  1. Ok, so I am building a Hackintosh on my AMD machine, but the error comes when installing. I have replaced the mach_kernel and follows tutorials on how to get it working, but it always freezes right after displaying the text shown in the attached image. Right after displaying that text, and I mean I had to record a video, and then use snipping tool to get the image, it goes to a black screen, and freezes (This screen is right after all the "Loading HSF+" messages). This is using the flags "GraphicsEnabler=No -v npci=0x3000". However, I have tried changing the "0x3000"?to "0x2000" and the "GraphicsEnabler=No" to?GraphicsEnabler=Yes", but to no avail. My specs are as listed: ? Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3CPU: AMD FX+ 6300 Vishera 3.5 GHzGraphics Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 460 1GB VRAM2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram750W Corsair Power Supply (This is not necessary, but for the sake of completeness...)What am I doing wrong? Different boot flags? ? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  2. hello There xD ? I have been trying to get Mavericks on my laptop, in about 3 days now..? ? I have tried so many things.. ? My big issue is that i have optimus, and i have come to terms with that it is not going to work, and that i will have to live without my Nvidia card.. ? But then i was thinking, what about the Inten Hd 3000 chip, that should be able to work i guess, without optimus. ? So i tried some things, always getting black screen after boot (at first i wasnt even able to boot installer) ? Then finally i tried N{censored} mavericks, and i know u guys prop dont give support for it, but u might not need to.. ? It came right to the intaller with no problems (other than haning for about 5 min xD) and then after a couple of attemps i found out that i needed to backup the intel graphics kexts to make it work.. and finally i got to the desktop, i was so happy!..? ? Buut then, i noticed resolution was not native, and Graphics acceleration was not enabled (cause everything was slow and enoying xD) ? So now comes my question, what should i do? I have tried installing some kexts around, but it always makes it hang on boot.. Also tried some boot flags, and even tried changing the boot.plist file..? ? Any ideas?? or maybe someone would like to assist me live, on a skype call? that would be even greater I am NOT giving up My specs out top of my head: Intel I5 CPU Intel HD 3000 graphics Nvidia GT555m or Nvidia 555m, not sure xD but one of those! It is weird, but i have a sticker on my laptop saying it uses Cuda, but Linux can not seem to find it, but can find optimus, that is why i think i have that instead
  3. Version 10.9.2

    1,349 downloads

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What This ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This files are original nvidia kexts from 10.9.2 update, where can be use to rolling back the nvidia graphic card users from black screen after boot logo. tested on my asus a43sj. how to use: just copy to S/L/E and boot normally on your osx desktop, reinstall this kexts 1 more time and fix the permissions using kexts utility or any. good luck.
  4. Hey guys, So i built a hackintosh system, and was having problems with it being stuck on hanging at the apple logo. I read somewhere that deleting all the AppleIntel* kexts would solve the problem and it did...somewhat. Now when it boots the apple logo is in the proper resolution but after when i think it goes into the OS, the screen goes black. The graphics card is the Asus GTX 770 overclocked with an i7-3770K @4.6 and an Asus P8Z68 M-Pro Motherboard. Thanks for any feedback!
