  1. Version 2.0

I rewrited and updated HDA Wizard, now it's 2.0 version. HDA Wizard is simple tool for patch AppleHDA.kext It was designed for quick sound repair after update, without any rollbacks. New functions in 2.0 version: - works with OSX 10.8.x 10.9.x 10.10.x - It allows you to insert your own Layout and Platforms xml.zlib files and Info.plist - support to current new binpatch (updated binpatch for Realtek ALC 885, 887, 888, 889, 892, 898, 1150, 1120 and more) - add option write custom yours binpatch It will set permissions, rebuild cache and prelink kernel. It has drag and drop support. It will not create any files, it will only help you to install them. You still need set proper yours LayoutID in : DSDT (patch HDEF) or in bootloader (Chameleon/Clover) or add HDA Enabler kext with LayoutID. Thanks credit to Janek202
  2. Hey guys, I am new to the whole mackintosh thing. ? My problem is the following. I have a MOBO with an ALC 889 audio codec, I have tried a lot... and I mean A LOT, patched appleHDA and HDAenabler etc and despite that I see the kexts load with -v when I go to System Preferences I get "No sound output devices found". ? I have found a work-around with voodooHDA 2.7.3 (for some reason 2.7.3 is the only one that it is working but I get sound lags after some times and the quality is medium. Every other voodooHDA gives me crackling shitty sound. Also the HDMI output is not detected even with 2.7.3 . ? I am using Chameleon bootloader up to date. My OS X version is 10.9.1 . ? My specs are: MOBO: Gigabyte 990FXA-D3 (not UD3, its D3) CPU: Phenom II x4 960t (non-core-unlocked) GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition SSD: Sandisk 128Gb Ultra II ? Any help is greatly appreciated.?
  3. Version 1.0

PLEASE READ: This kext is only for owners of MSI P43T-C51 motherboard, will not work with any other. This kext works in conjunction with stock AppleHDA.kext. If you have previously patched your AppleHDA.kext, you must restore it to the vanilla version. This kext does not work by itself. Do not use VoodooHDA with this kext. Requires HDEF layout-id 1 (0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00) set by DSDT or other means. Fully tested and works on OS X 10.8 and 10.9. Does not work on any other version. The following ports were tested and work properly: back green, back pink, back blue, front green, front pink INSTRUCTIONS: Extract the kext into /System/Library/Extensions (it will not work from Extra or other folders) sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ALC885.kext sudo chmod -R 0755 /System/Library/Extensions/ALC885.kext sudo kextcache -system-caches sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel Edit your DSDT HDEF device to supply layout-id of 1 Reboot CONCLUSION: Now your Hac has full audio support just like a real Mac!! It should not break with OS updates unless Apple drastically changes the design of AppleHDA.kext. The last OS I tested it with at the time of this writing was 10.9.1. Many thanks fly out to Ondrej who figured out the correct pin configs and wrote the custom layout files!
  5. Hi guys, Recently I've build a new Hackintosh for myself and used a Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev. 2.1) motherboard for it. Everything is basically OK except for the audio part. The original 1.0 revision of the Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 used Realtek ALC889, but the later revisions don't specify what audio they use. As most of the Z68-based motherboards use the same ALC889, I assume my Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev. 2.1) also continues to use it. I personally use MB{censored} to install OS X 10.7.3 Lion from the Mac App Store and a pre-edited DSDT form {censored}'s DSDT database, so to enabling sound for ALC889 should be easy, but... Even if check the "ALC8xxHDA", "AppleHDA Rollback", "ALC889" (from the "Non-DSDT HDAEnabler") or any combination of them I still don't get any trace of sound. The system profiler shows audio devices, but there are none of sound input or output devices in the "Sound" section of System Preferences. Any help?
  6. This file in the following link will fix audio input and output. http://www.osx86.net/view/1940-patched_applehda.kext_alc889_10.7.2.html 1st make sure you have the correct DSDT installed from {censored} using MB{censored}. Delete any other audio kexts in the system/library/extensions folder if you have any installed. then use a kext installer to put the patched AppleHDA.kext in the extensions folder. Make sure you also have the ALC8xxHDA.kext in the extra/extensions folder. This works flawlessly with my GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 rev 1.3 F11 board. Should work for any other motherboards using the ALC889 for sound
