation on Intel Raid!!!!! I did not install any intensive software like Photoshop or any video editing software since my next step is to do a backup and try to make my BluRay work. Since I purchase my MB 3 weeks ago, I was not able to install osx on it. Then I discovered Hazard. This was the only tool that I was able to use to install OSX. Great job guys. I will try to write every steps down but for now everything is in my head  Geo
