  3. Rollback those 2, to 10.8.5 version and got my bluetooth working again! Sent some files to my phone and it works very well. Thought it wouldn't work because of lack of compatibility. Used EasyKext to handle it. Also, if you want, you could download 10.8.5 Delta update directly from Apple website and unpack both files from inside of it. I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6. https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1675?locale=en_US bluetooth.zip

I have a PS/2 Keyboard (which I can switch to an Apple Keyboard) and a USB Mouse.? ? I know ?this is a pretty widespread issue but is there a work around??

  10. Hey folks, I am creating a Mountain Lion Problem and Solution thread. The purpose of this thread is to provide users solutions to problems I have encountered, so that they can use this knowledge to fix problems they run into. Would a Moderator please consider a sticky? I'm starting with the Mountain Lion bootable USB Image for Intel PCs REMEMBER!: If you remove any kexts please boot with -f In addition to already needed flags or delete /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext If you Install any Kexts, do it with Kext Wizard and Repair Permissions and Rebuild Caches! Getting a Kernel Panic Related to com.apple.driver.ApplePolicyControl? KP Looks somewhat like this: 1. Solution: Delete (but Backup) /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePolicyControl.kext 1a. If that doesn't fix then delete the whole kext. Getting Black screen where Laucher/Installer is and Using nVidia Fermi 4xx/5xx card? 1. Delete (but Backup) all the NV* files from /System/Library/Extensions 2. Make sure you can get to a working Desktop, Graphics Acceleration does not matter at this point. 3. Install you essential kexts, whatever they may be 4. Install Chameleon using Chameleon Wizard 5. Customize! Find your PCIRootUID by click the magnifying glass and make sure you make everything you need to boot checked, and make sure you have GraphicsEnabler=Yes checked. (It will not matter if you have the Nv kexts installed at this point.) 5a. Reboot to make sure Chameleon is working correctly. 6. Obtain System Info app from olarila.com and find your device and vendor ID. Inject these into the Info.plist of the NVDAGF100hal and NVResman kexts. 7. When you edit them, Install them with KextWizard or Terminal (Or even drap and drop to S/L/E) Just remember to Repair permissions and reboot. 8. GRAPHICS!!!!111!!1!! Getting Still Waiting for Root Device on Install or After Installing Chameleon to HDD? 1. Make sure In your BIOS your Mode is set to ACHI or Possibly RAID (Google is your friend) 2. Inject your USB Install stick with these kexts, or get your existing Install to boot somehow, and Use KextWizard to Inject these kexts. StillWaiting.zip 3. Rejoice! I will Edit this post as I go.
  11. Hello guys

? After a lot of testing I managed to get OS X 10.9 and 10.8.2 to work stable on my Lenovo G580 (2189), now I like to share my process with you. ? OS X 10.9 Mavericks with U{censored}: This tutorial is shorter than my older one (OS X 10.8.2 with iATKOS ML2) because it's less detailed. If you have problems to understand my instructions try solving the problem with reading the other guide, still this guide and the Mountain Lion guide are independent from each other. ? For laptop specifications and compatibility take a look into the OS X 10.8.2 guide. ? You will needU{censored} prepared flash drive, follow only step 1 and 2 of this guide (tick Laptop and Legacy USB support in U{censored} setup) (if you have problems use this interactive online guide)The kexts (kexts4mavericks.zip) which are found in the attached files section at the end of the post, the newest version of MB{censored} for Mavericks and KB{censored}, which are found?here?(you will need a {censored} account (it’s free))Setup Set your graphic device to UMA graphic in BIOS.Boot from your USB (may be plugged in a USB 3.0 port) using the boot flags "IGPlatformID=01660003 IGPEnabler=Yes".Go through the setup (create 2 partitions for dual boot; if you update from another version I recommend to just deleting the actual OS X partition so you don't need to reinstall Windows)On restart boot OS X (not the setup) from your USB flash drive again and use the same boot flags as before.Setup up your OS X.At this point you can optionally install the combo update, restart and boot your OS X from USB (with the boot flags) again. You will have working ethernet, download the