  2. ---System Setup--- Asus Sabertooth 55i Core i5 Sandy Bridge 2.9 Ghz Sapphire Radeon 5770 4GB GSkill RAM Western Digital Veloci-Raptor 300g ------------------- The instillation of 10.6.8 went fine, I have it running well. I ran MB{censored} and selected EasyBeast with System Utilities --> Would not boot from HDD. I formatted HDD and re-installed to a clean version of 10.6.8, ran MB{censored}, restarted --> Would not boot from HDD. I did the 4k Hard drive work around where you unmount the partition that 10.6.8 is installed on and mount the booth1 Chimera file --> Restarted and would not boot from HDD. Booted in with iB{censored}, got a DSDT file for Sabertooth 55i off of the forums here, put it on my desktop and ran MB{censored} with UserDSDT and System Utilities --> Restarted and would not boot from HDD. Added nullcpupowermanagement.kext with MB{censored} --> Restarted and would not boot from HDD. When I boot with -v it gets partway through the sequence... I'd say 6 seconds in, as soon as the reporting starts on the second page it restarts. ***Edit: I also cannot boot into Snow Leopard with iB{censored} without using PCIRootUID=1 modifier. I installed the Kext that removes the need to type PCIRootUID=1 in every boot. However when I booted I am stuck at the apple loading screen using iB{censored}*** So please, anything you can do to help me. Why won't it boot from HDD? It requires iB{censored} every time.
  3. Like the title says: I installed iAtkos V7 on my HDD but with my first boot it gets stuck at the grey apple screen. I tried a couple of flags in chameleon like: -v, -x, busratio=20, cpus=1, cpus=0, GraphicsEnabler=yes When I boot in verbose mode (-v) then a lot of text goes over my screen en then after a while my screen turns totally black. Non-verbose mode brings me to the grey apple screen without a loading circle. I'm not 100% sure if I have installed all the right kexts. Anybody has an solution for me?
  5. Hi i have iATKOS L2 installed on my laptop, i have got a very weird problem that is , if i use Chameleon v2.1 it boots fine without any issues but if i boot it with Chimera 1.8 or 1.7 or 1.5 or even 1.4.4 it hangs on "Still waiting for root device..." but it doesn't happens with Chameleon! I have used following boot flags: GraphicsEnabler=No busratio=20 rd=disk0s3 PciRoot=1 DSDT=No ForceWake=y -v -f (the disk0s3 is correct! its installed on disk 0 partition number 3) Also i used a sequence of other boot flags, possible, waited 30 Minutes for the hard disk to respond. Also installed appropriate kexts that is: "JMicronATa", "AppleVIAATA" and others as well Similarly i set SATA Mode to AHCI and ATA and vice versa with the combination of above boot flags, i am totally lost! In addition to that i tried many different other methods as well....!! But alas it went in vein, because i have a SandyBridge Core i5 so for that i needed Chimera bootloader because it correctly detects my Intel HD Integrated Graphic Card .... but chimera won't work next to still waiting for root device...! So is there any fix or anyone who had similar issue? Ohh and also i have custom Patched DSDT for my Laptop as well

  7. I downloaded the iATKOS L1 in DMG, restored it using disk utility apple and handed it to my USB stick. put Chameleon 2.0 to boot installation. So far all right. When I went to boot the PC, the computer recognized the USB flash drive and came with my Apple symbol. But when I enter it, the pc restarts, not starting the installation screen iATKOS L1. Have I done the wrong bootloader? What should I do to start the installation by USB? Note: I have the iATKOS S3v2, version 10.6.3, and I can not update it by update center. I looked at the tutorial, but do not think the same chameleon he used. (I used the Google translate) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrzmYyahQTE
  8. Hey guys, I've just recently joined the community, after lurking for a while on multiple Hackintosh related websites, and purchased myself a Snow Leopard retail disk to give it a go installing it on my custom pc. I followed Appliart's AMD guide (very well done btw) here on the forums to do my install, and I successfully installed Snow Leopard on my hard drive, following the guide perfectly, (using Legacy Kernel, AppleATIATA, VoodooHDA.) and booted into the desktop with no hitches. I first thought there was something wrong when I was greeted by no intro video (not sure if that means something), and no sound. I then went ahead hoping to fix it later on. I noticed that the suggested Chameleon bootloader wasn't changing my com.apple.boot.plist to org.chameleon.boot.plist on the first install, which was giving me the depreciated error on my first boot, so I went ahead and reinstalled Snow Leopard a second time; this time taking the liberty to use the latest Chimera to install my bootloader, which changed my com.apple.boot.plist successfully. I thought I was in the clear at this point, and I rebooted, took out ModCD, and watched as the Chimera install of Chameleon booted my pc. When I got to the Apple logo, it stayed on my screen for over a half hour, and would not boot into the OS. I am still able to boot in with my ModCD, but thats it. I have also changed my SATA settings to AHCI, changed my suspend mode to S1 (POS), and checked to make sure C1E support is disabled. If anyone can give me some further direction on what to do, that would be greatly appreciated. My Specs are Mobo: Biostar A870 AMD Chipset CPU: AMD Athlon II 3.2Ghz x3 Rana 450 Video Card: ATI HD3850 RAM: GSKILL RIPJAWS X 8GB (4096MBx2) DDR3 1333
  9. Ho un problema di boot, cioè quando accendo il pc non mi fa scegliere più quale disco avviare, ma mi parte direttamente mac os... come devo fare??? Ho Chameleon 2.0.0 RC5 sapreste aiutarmi?
