    FireWire PCI issues

I just built my first Hackintosh this week to use for music editing by converting a Win7 machine I already had. I have a Syba SY-PEX30016 PCIe FireWire card that I wasn't able to get seen by my Mac OS (El Capitan), so I ended up ordering a StarTech PCI1394MP card (PCI, not PCIe) to see if I had better luck with it. Arrived this evening and ran into the same issue. Saw about IORegistryExplorer on this site and downloaded and ran it. I was able to see the StarTech FireWire card in the list, and when I plugged in and turned on my Mbox 3 Pro (what I absolutely need the FireWire for) it appeared in the list as well. Thing is, I'm not sure what to do with that information and how to make it work within the system. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Other than the card the system is running smoothly. My setup is: ASUS P8Z77-V LK (updated to the most recent BIOS) Intel i5-3570K Nvidia 460GTX (although I'm running the OS X Default Graphics Driver) Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD

    FakePCIID.kext

    Version 2015-03-29

    977 downloads

FakePCIID.kext The purpose of this kext is to attach to any IOPCIDevice so it can provide alternate PCI ID when another driver attached to the same device requests them. This technique can be used instead of patching binaries that may check for supported device-ids (or other PCI IDs) in their IOService::probe or IOService::start method. In order to attach FakePCIID to a given IOPCIDevice, an injector kext must be built that IOKit can use to match against. The FakePCIID.kext Info.plist has no built-in IOKitPersonalities, as it is generic and not built to suit a specific purpose. The distribution ZIP provide has four such injector kexts, which are described below. Custom injector kexts can be created for other devices. Note: FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext works for HD4400 mobile, HD4600 mobile, HD4200 mobile, and HD4600 desktop. In any case, a DSDT patch, FakeID configuration (Clover), or FakeProperties dictionary in the injector's Info.plist will be required to inject the properties that FakePCIID can read on the IOPCIDevice. The properties used by FakePCIID are described later in this post. The properties must be present on the PCIDevice that is being hooked (the direct parent of FakePCIID). Build Environment My build environment is currently Xcode 6.1, using SDK 10.6, targeting OS X 10.6. 32-bit Builds This project does not support 32-bit builds, although it is probably not difficult to build one given the proper tools.

    External USB as Internal

Hi, It is possible to change external USB slots to act as built in ? I have read some old post for 10.5.7, but I'm not sure if it is still valid.? I have 4 USB ports on board, they work fine on USB2 speed. Next I have PCI 3+1 x USB2.0 card with chip VT6212, but Maverick think, that it is VT82xxxx. Devices plugged to this USB ports are recognized, bud sometime they do not work. Mass storage devices are recognized, but sometimes they are not mounted, or if they are mounted, I can write only with 12Mbit/s speed. ? I have tried patch my DSDT according two blogs (https://apocolipse.com/?p=14) on internet, but it did not work. ? Any help ? Actually it is possible to do it ? Thank You ? ? Including some system info. My DSDT files and another screenshots are at Dropbox. MB: Asrock 4Core1600-GLAN, USB PCI card: see Dropbox link ? ? Here are images of System Profiler: ? ? 7. This driver has always worked for me in the past on previous installations, and after re-installing it on a fresh, working ML 10.8.5 installation, I can't get my audio card to show up in System Preferences/Sound. ? The driver is available for download here: ? http://kxproject.com/down.php?language=en ? The PCI card is an older M Audio Delta series, with a breakout box.? I can see no PCI cards in System Information, also. ? What happened?? What am I overlooking? ? This card and driver have always worked for me on a Hackintosh installation.? And I'm pretty sure it was a ML 10.8.5 installation, also. ? Any suggestions? ? Thank you. ?

    consiglio...

Grazie in anticipo.
