  1. Your graphics framebuffer kext is correctly loaded, but you receive no image after boot messages (aka black screen); Your display seem to work fine only randomly; You have blinking screen or many artifacts. EDID injection is a likely solution for all of these! The Clover bootloader makes it very easy to be done 1. On Windows, download and run RW-Everything (this one has multiple interesting utilities but you can use any other, like EDID Viewer, Phoenix EDID Designer, and possibly others...) Note: Linux is also capable of dumping EDIDs, but for my laptop's built-in display, it was only possible through Windows. If you want to try it from Linux, I recommend this guide here. 2. Assuming you're using RW-Everything, click on EDID button. You'll see something like this: (don't copy, it won't work for you, EDIDs differ for each display and this is mine) 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 4C A3 00 02 FF FF FF FF 10 00 15 01 03 80 1D 10 FF 2F 00 00 A0 57 49 9B 26 20 10 48 4F 00 00 00 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 30 01 01 01 01 01 01 9E 1B 56 78 50 00 18 30 30 20 40 25 00 25 A5 10 00 00 19 00 00 00 FD 00 00 3C 00 50 D9 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 60 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 70 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 CC 3. Copy and paste it on notepad. Erase the first line and the first column, they are just references, not part of the EDID. You will have something like this: 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 4C A3 00 02 FF FF FF FF 00 15 01 03 80 1D 10 FF 2F 00 00 A0 57 49 9B 26 10 48 4F 00 00 00 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 9E 1B 56 78 50 00 18 30 30 20 25 00 25 A5 10 00 00 19 00 00 00 FD 00 00 3C 00 D9 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 CC 4. Remove every line break and spaces, ending up with a single line of hexadecimal code, then use HEX -> Base64 to convert it to base 64. Save the result as EDID64.txt on a pen drive. This is my base 64 EDID, the general format of yours will resemble it: AP///////wBMowAC/////wAVAQOAHRD/LwAAoFdJmyYQSE8AAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBnhtWeFAAGDAwICUAJaUQAAAZAAAA/QAAPADZCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMw= 5. Final steps: just add it to your Clover config.plist like the example below: (more information here if needed) <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>InjectEDID</key> <true/> <key>CustomEDID</key> <data>AP///////wBMowAC/////wAVAQOAHRD/LwAAoFdJmyYQSE8AAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBnhtWeFAAGDAwICUAJaUQAAAZAAAA/QAAPADZCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMw=</data> </dict> Don't duplicate the Graphics key in your config.plist - be careful to simply add the keys InjectEDID and CustomEDID inside the Graphics key if you already have it. My guide in my signature contains my config.plist attached, you can check it if you're still not feeling sure. Any further doubts, please post here! Thanks to kyndder for originally explaining the process in the Clover bootloader thread.

    text from http://member.ipmu.jp/yuji.tachikawa/MenuMetersElCapitan/ It's a port to OS X El Capitan 10.11 of our beloved utility MenuMeters by Alex Harper, at http://ragingmenace.com. As he has not yet released the port to OS X 10.11 El Capitan, I made a minimal modification to the source code he has kindly made public so that it runs fine. Setting up Please download the preference pane from this download link. Double click the resulting preference pane. If you already have an older version of MenuMeters, the System Preference will ask you if you want to replace it. Please answer yes. The System Preference might complain that it cannot be loaded. In that case please quit the System Preference once, and relaunch it. It should work. You might also need to uncheck and then check the various meters to re-activate them, once the new version of the MenuMeters preference pane is open. MenuMeters 1.8.1 official for 10.10

  4. So Currently I've had an issue that whenever I have more than 2 monitors connected Maverick will hang and crash immediately. Here some some details about my Computer's Spec. •Motherboard: ASUS Maximus Hero VI Z87 •CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k @ 4.5Ghz •GPU: AMD Gigabyte HD Radeon 7970 •Ram: 16GB 1600Mhz G.Skill DDR3 •HDD: Western Digital Black 650GB 7200 RPM •PSU: 850 Watt? After some troubleshooting I noticed that I can have 2 monitors if connect in these port on my GPU: •DVI •HDMI However If I try to use any of the two Mini-Displayports the OS will crash. In order to use three monitors with this GPU one of the Two Mini-DP has to be used for example: •DVI •HDMI •Mini-DP? or? •DVI •Mini-DP •Mini-DP etc etc.? I'm not sure how to troubleshoot and fix this any further, If anyone has any ideas or similiar issue please let me know.? On as side note if it matters, While i'm on Windows HDD i can use the Three Monitors Perfectly while Gaming, Multitasking, and even using Eyefinity.

    HD7950 3 monitors

    Hi, I got my Powercolor HD 7950 PCS+ working fine with 2 monitors. I'am using Clover UEFI boot with the Futomaki framebuffer. However it won't recognize my third monitor. The monitors are connected via HDMI, DVI and Mini-DP. In Windows the three monitors are operating fine. I have already tried all framebuffers I was able to find on the internet. Is there anything I can do to get the third monitor to work?

    Ati 4670 dual monitors

    Hi, I have red all threads about ati and/or dual monitors on this forum. As I can see, there is no successful solution. I have this problem too. Ati 4670 1GB + 2x DVI Monitors. I can see image on both during boot, but after login goes one monitor to sleep. My hackintosh with 10.8.2 is running smoothly, dual monitors is last thing what I need. facts: I have my device and vendor id in ATI4600controller.kext, and ATIRadeonx2000.kext my device id is 0x9490 and vendor id is 0x1002 I have tried all options, GE=yes/no, AtiConfig=Flicker (and other 2 framebuffers configs), AtiPorts=4 I have tried DVI2VGA convertor as you can see, my monitors are detected, and I can change resolutions, but one is still in sleep mode when I plug only 1 monitor to dvi0 or dvi1, it is working questions: are there newer drivers for ati 4670 ? are there other options which I can test ? This is my system information: ATI Radeon HD 4600: Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 1024 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x9490 Revision ID: 0x0000 Displays: B20W-5: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Display Serial Number: YE6N511357 Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported VGA Display: Resolution: 800 x 600 @ 60 Hz Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Mirror: Off Online: Yes Rotation: Supported com.apple.Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>AtiConfig=Flicker PciRoot=0 rd=uuid boot-uuid=C4889FB4-409E-3E3E-BDE1-AB731C87C22D</string> </dict> </plist> org.chameleon.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <string>/Extra/DSDT.aml</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/SMBios.plist</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>1</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>4</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600021c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> </dict> </plist> SMBios.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosdate</key> <string>02/29/08</string> <key>SMbiosvendor</key> <string>Apple Computer, Inc.</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MP31.88Z.006C.B05.0802291410</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F42C88C8</string> <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>1.3 GHz</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>Mac Pro</string> <key>SMmanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Computer, Inc.</string> <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2.5 GHz</string> <key>SMmemmanufacturer_1</key> <string>Samsung</string> <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>800 Mhz</string> <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>D</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>CK9112K0XYL</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> </plist> thx for any help
  8. Hi guys, I'm having problem resolving my iATKOS L2, which does not offer the full capacity of my computer / monitor. It would be the lack of kets? When used the iATKOS v2 s3, used this ketx [http://www.osx86.net/view/1090-gma950-945_kexts.html] and my problem was resolved.
