  1. Hi guys, i'm having a problem. I have installed OSX few times and i'm quite happy now. Everything is really working fine, but i have still a question regarding my HDD Speed in OSX vs Win. ? My hdd is 1 TB, 2 partitions one for Win and one for OSX, none of them full. I use OSX only for audio production with Logic Pro X and i notice that this time ( i did other installations few years ago), i'm getting way more pop ups telling me that the HDD R/W speed is slow so the app hangs a litlle bit sometimes. ? So i decided to take some benchmarks test using Crystall disk for Win and Blackmagic speed for OSX. Of course i did expect some difference results from both of them, just a couple of MB/s nothing crazy. But here is the results. ? Win R/W 100 MB/s ? OSX R/W 70 MB/s ? I clear difference of 30 MB/s using the same HDD. So i was wondering if something it's not 100% in the right place ? I'm using AHCI mode. I used the N{censored} release of Yosemite 10.10.0. I had to try different settings until i get the installation correct ? this what i get when i digit Sudo kextcache -e ? Looking forward to hear some opinions and help ?
  2. You need to be able to to boot on Windows take the USB/DVD with the OSX installation. Select the usb at booting, now with the usb try to boot the OSX partition with -x -f -v. Then turn off pc, reboot again this time with only -v. If it works in OSX go to Chameleon Wizard and select the partition with OSX and then select the first boot option. It will install Chameleon, do it. Now Chameleon is restored. Try to boot into OSX partition the first time it should work, try 2-3 times if you are lucky you have fixed the problem with both Windows and OSX at boot selection if you are not lucky like me it should give you a new error "Can't find Kernel_match" don't worry, do like this. OSX will not boot directly from the HDD will boot only with USB. Now Boot with the USB, at partition selection boot OSX with -x -f -v. It should boot in safe mode, Now turn off the pc. reboot again from USB this time boot only with -v. Once booted go to MB{censored} (yosemite edition) and install ONLY chimera. Make sure to install only chimera and nothing else, really. Now after installed Chimera turn off. And voilà Chameleon bootloader fixed. ? Good luck ? boot only with -v. Once booted go to MB{censored} (yosemite edition) and install ONLY chimera.? ? Make sure to install only chimera and nothing else, really. Now after installed Chimera turn? ? off. And voilà Chameleon bootloader fixed. ? Good luck

  4. Hi guys, i'm new here, if this thread isn't in the right section please move it.?Well, i'm not new to hackintosh but i'm facing a new problem and i don't wanna ruin things. Basicly Windows 7 installation delete Chamaleon boot loader at pc start, now i can access to Yosemite only using the USB (wich contain yosemite installation), I wanna install Chameleon bootloader back.?this was the configuration before ruin things.Dual boot with Yosemite 10.10.0 and Windows 7 HP x64?actually like this???Now with the USB boot it loads like this, with the USB being "Yosemite Zone"???I ruined thing when for other reason I had to install Win7 again, so at installation part i didn't touched System partition (100 MB), delete only the partion with old Win and installed the new one while leaving OSX partition untouched.?At the boot the PC just load directly Windows 7 without showing Chamaleon.?The first time i tried to boot OSX with the USB the boot failed with screen errors, so next usb boot i insert "-x -f -v" and then the OSX booted fine. Turn off the pc tried the USB boot this time without any arguments just select OSX partition and it actually worked fine.?How can I install back Chamaleon bootloader back without messing up thing while keeping both OSX and Windows partition selection at boot?? Tried with EasyBCD but it didn't work. Thanks!?partition table is MBR? ? ------------------------ ? well i tried this ? *** Setting Your Partition "Active" Using Fdisk Words in bold below are things you must type (followed by Enter). 1. Boot your Mac OS X install dvd 2. Once the installer is running, go to the?Utilities?menu and open?Terminal 3.?Determine which disk your MacOSX partition is on Type?diskutil list Verify which disk number holds your partition (disk0, disk1, etc.) 4.?Start using Fdisk Assuming the MacOSX disk is the first disk ("disk0"), then type?fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0?<== use "rdisk" with your disk number here !! Ignore the error "fdisk: could not open MBR file ..." 5.?Determine which partition for MacOSX needs to be set "Active" Type?p Verify which partition is for MacOSX (1, 2, 3, etc.)? 6.?Set the partition "Active" Assuming it is partition 1, then type?f 1?<== use your partition number here !! 7.?Save and exit Type?write Type?y?(yes you are sure) Type?exit?(to quit) 8. Remove the install DVD and reboot? ? ***** ? And didn't work, so i search again before EXIT i run UPDATE, And it actually worked, but now there is a new problem: Yosemite and Chameleon works, but if i try to run Windows i got an error wich say: ? boot/bcd error? ? ? what shall i do?? If i fix Windows boot then it will clear again the Chamelon bootloader?? ? --------------------- ? well, after struggling with the Windows DVD , i was able to get the mbr working atleast for Windows, basicly i'm from the starting point again with Windows booting fine and OSX bootable only from USB. ? It's strange because if i boot from the USB installation of OSX i'm able to boot both Windows and OSX from there. ? If i set the OSX partition as active it won't boot anything, really just black screen nothing happening. ? I runned Darwinbumper (or something like that) and now this is the exaclty configuration for the boot ? ??

  9. Thanks it actually worked for my ATI Radeon HD 5450 512 mb version On Yosemite 10.10.1 ? If you have some problems do like this: ? 1)Download proper kext (I used the Yosemite final version) 2)Download Kext Utility app 3)drag and drop kext into Kext utility and wait for the process 4)open "org.chamaleon.Boot.plist" with TextEdit and add those lines in the text ? ? ? ? ? <key>AtiConfig</key> ? ? ? ? <string>Eulemur</string> ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> ? ? ? ? <string>No</string> ? add this to kernel flag without editing anything else: kext-dev-mode=1 ? like this <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>debug=8 ahcidisk=1 dart=0 kext-dev-mode=1</string> ? 5)Restart and Voilà.
