  1. So, as I prommised, I uploaded today DSDT.aml & kexts for ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E. ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E DSDT - Downloads - Kexts.com

    yanpeng English, Please...
  3. Version 1.0

This DSDT & kexts inside archive are for Hack PC based on Mother Board ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E with Video Card Palit GT430 128 bit 1024 Mb. It has universal processor section, I tested it with Intel DualCore E5200 & Intel Core 2 Duo E7200. With this DSDT works everything except Sound & LAN, but I put VooDooHDA.kext & IONetworkingFamily.kext in archive. Extract this archive & copy to: /E/E/: com.apple.boot.plist smbios.plist dsdt.aml Extensions.mkext Extensions/FakeSMC.kext /S/L/E/: IONetworkingFamily.kext VooDooHDA.kext I use Chameleon 2 RC5 699.
  4. With my GT430 1024Mb while using GraphicsEnabler=Yes in com.apple.boot.plist (wihtout using Natit.kext,EFIString & DSDT.aml) I've got only 512Mb of VideoRam instead of 1024Mb.
  5. To demadre: Native com.apple.boot.plist in real Mac's is in /Library...e.t.c. folder. But if you use Chameleon loader and have /EXTRA/ folder on your hard drive Chameleon loader is loooking for com.apple.boot.plist in /EXTRA/ folder by default, so better to change and work exactly with /EXTRA/com.apple.boot.plist. Natit.kext is an external (not native for MacOS) unversal driver for video cards. You must put it in /System/Library/Extensions/... Open com.apple.boot.plist from /EXTRA/ folder and look, is there strings like: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> If you'll find these strings in your com.apple.boot.plist - delete them. Natit.kext and GraphicsEnabler=Yes doesn't work togather. That's why you probably see 512 Mb VideoRam instead of 1024 Mb. And after update from 10.6... to 10.6.7 install again NVidia Driver Package Retail_256.01.00f03v5.dmg (link at first page) - it's necessary.
  6. About com.apple.boot.plist - try to exclude these strings from it and look at results: <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/extra/smbios.plist</string> <key>SMBIOSdefaults</key> <string>No</string> because chameleon is using smbios.plist from /EXTRA/ folder by default. How to write in smbios.plist "proper" settings(example): ... <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro1,1</string> - here you can change MacModel (it's very important to chose correct MacModel for your HackPC, because it influences on test results and stability of MacOS) ... <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>333</string> - write here your bus frequency devided by 4 (1333/4=333) <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2660</string> - write here your processor frequency <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>19</string> - write here your memory type (DDR2 - 19, DDR3 - 20) <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>800</string> - write here your memory frequency ... <key>SMcputype</key> <string>769</string> - write here your processor type (257 - Intel Core Solo, 769 - Intel Core 2 Duo, 1281 - Quad-Core Intel Xeon),for my E5200 DualCore Intel I use 769
  7. Hi! If you use Chameleon RC2, you can add smbios.plist file into your /Extra/ folder. In this file you can "show'" your Mac OS: - Mac Model - Processor type and frequensy - Memory type and frequensy You can download attached file - it's for your configuration. If you interested what I changed in it and how to change it for another configuration - white here, I'll explane. smbios.plist.zip
  8. I didn't tryed exactly Youtube HD Video, but now I've got 20" IPS 1980x1050 Monitor and GT430 works with it in all resolutions. IPS monitor is a really cool stuff!
  9. Hi Hoarfrost,

hier the new verion of "Quadro Mac OS X Driver Release 256" driver.

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 256.01.00f03v7

  10. Hi Hoarfrost,

after Update to Mac OS 10.6.7 this solution did not work any more.

    Do you have any idea?

  11. Hi, khempanhom! If you want, I can tell you how to make your video card "be not GT 430" , but "GT 415M 1Gb" or whatever you'll prefer to call it. To do this you must copy somewhere Natit.kext and unpack it by right-clicking mouse button on the kext icon and left-click on "Show package content". After that you'll see folder "Contents" - open it and find there file info.plist. Open this file by TextEditor and find there GT 430 and just change it to your card's name. It must look like this: <key>model</key> <string>GT430</string> change to: <key>model</key> <string>GT 415M 1Gb</string> or: <key>model</key> <string>The Best GT 415M 1Gb I ever had</string> )))
  12. Not so long ago (2-3 days) I made DSDt.aml for my Hack PC (based on ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E) and installed Combo Update 10.6.7. DSDT includes: - Universal CPU section (tested on Intel E5200 DualCore with default values (2.5GHz) and overclocked to 2.89GHz from BIOS- works) - mother board (Wi-Fi works with native kext, USB, Sleep/Wake/Shutdown - works) - Palit GT 430 1Gb (works) External & Modified kexts still used in OS: -FakeSMC.kext (/E/E/ or /S/L/E/) -IONetworkingFamily.kext (modified, /S/L/E/) -VooDooHDA.kext (/S/L/E/) Soon I'll upload this DSDT and some other files it works with. The only thing is that I had to use smbios.plist with MacPro3,1. Because without smbios.plist Mac OS detects my Hack PC as iMac8,1 and with NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and other as iMac8,1 it works fine. But with native speedstep and DSDT as iMac8,1 all test results are much lower(about a half of default results). To download DSDT & kexts: ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E DSDT - Downloads - Kexts.com
  13. No, this kext is not mine. I just forced to work my AR9285 with it on MB ZOTAC G43ITX-A-E and uploaded it here for people, who have the same MB with the same Wi-Fi.
  14. To lukin Hi! Read my posts how to do it on this site (Engl) or on my site(Rus) in my signature. And I recommend you to use Retail Mac OS, not Hazard.

    GeForce 8400 GS 1GB

To richd66 How to know 64bit or 32bit version do you use: go to "apple" logo in the left top angle of the screen,"more details" and for more detail see my screenshot - line is shined blue, if 64bit, then must be "Yes", 32bit mode = "No". About using Natit.kext or EFI strings for my GT 430 1Gb. There are two important parameters: memory size and video card outputs. These parameters are changing by user according to his card. My GT 430 has VGA, HDMI, DVI and 1Gb of memory. If your 8400 has the same memory size and almoust DVI and VGA - it must work with EFI string or Natit.kext I use, but your card will be called "GT 430 ...". If it will work properly - write here and I'll change "GT 430" for any name you want. Memory size and outputs also can be changed, just write what outputs do you have and what output do you exactly using to connect 8400 and monitor.