kext4mavericks.zip, MB{censored} for Mavericks and KB{censored}. Alternatively you can put it on a flash drive and plug it in your laptop (use the 2.0 port, I guess it won't recognize the USB when you plug it in the 3.0 port).Move the Extra folder in the package to your drive you installed OS X on (since it is a clean OS X installation no Extra folder will exist at this point)Run MB{censored} and tick the following kexts and install (skip "Quick Start", click on "Drivers"; also ignore all fails and install the newest version of the drivers):VoodooHDA (install v2.8.2, worked very well for me (had problems with v2.8.4))FakeSMCPS/2 Keyboard/Mice and TrackpadsAtheros - Shailua's ALXEthernetPatched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement --> OS X 10.9.0Chimera{censored} Black (optional)? ? ?9. Move the kexts in the zip package (6 kexts) to your desktop, run and install KB{censored} (ignore all fails again). ? ?10. Shut down OS X and restart, you won't need your USB flash drive and startup options anymore. Have fun with Mavericks! ? OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion with iATKOS ML2: My laptop specifications ? Intel Core i5-3210M @ 2.50 GHz
 ? Intel HD 4000
 ? GeForce GT 630M
 ? 6 GB RAM
 ? Conexant 20672 SmartAudio HD ? Atheros: AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter / AR3011 Bluetooth / AR8162 Fast Ethernet
 ? 500 GB disk space
? 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 ? For maximum compatibility compare your specs with mine! ? Compatibility ? The microphone sadly doesn't work too (too silent). ? You will need ? •????? iATKOS?ML2 DVD (you can burn it with Transmac on your PC (use of an USB flash drive instead of a double layer DVD at your own "risk") ? •????? an USB hub, you'll need it while the OS X installation because both of your USB 3.0 ports won't work (I use?these, they work excellent) ? •????? an USB keyboard and an USB mice ? •????? The kexts (kexts.zip) which are found in the attached files section at the end of the post, the newest version of MB{censored} for Mountain Lion and KB{censored}, which are found here (you will need a {censored} account (it’s free)) ? Setup Press F2 while your laptop is booting to reach the BIOS setup and switch the graphic device to UMA graphic and exit saving the changes, this is necessary because OS X can't handle Nvidia Optimus which is used in our laptop. If you changed your BIOS settings before, I recommend to restore to optimized defaults before doing this step.
?While your laptop is at the boot screen press F12, you will reach the boot device selection menu. Now boot from the iATKOS ML2 DVD.
?When the DVD is loaded press F8 to enter startup options. Type "-x UseKernelCache=No" (the bootloader handles with the QWERTY key layout, some keys on your keyboard may be moved). ?Wait about 15 minutes, the OS X installation is loading.
?Now go through the installer (create 2 partitions for dual boot, one in the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format and one in MS-DOS (FAT) format): ? ? ? Source: {censored} ? ? ? ?6. Now, where the installer finished and the system restarted we can move on. If you’re already on the chameleon boot ? ? ? ? ? ?screen, turn off your notebook first. This is the point where you need the USB hub. Plug in your USB hub in your USB ? ? ? ? ?2.0 port (the two 3.0 ports won’t work at the moment) and plug in your USB keyboard and USB mice. ? ? ? ?7. Turn on your laptop again and start the system with the boot flag „UseKernelCache=No“. ? ? ? ?8. Go through the OS X setup, you can navigate with your USB mice and your USB keyboard. ? ? ? ?9. When you reached your desktop you will have working Ethernet. Download the kexts, MB{censored} and KB{censored}, you ? ? ? ? ? ?can find the links in the „You will need“ section. Alternatively you can put the utilities on a flash drive and plug it in ? ? ? ? ? ? ?the USB hub. ? ? ?10. The first thing you do is to move the content of the Extra folder in the Kexts.zip to your local Extra folder. ? ? ?11. Now run MB{censored} and tick the following programs and install them (always install the newest version; ignore the ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?VoodooHDA fail message after some seconds when installations of MB{censored} succeeded): ? ·????? Place all the kexts in the Kexts.zip to your desktop (6 kexts), run and install KB{censored} (this will install the kexts on ? ? ? ? ? ? ?your desktop automatically for you). ? ? ?13. Now reboot, you should have a (nearly) fully working Hackintosh (you don’t need any startup options anymore). ? (little) FAQ ? Problem: Bluetooth doesn’t work. ? Answer: It may be necessary to change the PID (product ID) and the VID (vendor ID) of your Bluetooth driver. ? Problem: Dual booting with windows. Answer: ? 