  4. Hi all I was able to install the osx on my PC that has a pci express graphics card Radeon HD 7670 with 4 GB of ram, from what I understand the card in question seems to be a rebrand of the 6000 series someone knows where I could to find the kext to show this video card correctly in Sierra (not high Sierra)? Thanks for everything
  5. I installed Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard via iDeneb v1.3 on my old Dell Dimension 4600 that no longer has an GeForce FX 5200 128MB AGP and has an ATI Radeon X1300 AGP 256MB. After enough hassle of getting it to boot onto the desktop, I noticed QE/CI has been automatically enabled and works properly, but there is two problems. 1. is that it's stuck on 1024x768 2. When I move the mouse sometimes the cursor leaves a texture from a previous window or from somewhere on the screen. For one thing is that I can live with the 1024x768 resolution if I have to, but the random texture problem is pretty annoying when trying to use the OS. And also, I don't care if I'm stuck on Leopard and older programs with only 32bit support. Help would be appreciated. This machine: Dell Dimension 4600 (not the 4600i) BIOS: A02 (from around 2003) RAM: 1024MB of RAM (or 1GB) Graphics Card: Used to have an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200, but now has an ATI Radeon X1300 on the AGP slot of the machine Keyboard: HP keyboard (I believe it belonged to the HP Pavilion 7935) Mouse: Some mouse (At the moment I'm not sure about the name/brand, but it's on the USB extender connected to the back USB port) Sound: AC97 CPU: Intel Pentium 4 HT 2.8GHZ PS: Someone else had this problem (but wasn't using iDeneb) and they were suggested to upgrade to 10.5.8, but he didn't do the backup kexts and kernel and replace Mac OS X Leopard combo method from back then, thus resulting in a kernel panic upon boot with him having to reinstall Mac OS X and gave up afterwards and decided to use a different graphics card. I followed this guide (except I didn't do the Nvidia stuff because I don't have an Nvidia card anymore): https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143610-howto-dell-dimension-4600-ideneb-os-x-1055-perfect-install/

AMD Radeon GPU pack is a post-installation tool specifically designed for Clover boot loader. The tool contains patches and injectors for various AMD Radeon graphic cards, but also additional plugins for MacPro3,1 and MacPro6,1 SMBIOS specifications and Sandy Bridge CPU-s. How it works: The tool will add just a few FB code lines for proper GPU activation in Clover config.plist file (ATI Connectors Data, ATI Connectors Patch & ATI Connectors Controller). • Be advised that patches depend on card manufacturers. • The list of patches and injectors are based on certain GPU models and extracted ROM files from them. • Injectors from this tool will work on most models, but not on all of them. • That’s because certain GPU cards from the same series using the slightly different firmware. Injectors & patches: AMD Radeon HD 6450 (device id - 0x6779) AMD Radeon HD 6790 (device id - 0x673E) AMD Radeon HD 6850 (device id - 0x6739) AMD Radeon HD 6870 (device id - 0x6738) AMD Radeon HD 7730 (device id - 0x6837) AMD Radeon HD 7870 (device id - 0x6818) AMD Radeon R9 270 (device id - 0x6811) AMD Radeon R9 270X (device id - 0x6810) AMD Radeon R9 280X (device id - 0x6798) AMD Radeon R9 290X (device id - 0x67B0)

  10. Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro1,1 Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number of Processors: 2 Total Number of Cores: 4 Memory: 20 GB OS X: El Capitan 10.11.6 Hi there I'm new to working with macs like this so please bare with me.. Used to work with pc's a lot so i'm little clued up on certain things. I just bought a ATI radeon HD 3870 512mb pc version for my mac the other day, I installed it into my mac with power cable into slot 1 where my old card was, turned it on and i'm getting no signal to monitor (stays on stand by) So I installed my old card into slot 2 and plugged my monitor into that card, when the mac booted I had the expansion slot utility pop up saying there was two cards installed and the options of performance for them both ( as shown in pictures) I also checked system information, graphics and displays and it also shows the cards being there (also shown in picture) I came across a page on this site with loads of kext's for ATI radeon but i'm not 100% sure what one i should be using if any at all and don't want to try it incase it damages the mac. can anyone please help me as i'm completely stuck on what to try next or if it will ever even work. as far as i was aware, any pc video card should work without given you a boot screen. I'm given the mac enough time to load to desktop and still nothing happens. any help would be massively appreciated. thanks