  5. After about 19 hours of mucking about inside of my hackintosh, I finally was able to?get my Radeon 6990 and my GeForce 9400 to run near perfectly on 10.9.2. Still no HDMI audio, but that should soon be fixed by apple/one of the genius' who frequent this forum. ? Let me list of all of the issues I had before finding this fix: ? Installer boots to white or grey screen. After successful installation, OS boots but then screen shuts off/turns black during pinwheel. After successful installation, OS boots, then hangs on the apple logo with no pinwheel. Kernel Panic on graphics boot (can see where with -v) ? ? My System Specs: Asus P67 Sabertooth with v3602 Bios? Intel i7 3.41Ghz AMD Radeon 6990 Saphire NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT 120GB SSD 16GB Ram ? ? SO, Lets assume you all know how to properly make/install you Mavericks 10.9, 10.9.1 boot drive, and that you are able to see it/boot it in your Bios. ? ? -AMD as main card: ? 1. When selecting the USB drive as your boot drive from the bootloader, type in "-x ati_disable=1 amd_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes IGPEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1" without the quotes. This should boot your system in safe mode with only the mac os video driver being used. This should get you into the installer window or past the grey/black screen to the OS Desktop. ? -NVIDIA as main card: ? 1. When selecting the USB drive as your boot drive from the bootloader, type in "-x nv_disable=1 amd_disable=1 ati_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes IGPEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=0" without the quotes. This should boot your system in safe mode with only the mac os video driver being used. This should get you into the installer window or past the grey/black screen to the OS Desktop. ? ? -Both Cards ? Once done with initial setup, I opened the latest MB{censored} and set these settings for my P67: ? DO NOT RESTART AFTER COMPLETED ? Navigate to /E/org.chimera.Boot.plist or /E/org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add to Kernel Flags "-x -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes IGPEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1" without the quotes (UID=0 for NVIDIA). Save the file and double check it actually modified it with command+i. ? Restart and in theory it should boot to safe mode again. If not then type -x before booting from the hard drive. ? Now you should have working ethernet/USB/etc. ? Download Chameleon Wizard and install the latest build of the bootloader with it's auto download feature. You may have to go and re-edit the org.chameleon.Boot.plist to have the auto safe-mode booting activated. ? ? Download the latest FakeSMC with the HW plugins. Install the fakeSMC and then use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions on your fresh install.? ? Restart computer. ? If all goes well it should say the latest version of Chameleon is installed on the loader screen and you have auto boot back into safe mode. ? Open up the App Store and update mavericks to 10.9.2 as well as whatever other program updates are available. Restart when done. If you get a kernel panic before it restarts but after its closed all it's processes, just hard restart and boot from your Mac HD. You may have to manually type in the Kernel Flags again (I did this 100+ times) ? Once it is booted (again in safe mode) download the latest VoodooHDA for Mavericks and install it. ? ? I packed a zip which has the 3 kext files needed for the install: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3481724/MAVGFXFILES.zip Also attached to this thread. ? ? Use KB{censored} to install these. Run Disk Repair Permissions again, then reboot. ? ? Next is to go to /System/Library/Extensions and Backup then Remove These kext files: ? ? As well as removing all the GeForce and NVDA bundles. Which Leaves You with these video drivers being the last ones left ****NVIDIA PEOPLE READ SEPARATE INSTRUCTION BELOW BEFORE MOVING ON****** : ? ? ? - NVIDIA Cards: ? So after removing the graphics kext files, but before changing your boot kernel flags, you will want to download the latest Mavericks drivers from the Nvidia website. Mine actually did an auto update? to a more stable build than what was on the main support page after I installed and rebooted.? ? After it reboots there should be an Nvidia logo on the top tool bar. Click that and select "NVIDIA Web Driver". Restart your comp and you should have full support for your card. Now you can continue on with the guide. ?? Open up org.chameleon.Boot.plist, and edit the Kernel Flags to be "-v GraphicsEnabler=Yes IGPEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1" without the quotes. For NVIDIA cards, change PCIRootUID=1 to PCIRootUID=0. ? Run Disk Repair Permissions again, then Reboot.? ? ? If all goes well your mac will boot verbose and pop right to the desktop with full card support (minus HDMI Audio): ? ? ? ? ? ? Hope this helps. It sure made me relieved having full graphics support back. I apologize for any spelling mistakes, weird out of place words, general oddness, I still haven't slept. MAVGFXFILES.zip