1.?? For dual boot you have to change back your graphic device to switchable graphics again (if you need the graphics card in Windows) in your BIOS (F2 while booting), don’t forget to exit saving changes and it is very important to change back to UMA graphic when using OS X, otherwise you will not be able to boot into OS X. ? 2.?? Press F12 when your laptop is starting to get to the boot device selection menu and boot from your Windows DVD/flash drive (whatever you’re using for your windows setup, for me it is a Windows 7 disk) ? 3.?? Go through the setup, choose custom (not Upgrade) when you’re asked. Now choose the drive you formatted for windows in the OS X installation and format this drive again („Drive options (advanced)“ will show you the format function). Go ahead installing windows on this drive. ? 4.?? When windows finished installing and you reached your desktop, put in the iATKOS DVD again and shut down windows. ? 5.?? Change your graphic device to UMA graphic again in your BIOS (F2 while booting) if you changed it to switchable graphics before and exit saving changes. ? 6.?? Boot from the DVD (F12 while booting) and boot OS X (not the installer) in the chameleon boot screen with no startup options. ? 7.?? When you reached Finder (desktop in OS X), reinstall the newest version of Chimera via MB{censored}. ? 8.?? Voilà, you have a dual boot OS X and Windows laptop. If you dislike windows of course you can do the same with other operation systems (e.g. Ubuntu) too, you can also make a triple boot Hackintosh and so on. ? 9.?? Now shut down OS X and boot into windows to set it up. Install the drivers which you get here. The drivers you need are the following (all downloadable in the link I just gave you): ? ·????? Chipset ·????? Audio ·????? Bluetooth ·????? Camera ·????? Card Reader ·????? Ethernet ·????? Intel Management Engine Interface ·????? Intel Rapid Storage ·????? Touchpad ·????? USB 3.0 ·????? Intel HD (integrated graphics) ·????? Wireless LAN ·????? NVIDIA GeForce (graphics card) (get this here) ·????? Lenovo Energy Management ? Problem: Speakers don’t work. ? Answer: Go to System preferences --> Sound --> set the right output (for me it was: Speaker (Analog); I recommend not changing the VoodooHDA settings if you don’t know what you’re doing) ? Problem: My Windows clock is always different from my OS X one. ? Answer: Simple solution here ? Thank you for checking out my guide, I hope it was a little bit helpful and please give feedback. I’m working hard to keep this topic updated? ? Regards, ? Lexstar ? Notes: ? - for Mavericks you can turn on Switchable Graphics in BIOS now (after the installation), very helpful if you use Dual Boot with Windows ? 12. Hey Guys, I'm encountering an error with trying to boot into the installer via USB. First of all I used kakewalks IOPCIFamily.kext fix, to fix the [PCI Configuration Begin] error. But I am currently getting the errors: "kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOFirewireIP]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.driver.AppleSMC]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.Dont_Steal_Mac_OS_X]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOSerialFamily]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _perf_monitor_register kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOSerialFamily]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOBluetoothSerialManager]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOSurface]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUserEthernet]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _perf_monitor_register kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUserEthernet]: In interface com.apple.kpi.iokit of _kernel_, couldn't find symbol _ZN8IOMapper18_RESERVEDIOMapper3Ev" Has anyone encountered these errors? My specifications are in my signature Side note: I didn't pirate Mountain Lion, I used a friends mac and downloaded it from there, using an account I temporarily created to do so. Also I am using a custom USB stick I made, by Mounting the BaseSystem.dmg (I think it is) and restoring that to a usb stick then installed the latest chameleon release (from here) onto the usb stick.