Hi All Attached AMD6000Controller Kext and the AMDRadeonX3000.kext edited for ATI Radeon HD 6790 working on Mavericks 10.9.2. Full 1080, QI?CI? blah blah working Use Kext Wizard to Load the kext but please make sure to rebuild your permissions or it will not work. (tried n tested) Explanation:- although you add the Device id to the info.plist in AMD6000Controller.kext/Content/, you might get resolution but not QICE (full effect) The reason is it needs to know which Accelerator to load i.e AMDBonaireGraphicsAccelerator = AMD 7000 series ->>>AMDRadeonX4000.kext AMDBartsGraphicsAccelerator = 6790 (Barts LE) ->>>> AMDRadeonX3000.kext You can find mixed support between AMDRadeonX*.kext and add your device id to the relating accelerator in the IOMatch string 0x0673e1002.
  20. Hello! ? I'm asking for help today because of a silly issue that can (I'm sure) be fixed in a blink of an eye, but somehow I can't find my way through it. ? I have a perfectly functionnal Hackintosh, and have always used Chameleon bootloader. ? Lately, I wanted to give Clover a try. And there's the issue: it boots fine, until the moment where the OSX log in screen is supposed to appear: i have the black screen stuck in that step, and I know it is because of a conflict with the graphic card. My question is, what should I edit in the plist file so that it finally works? ? I'm using HDMI (but it was never an issue with Chameleon). ?I checked the device id, the FB, it all seems fine.... ? Oh and I'm using Yosemite (last update). I join the DSDT that I use with Chameleon + the Clover plist + Graphic Card specs, maybe some magician here can make it happen. ? Thank you ? ? 23. Hello! ?Being the owner of a Retina MacBook Pro, I can't really explain what made me decide to attempt to install OS X on my PC but over the years I've experimented with the various Linux distributions on my PC so this probably fell under that category!?Anyway, after following a bunch of guides I found online, I have managed to get Yosemite installed on my PC, network, sound and almost every other piece of hardware is functioning.?I got stuck when trying to get my ATI Radeon R9 290 (non X) working. I found that a lot of people had managed to get their 270's and 280's working fine and on occasion, a couple of people had managed to get their R9 290 (non X) working.?I've tried the couple of suggestions I found from people who had got their R9 290 (non X) working however I am still having issues.?Currently I am using the graphics chip built into my CPU which is working well but I would really prefer to get the dedicated card working.?With regards to my system configuration;?CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k SandybridgeRAM: 16GB Corsair VengeanceMOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V DeluxeHDD: OCZ Vertex 3 SSDGPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 (non X)?From my understanding, it's essentially down to some Kext files.I tried installing the package I found on Netkas.org (and posted by Netkas) and tried editing as instructed to add the R9 290 (the bit with the dev-id) but that didn't work.?Basically, I'm hoping someone who reads this either has managed to get their R9 290 (non X) working and wouldn't mind posting the necessary Kext files and installation instructions, or someone with the know-how to edit and post the files or be able to provide me with instructions on what exactly I need to do.?Any help would be really appreciated!?Keir
  24. First of all i already know that this video card is very problematic, i'm trying to get this thing running with snow leopard 10.6.8, to be more specific it's a XFX HD 6750 DDR3 Juniper (Device ID 68bf-1002 SubDevice ID 1682-314A) does anyone had luck with this card? does it work with chimera (which i don't know how to use it)? should i flash, and if yes, to what specific rom? or there is any "guaranteed" method to get this card working properly, please a little guide would be nice since i'm very new to this, btw i already tried the most common methods like editing IOPCIMatch, which always makes my monitor go off after booting (like when you unplug the monitor cable) no crashes though.