  6. I choose to install iAtkos ML2 on my computer. I successfully installed it but when I reboot into OSX I get greeted with some music and a BLACK SCREEN and the monitor lost signal. I am assuming this is a problem with my video card, so I reboot back into my Windows partition and use TransMac to navigate my OSX drive. I find a kext file for the video card I am using and decide to drop that into the System/Library/Extentions folder. I deleted all of the cached kext files and rebooted to no avail. Of course I tried all kinds of boot flags without any success. Single user mode wont start neither will safe mode. Because my mobo is Dual UEFI I decide to use iAtkos ML3. I install OSX and get the same problem after the installation. I had no idea how to use the Clover boot loader at all so I could not try any bootloader flags. Here are my system specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3 Processor: 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 3570 4 cores - 3.50Ghz & 3.80Ghz Turbo Broken Integrated Graphics Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 630 (MSI brand) RAM: 16GB of DDR3 Ram distributed into two slots Network: Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller Display: Samsung Syncmaster 2494HM and Syncmaster SA450 Sound: Realtek Card Storage: I am planning to install OSX on a 750 GB HDD (I have Windows 7 on a ssd and a 2tb storage drive) I have changed a few BIOS settings enabled AHCI Sata disabled Intel Vt-d Hopefully somebody can help me with this, I want to run Mountain Lion also I have access to another PC running OSX

  8. Well, my attempts at fixing an "intermittent black screen on boot" problem just failed. I purchased a used Nvidia GT120 from eBay, installed it and I can NOT get to the dektop. Only a black screen. The machine is a Dell Optiplex 960, with ML 10.8.5 installed. ? Drivers ARE available for this card, running Mountain Lion. ? What did I miss?? ? My previous card was an nVidia GE Force 8600 GT, and although I was struggling with the intermittent black screen on boot problem, it would eventually work. Ironically, there aren't drivers for this card and Mountain Lion. ? What am I overlooking?? What cards will work, and which ones won't? ? I did some preliminary searches before I decided to post this, and noticed several references to the motherboard RAM.? My Dell Optiplex uses DDR2 RAM, if that's of any help. ? Anyone?? Is there something I can do to boot up somehow, and install a different video driver?? ? Thank you.
  9. Tried to boot with chameleon from USB flash drive with 10.8.5 original image, but faced the black screen - it turns off during boot. Tried to use -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, npsi=0x2000 -v -x - The same (black screen turn off) result. Could anybody please advise? ? MB: Asus P5B Deluxe Video: 8800GTS 512 ? P. S. After a several minutes the PC turns into hybernate (sllep mode) - power led is blinking and coolers are turned off

  11. Hey, I have tried a bunch of stuff and really need help. I installed iATkos with -v busratio=20 maxmem=2048 cpus=1 and all went well, I selected nothing but an extra wired ethernet driver in customise and yet still when I go to boot with the above boot codes It's just a plain black screen, without -v it's an Apple logo and on both nothing happens. Please help thanks. Processor: AMD Anthlon II X4 645 GPU: AMD HD Raedon 6970 -Thanks.
  12. Here is my laptop: ====================================================== Asus K43SA CPU Core i5-2450M @ 2.50GHz Motherboard K43SA (Intel HM65 chipset) Memory 4 GB ( Samsung DDR3 1333MHz ) Storage WDC WD5000BPVT-80HXZT3 ( 500 GB / 5400 RPM ) Graphic ATI Radeon HD 6730M ( 2 GB ) Display LG LGD02F8 ( 14 '' ) Audio ALC269 @ Intel 6 Series Chipset HDA Ethernet RTL8168E PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC Wireless AR9285 ====================================================== Installing was quick and esay, but making the devices work drives me crazy. Fortunately, ethernet, wireless and audio works fine for me, now the biggest problem is how to make HD 6730m work. I've searched and searched a lot but found no one with this device succeeded driving it. What happened to my computer is when you make no changes (after installing), the graphic card was recognised as some 3Mb(GDDR) device . No QE/CI and resolution fixed in 1024x768. When I tried to put dsdt.aml in /E/E, system was able to boot but at the time when login window should appear, the whole screen became TOTALLY BLACK,just like the computer is powered off(but everything is running fine except display). What I've learned from people with the same HD6730 who have also do these things is