  16. Hi everybody ? I successfully installed Mountain Lion (10.8.3) on my HP Pavilion DV6. Everything works perfectly except the VGA; I have a Radeon 7470M (1GB GDDR5). I'd like not to use a patched DSDT (because I don't know how it works and I don't know if is possible to run a patched DSDT with a Chimera Bootloader), so I've tried ATI7000Controller.kext with "GraphicEnabler=Yes" bootflag, without success. ? Suggestions? I've read that with this version of OS X (10.8.3), ATI 7xxx cards are fully supported. Thank you in advance.
  17. This is a guide on how to install windows 7 and Mountain Lion or Lion onto one partition and use the Chameleon GUI boot loader to select which operating system you want. Using EasyBCD is boring and just not customizable Ive assumed you have a Windows 7 DVD and a Lion/ML Install Disk (iAtkos or U{censored}) Ive personally used Windows 7 Ultimate and iAtkos L2 Lion Install Disk You need to download a copy of Chameleon Boot loader also 1. Install Windows 7, while in the install phase, Partition 2 disks, 1 for Windows 7 and 1 for Lion 2. After installing windows 7 Insert Mountain Lion and install 3. While in the Install Phase, Create a new partition with the disk utility(the one you didnt use for windows) and format it mac journaled. install Lion and boot to desktop 3a. if you didnt use iAtkos install disk, use chameleon and install it now. it will install as an application. 4. Now you cannot boot into windows 7. No problem 4a. Reboot and insert the windows 7 dvd drive click next and select repair at the bottom left Select command prompt and type in (type and press enter after each line) Diskpart.exe list disk select disk 0 <---normally your 1 disk with two partitions, windows and Mac list partition <---- if you see 3 DO NOT PANIC, system reserved is where the windows 7 boot location is select partition <----SELECT the system reserved partition(very important, its around 100mb) active<----set selected partition as active exit<----exit the diskpart program now close the command prompt and repair the computer(1st option) once repaired you will boot into windows! tadah windows is fixed. rename your hard drive in my computer to Windows(you will see why later) but you cant boot back into mac? once you are back in windows click start>and in the search bar type cmd>enter type and press enter after each line diskpart.exe select disk 0 select partition <-----select MAC partition(it wont show the names but you can differentiate from the sizes of the partition) active exit now restart ANNNNND chameleon should come up with 3 options system reserved windows mac Press system reserved to boot to windows, and mac to boot to mac TO FIX it to just TWO options Windows or Mac DO NOT RENAME SYSTEM RESERVED AT ALL! YOU WILL MESS UP THE BOOTING OF WINDOWS DO NOT RENAME SYSTEM RESERVED AT ALL! YOU WILL MESS UP THE BOOTING OF WINDOWS boot to mac Click mac hard drive on desktop OR finder >extras>org.chameleon.boot.plist <---copy this file to desktop AND make a back up copy somewhere EDIT the org.chameleon.boot.plist in the desktop BY right clicking and opening with text edit application add <key>Rename Partition</key> <string>"System Reserved" Windows 7</string> to hide useless windows 7 hard drive <key>Hide Partition</key> <string>"Windows"</string> once that is done, save it and copy it back to where the original org.chameleon.boot.plist is on. once that is done REBOOT! and you can down beautifully dual boot and select between windows 7 and Mac Lion/Mountain Lion! congrats!

