This is for a Sony Vaio SVE17127CXB with a Ivy CPU (i7-3632QM) on a 7 Series board. Used Clover EFI with the npci=0x2000, InjectEDID, InjectATI, LoadVBIOS, DualLink=1, FBName=Pondweed, and VideoPorts=3. You should at least be able to load the desktop. 3. Hey all, I am installing a copy of OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 on my Sony VAIO Flip 15 (SVF15N17CXB) with the CLOVER bootloader (stolen from HERE without using the config files. ***See note @ bottom). The copy of 10.9.2 was downloaded from the AppStore and converted into a partition with U{censored} with laptop support enabled. ? I've managed to jump through the first few hoops it threw at me, such as the early reboot due to this laptop having Haswell micro-architecture by using the?proper kernel?from the downloads section and the fact that all the USB ports are USB 3.0 by using the Generic USB 3.0 found?here ? Currently, I'm trying to boot into the installer with -v and -x but I get stuck, and the last few lines look like this: ? 7. Hello Everyone, I'd like to request some help if you guys are kind enough. I've built a functional Hackintosh before on my tower, but I recently got a Vaio I'd like to Hackintosh. I have a bit of experience, as my tower had quite a few problems, and I've done a bunch of research on google and around the forums to try to find my solutions, but I keep turning up blanks, so I figured I might as well ask the community. Thanks for any help. My Laptop is a Sony VAIO E series US-SVE14A390X-LBOM-2 Here are the specs 3rd gen Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM quad-core processor (2.20GHz / 3.20GHz with Turbo Boost) 16GB (8GB x2) DDR3-1600MHz AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M (2GB) hybrid graphics Windows 8 Pro 64-bit ADATA 256 gb SSD 1TB (5400rpm) hard drive My Windows 8 is running from the SSD, and I'd like to install OSX on a partition of the SSD, I've read around that that causes boot problems, could someone confirm this? I purchased Mountain Lion in the app store, prepared a U{censored} usb with laptop and legacy support installer on my External HDD, and tried to continue from there. at first I was getting a visual glitch in -v, but I found GraphicsEnabler=No was the solution to this. I read that since I have an AMD graphics card I would need to use PCIRootUID=0 until I could get the right drivers. Typically, the farthest I can get is when I use the prompts -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No, PCIRootUID=0 This is what I get to before it freezes. To me, it looks like it's something to do with the USB kext, but I'm not experienced enough to tell. Would any of you have advice that might get me to the installer? Thanks The image: imgur: the simple image sharer

  9. Hello, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could direct me to where I might find a solution to the following issue. After installing ML2 onto my Sony Vaio VPCL116FX, I noticed that some images and animations will flicker. I would assume it is because my GPU is not properly installed. However, I have been unable to locate the appropriate drivers and during installation the NVIDIA 10.8 Apple drivers caused boot issues. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT240M installed. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance for your time. Best Regards, Adam
  10. Installation of OSX ML on Sony Vaio VPCL116FX ***Warning***: This will work, but it is far from perfect. I will update it when I figure out a better way to work with the drivers. Right now, it works but the GPU needs some major tweaking. Certain graphics and video cause issues. Step 1. Configuring the BIOS 1. When your PC displays the "VAIO" logo, press F2 repeatedly until the BIOS appears. 2. Restore the defaults of the BIOS. 3. Then enable External Devices and adjust the boot order to allow the external device to load before the hard drive. 4. Save the changes and exit. Step 2. The Installer I used iATKOS ML2 for this installation. If you visit iatkos.me there is instructions on how to prepare a USB for installation. You will also have to install Chameleon on the USB (instructions also on iatkos.me). Click here to go to iATKOS Step 3. Your HardDrive If you currently have Windows and would like to keep both OS (Dual Boot), backup your data and re-partition your drive. I used EaseUs Partition Manager in Windows before I began the installation. Click here to go to the EaseUs website. If you are unsure how to use this, let me know. Step 4. Begin Installation 1. Insert the USB and start the computer. 