that when you has another display( via VGA)?things were all fine ( QE/CI, resolution 1366x768 available, etc) there and the laptop screen just not work. I use chameleon for Windows to load OS X. There is another message I heard yesterday is that Chameleon just not support HD 6730m graphic card. Anybody who can give me some advice or help will be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Hi, I am trying to install Iatkos l2 onto my desktop. My specs are: Core2 Duo E8500 Gigabyte EP43T-UD3L Ati Asus 5850 4GB DDR3 The problem is whenever I try to boot into the iatkos cd, I get a blank black screen and my monitor tells me "graphics mode not supported." I read a guide here (Desktop Virtualization Software: iB{censored} + MB{censored}: Another way to install iATKOS L2) saying that you can use iB{censored} which I tried using safe mode (-x) and for a while the mac startup screen stays there (for approximately a minute) then my computer restarts nad gives me the lack screen again. Any help would be appreciated. -John

HOWEVER STUCK on 1024 768 resolution. i have sound working. battery. etc even wife....WIFI!!!! lol so excited about that. im stuck at 1024 resolution. 15. The installation gone fine but on first launch of installed Lion the screen becomes black (backlight is on, but whole screen is black). As I can detect from HDD indicator, system is running: when I press space or enter the indicator blinks - so looks like start-up dialog is running. During installation and post-install launch I set flags "GraphicsEnabler=no PCIRootUID=0 PciRoot=0", otherwise (in case of GraphicsEnabler=yes) launch process stucks on GeForce 525m initialization. I'm not expert in hackintosh, so I followed guide from here: HCL 10.7.2/Portables - OSx86 (Vostro 3550 section - it's the same as 3750). Except I didn't found <important: uncheck everything and use "totally fix still waiting" , "macbook8.x" kexts from customize>. So at this moment the problem is with black screen. But if there is working method (with good description) would be thankful for link to it.
  16. Hi, I've tried to install iatkos l2 on my pc but once i boot it stays at the apple logo and does not show the circle animation on the bottom. I've tried booting with "-v" and "-x -v" but after a lot of texts with no error messages it just goes all black. Please help!
  17. Im finally upgraded my iAtkos to 10.6.7 hoping the problems I had would be fixed, they weren't. First: When I boot up the apple icon shows followed by a gray then black screen, I have to use an active screen corner to wake the screen and its annoying. The computer does not sleep at all even as i replaced the sleep enabler kext and ran kext utility it still doesn't sleep. Lastly the battery meter does not work properly because my battery is at 0% and it is not charging, it shows up as 100% which is wrong however i don't care much about that but is annoying. I have no idea how to fix this, I've tried many different things where none worked so does anyone know how to fix this. After this i want to know if I would be able to upgrade to Lion from here: I have iAtkos L2 and a bootable Lion.dmg. If i can update which method would be better for me to use and what other things would need to be done?
  18. Ok I have 3 problems when installing iAtkos s3 v2 on my inspiron 1525: 1: When I install the VGA and it reboots, it shows a blue and then a black screen that stays until the computer sleeps. 2: When I opt out of installing the VGA, it boots up only with 1024x768 resolution as ONLY option and it runs slow and choppy (mouse/animations/etc...). 3: Not as big but coming from snow leopard by hazard, I was able to put my laptop to sleep by closing the lid, now I can't and the sleepenabler.kext fails to work like it should. After these problems are fixed I wanted to know how to update to 10.6.6-8 and if possible, can i upgrade to lion from there?
  19. Hi! I run iTunes, works about five seconds, then bang and a black screen. Does someone have this happen? What could be the a problem. Other programs are working properly. Reinstalling does not help. Thanks.
  20. Hey All, I have a SL install on GA G31m ES2l with an 8500GT card. IT works perfectly on either VGA or DVI with a custom EFI string from Howto create nVidia EFI string for Geforce the simple way and the {censored} nvidia drivers. It was installed using {censored} method of iB{censored} and MB{censored} with I think the latest chameleon. The problem is that when I try to run both VGA and DVI together as dual screen both monitors go blank when booting into SL or attempting to "detect displays". The sytem profiler shows the video card correctly although it does say no display connected. Resolutions are fine on either monitor. I have hunted around forums for days and tried all sorts of things and have not been able to find a workable solution to running dual screen. Any help or ideas would be awesomely welcome...
