  1. 10.8 DP2 MBR-patched OSInstall framework &.mpkg

For Mountain Lion DP2 - OSInstall framework and OSInstall.mpkg patched so you can install on hard drives with DOS MBR-style partition tables, instead of GUID. board-id check is also removed, so no requirement is needed in an smbios.plist.

    Tested and works just fine.

Just unpack to the root of the Install media?s volume with sudo. Example:

    sudo tar xzvf ~/Downloads/MountainLion_DP2_MBR_Patch.tar.gz -C /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Base\ System

Or graphically unpack with Archive Utility and drag and drop. I just always show the command line method because it reserves the original root:wheel ownership. bleh.

    Have fun.

  3. 10.7.3 - MBR-patched OSInstall framework &.mpkg

Just posting the patched OSInstall framework and OSInstall.mpkg for the OS X 10.7.3 installer from the App Store who also need to install Lion to their disks that have non-GUID partition tables. I also took off the board-id check just for those who might find it useful.

    Tested and works just fine.

Just unpack to the root of the Install media?s volume with sudo. Example:

    sudo tar xzvf ~/Downloads/10.7.3_Installer_MBR_Patch.tar.gz -C /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Base\ System

  4. SleepEnabler for 10.7.1 / 10.7.2 latest Beta

    SleepEnabler for 10.6.x / 10.7.x updated for 10.7.1 and 10.7.2 Beta

For source code, go to http://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/ as it's been updated.

The only thing added is a case to default to the latest, so you shouldn't have to worry about updating it if the next kernel version has the same PM_DISPATCH_VERSION as the last, in which this this the case for 10.7.0 -> 10.7.1 as well as the latest 10.7.2 Beta (xnu-1699.24.8).

    Have fun.

  5. MBR patched OSInstall framework & mpkg for Lion GM

Binpatched OSInstall framework and OSInstall.mpkg to let you install to non-GUID partition tables for the Lion GM release.

I made it for the Alienware M11x Installer I released but I might as well provide this separately.

How to install it: simply unpack the archive to your Lion GM Install media with sudo. Example:

    sudo tar xjvf ~/Downloads/Lion_OSInstall_GM.tar.bz2 -C /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Base\ System

  7. legacy kernel for OS X 10.6.7 / Darwin 10.7.0

I took some time today to apply the old 10.6.6 diff to the new OS X 10.6.7 /Darwin 10.7.0 xnu source code, Here you go ? I will post the diff later. I will see if AnV has anything new added to this ? as of now it?s the same fixes that the previous kernel had.

  8. SleepEnabler for OS X 10.6.7 Darwin 10.7.0/10.7.1

Those who just need SleepEnabler for 10.6.7, here you go ? it has been tested on i386 and x86_64 architectures and works without any special boot flags.

This has been updated to work with the Darwin 10.7.1 kernel that Sandy Bridge people are using, as well as the Darwin 10.7.0 kernel which OS X 10.6.7 uses by default.
