Ok, so I am building a Hackintosh on my AMD machine, but the error comes when installing. I have replaced the mach_kernel and follows tutorials on how to get it working, but it always freezes right after displaying the text shown in the attached image. Right after displaying that text, and I mean I had to record a video, and then use snipping tool to get the image, it goes to a black screen, and freezes (This screen is right after all the "Loading HSF+" messages). This is using the flags "GraphicsEnabler=No -v npci=0x3000". However, I have tried changing the "0x3000"?to "0x2000" and the "GraphicsEnabler=No" to?GraphicsEnabler=Yes", but to no avail. My specs are as listed: ? Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3CPU: AMD FX+ 6300 Vishera 3.5 GHzGraphics Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 460 1GB VRAM2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram750W Corsair Power Supply (This is not necessary, but for the sake of completeness...)What am I doing wrong? Different boot flags? ? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hey guys I have a Asus K53E Intel i3 2310m 2.10GHz 4GB DDR3 Intel 3000 Graphics Just wondered if anyone has had any luck with installing Mavericks 10.9 I've searched online and followed this vanilla tutorial but it seems to keep freezing. Any ideas are welcome. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/ I've included 'lspci -nn' below so the hardware I am working with is easily identified. Thanks in advance ? ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ lspci -nn00:00.0 Host bridge : Intel Corporation Sandy Bridge DRAM Controller [8086:0104] (rev 09)00:02.0 VGA compatible controller : Intel Corporation Sandy Bridge Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0116] (rev 09)00:16.0 Communication controller : Intel Corporation Cougar Point HECI Controller #1 [8086:1c3a] (rev 04)00:1a.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation Cougar Point USB Enhanced Host Controller #2 [8086:1c2d] (rev 05)00:1b.0 Audio device : Intel Corporation Cougar Point High Definition Audio Controller [8086:1c20] (rev 05)00:1c.0 PCI bridge : Intel Corporation Cougar Point PCI Express Root Port 1 [8086:1c10] (rev b5)00:1c.1 PCI bridge : Intel Corporation Cougar Point PCI Express Root Port 2 [8086:1c12] (rev b5)00:1c.5 PCI bridge : Intel Corporation Cougar Point PCI Express Root Port 6 [8086:1c1a] (rev b5)00:1d.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation Cougar Point USB Enhanced Host Controller #1 [8086:1c26] (rev 05)00:1f.0 ISA bridge : Intel Corporation Cougar Point LPC Controller [8086:1c49] (rev 05)00:1f.2 SATA controller : Intel Corporation Cougar Point 6 port SATA AHCI Controller [8086:1c03] (rev 05)00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation Cougar Point SMBus Controller [8086:1c22] (rev 05)02:00.0 Network controller : Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Hey!. This is my first post, and i want to introduce myself to this forum. I'm Dennis, i live in The Netherlands. My english is not very good, i don't know some words, but i think the most of you can understand me !. I have a laptop running with iAktos (Snow Leopard) for a long time now, and i always had a problem that the system freezes when you nothing for a while. On some forums, much more users have this problem. So i want to share my solution with you guys!. First i have searched on Google for the solution, but i didn't find it, so i had to find the solution by myself. And, i've found it! Ghehe. It's very easy though. The problem is the settings for the Energy Saver. Energy saver tries to spin-down your HDD, or putting yoru laptop in to sleep when it's idle for a long time. But, when Energy Saver tries to do that, the system freezes. Why the systems freezes i don't know. But when you configure energy saver to never put the computer in to sleep, the system doesn't freeze anymore. I hope you guys understand what i'm saying, as i said.. my English is not perfect, and sometimes i use the wrong words i think. I hope that this helped some of you. Greetz!