  10. I am getting the Boot0: Error and I have tried to boot from disk but the apple boot screen wont go away. The loading circle just keeps on spinning and spinning and nothing will happen. I have already changes the windows partition to active and added the Mac OS entry to the (windows) bootloader with EasyBCD. Please help.
  11. My system seems to be running fine, no KPs and full Qe/Ci, however, when I go to turn on my computer, it gets to the mac loading screen, and the shows a KP. I then usually retry and it works fine. Sometimes i have to go to bios and make sure all the settings are correct for it to boot. My question is, is there anyway to stop this? May it be a kext i installed? My hardware should be compatible, (im running a GTX 570 GPU) Thanks a lot
  12. Hey guys, sorry to sound like the other thousands of people on here but im having some issues... ok heres my specs.. AMD Phenom II 955 running at 3200MHZ with busratio of 16 MSI NF980-g65 Motherboard 4GB DDR3 1TB of correctly partitioned HD space Nvidia GTX 570 Im going to Slam heaps of info below if you need it... changed my Raid from IDE to AHCI Installed snow Leopard using "-v cpus=4 busratio=16" selected my primary/active partition of "50GB" and formatted with the appropriate format (journaling etc..) installs fine however.... When i Boot it gets stuck just after giving my Mac address... Any ideas? Anyone got any experience with a similar setup to my own? Any Knowledge on the right drivers i should be using?

  14. none of the changes made to org.chameleon.Boot.plist file, doesnt seems to apply? theme is that ugly basic DOS like. even it wont boot without pressing Enter. it just sits on boot device choices. my hackintosh is working fine, but this just annoyes me a lot. it looks like Chameleon is reading some other *.plist? how is that even possible? Here is how my Extra folder, theme folder and org.chameleon.Boot.plist looks like.
  15. Hello, I have an issue when i try to boot into OS x, i think it's a problem with shutting down. When i'm shutting down, everything looks normal.. and my laptop powers off (ofcourse. Ghehe) But, the next time i want to boot my system, it goes into the bootloader, and after that i get the gray screen with the apple logo. And then it happens: I'm getting a gray box in my screen wich tells me to hold-down my power button until my laptop shuts off, and after that i have to push the button again so it powers on. The second time he's booting normal, and no errors or anything else. I think the problem is when i'm shutting down the OS x system. (Maybe he is shuttding down the wrong way or something?). Does anyone have a solution for this?. *Sorry for my bad english again. EDIT: I'm running iAktos. Snow Leopard, version: 10.6.8
  16. I got the 'JaS_Mac_OS_10.4.8_SSE2_SSE3.iso' image. I burnt it on to a DVD. After burning i reboot my machine and boot into the DVD. After about 3 minutes it says 'CPU Halted' on a black screen and white text and my machine shut down. I tried to boot with all the boot options like -v and -x and all the stuff. Then i changed the CPU settings in BIOS but it crashes again. Then i tried to boot with some kind of boot cd's like chameleon or iB{censored} or stuff lick that. Final-the shut down. Then i restored the JaS_Mac_OS... image on to my 8 GB Kingston USB-Stick and installed a bootloader on it. I reboot and boot into the USB-Stick and it stops at a problem with ACPI. Then i installed the AppleACPIPlatform.kext on to the stick and reboot again. The message with 'CPU Halted' comes again and my pc shut down. I spent about 6 hours but final i could not fix the problem! Please help me, it is making me so sick!