View topic - DSDT Auto-Patcher (app only) • KEXTUtility: Kext Utility / Home / cVad MAC • T7500 Patch file (T1600 & T7500 desktops use the exact same motherboard): http://olarila.com/Packs/Dell/Precision%20T7500.txt • Mountain Lion ALCA269 KEXT: http://www.osx86.net/view/3177-applehda_alc269_mountain_lion_version__...html What I did: I installed using U{censored} using this guide (had to use PCIRootUID=0, -x flags). The install was successful -- however I am only able to boot into the OS via the U{censored} USB, and only when using the flags PCIRootUID=0 and -x. I attempted to extract my DSDT using DSDT Editor. I ended up with 4 errors that could not be fixed -- the error in all 4 cases was "Must be a multiple of alignment/granularity value." I came across this page which mentioned the same error (third code segment up from the bottom of the page). By changing the code commented /alignment from 0x08 to 0x01 I was able to successfully compile and save the DSDT and save it to my desktop. Attempted to use AutoPatcher using the DSDT file just generated and the T7500 patch file. Autopatcher log shows an error - it was unable to compile. I ran MB{censored}, located on my desktop. I referenced this page to see what options I should select (T7500 and T1600 desktops use the same motherboard). I selected User DSDT, NullCPUPowerManagement, and PCIRootUID fix. I opened KEXTUtility and dragged on the ALCA269 file. After all these steps -- I am still at my initial stage -- I can boot into OSX, but only via the U{censored} USB bootloader, and only with the PCIRootUID=0 and -x (safemode) flags. Attempting to boot the PC without the USB inserted results in no bootable device being detected. Attempting to boot without the -x flag results in the boot stopping at: "com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.mrt 54 Stopping job..." Would love any feedback on what i'm doing wrong! If you need any more information I would be happy to provide it. Thank You!
  20. Hello at all, ? in the last days I created my first Hackintosh - So I'm a very newbie. My Samsung R540 Notebook is running now with Mountain Lion 10.8.5. ? I did the Installation with U{censored} and MB{censored}. ? In the first Installation, I used the PS2-Kext from MB{censored}, but with that my keyboard didn't work after the first restart. So I had to make a second Installation.? I looked for another PS2-Kext in the Web, which is running now. ? Now I can use my keyboard, but only with limited extent. There are still a lot of keys, that don't work. For example the number pad on the right side of my Notebookkeyboard. ? In the OSX-Settings i changed the Keyboard to "Apple Keyboard with Number Pad", but it still doesn't work. ? So did anybody make experiences with such a kind of Notebookkeyboard? ? I'm just having my first hard "OSX-Lessons". So I would be very pleased if someone could help me with fixing the problem. ? Do I have to change or modify kexts? ? Thanks for your help and best Regards Daniel
  21. I choose to install iAtkos ML2 on my computer. I successfully installed it but when I reboot into OSX I get greeted with some music and a BLACK SCREEN and the monitor lost signal. I am assuming this is a problem with my video card, so I reboot back into my Windows partition and use TransMac to navigate my OSX drive. I find a kext file for the video card I am using and decide to drop that into the System/Library/Extentions folder. I deleted all of the cached kext files and rebooted to no avail. Of course I tried all kinds of boot flags without any success. Single user mode wont start neither will safe mode. Because my mobo is Dual UEFI I decide to use iAtkos ML3. I install OSX and get the same problem after the installation. I had no idea how to use the Clover boot loader at all so I could not try any bootloader flags. Here are my system specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3 Processor: 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 3570 4 cores - 3.50Ghz & 3.80Ghz Turbo Broken Integrated Graphics Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 630 (MSI brand) RAM: 16GB of DDR3 Ram distributed into two slots Network: Realtek PCIe GBE Family controller Display: Samsung Syncmaster 2494HM and Syncmaster SA450 Sound: Realtek Card Storage: I am planning to install OSX on a 750 GB HDD (I have Windows 7 on a ssd and a 2tb storage drive) I have changed a few BIOS settings enabled AHCI Sata disabled Intel Vt-d Hopefully somebody can help me with this, I want to run Mountain Lion also I have access to another PC running OSX

  23. Hello, ? on my Samsung R540 is running Mountain Lion. ? The most components work fine, but one thing that don't work is "battery-communication". I don't know how to say this better in english, but i mean, that the OS don't show how long my battery energy will last. ? So I read somewhere, that the voodoobattery.kext should help with this problem. ? Now my question: ? Can anybody tell me how I have to install this voodoobattery.kext? Must I first modify the kext for my system. What do I have to know and where must I have special attention? ? I'm sill a newbie in Hackintosh things and so I would be very peased for your help. ? Best Regards - Daniel