2. Select iATKOS ML2 at the boot menu and wait for the installation to load. 3. Select your language. 4. At the “Install OS X?? screen, go to “Utilities?? and select “Disk Utility??. 5. Select the partitioned space you wish to use from the left. 6. Then select the “Erase?? tab. 7. For “Format?? choose “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)?? and for “Name?? enter the name you wish to call your partition. 8. Then press the “Erase?? button and confirm the erase. 9. Close the “Disk Utility?? window. Step 5. Customization 1. Press “Continue?? and then “Agree??. 2. Select the disk (partition) you just formatted in Step 4. 3. Then click “Customize??. 4. The following values must be used. A. Drivers -> Main Hardware -> SATA/IDE -> Un-Tick AHCI SATA B. Drivers -> Main Hardware -> SATA/IDE -> Tick Non-AHCI SATA C. Drivers -> VGA -> Intel -> Tick Disable Intel VGA drivers D. Drivers -> VGA -> nVidia -> Tick Disable nVidia VGA drivers Follow the prompts and finish the installation. I hope this helps. If you have questions, I will do my best to help. If anyone has suggestions or knows a better way, please let me know! You did it! Welcome to OSX on your Sony Vaio! 11. Hello, My name is Adam and I am new to osx86.net. I am having troubles with (successfully) installing Mountain Lion on my PC. I would greatly appreciate any advice. I am really new to this but I can't help but feel this is related to graphics. Here's What I Have: PC- Sony Vaio VPCL116FX CPU- Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400S @ 2.66GHz Mobo- Sony Vaio Mobo Chipset- Intel P45/P43/G45/G43 Bios- AMI v.R0201T5 Graphics- NVIDIA GeForce GT240M Revision.A2 Memory- 6144 MBytes Partitions- (1) NTFS/Windows 8/57.29GB (2) Mac OS Extended (Journaled)/438.23GB Here's What I Have Done: I have used loaded the install of iAtkos ML2 onto a USB and installed Chameleon using my MacBook. Then I reset the BIOS of the PC to default with the exception of the Boot order and allowing to boot from an external device. I have tried both Intel Visualization enabled and disabled. After selecting English from the installation, I used disk utility on the installation to erase the un-partitioned 438.23GB using the format Mac Os Extended (Journaled). I continued the installation and customized the disk (MacPro 3,1-default/Sound-disabled/Non-AHCI SATA- Enabled). Here's The Issue: I have tried several different options under the customization section of the install and played with the Bios as much as Sony would let me. Sometimes the install will complete, other times it will just restart. When booting, the Apple logo will appear with a "No Entry" symbol or more recently after the last attempt, the screen just goes black. It will not boot in safe mode. -v available upon request Here's How Thankful I Am: Thank you for reading this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you in advance for your time. Best Regards, Adam ***Update 1812 GMT-5 01/31/13***: I have successfully installed ML onto the PC using the following settings: Non-AHCI SATA-Enabled, Intel VGA-Disabled, Sound-Enabled. Problem Solved!
  12. Hello everyone, I've been looking for this answer for days now and I just can't figure if this is even possible. My problem is that I cannot get the screen and graphics card to work together, on an external display everything is fluid, games, videos, animations... but if I want to use my internal display I have to go to /System/Library/Extensions and delete NVAND50Hal.kext. Now the internal LCD works but no QE / CI. I've read Sony connected the LCDs differently on the VAIOs or something like that, I haven't tried DSDT editing because I don't know what to edit. I think there has to be a way to force the screen to turn on, it sounds so simple, anyway thanks in advantage to all of you. I have iAtkos L2 updated to 10.7.4.
  13. Buenas, tengo un sony vaio vgn-fw21e y he intentado varias veces instalarle el os lion 10.7.3 con iATKOS l2. 15. Hey! I just tried to install Mountain Lion on my Vaio VPCEB46FG but when I inserted the ML DVD (after loading iB{censored}) and pressed enter, I saw the apple logo for a few milliseconds and then the laptop rebooted. I also tried PCIRootUID=1 flag with -x but then it gets stuck on the apple logo (no loading animation, just the apple logo). This is the image of the apple logo my laptop gets stuck at I don't have any option in my BIOS for enabling AHCI but I am pretty sure it's already enabled. Check the image below: I tried with -v -x flags and as it got rebooted again, I made a video for you guys to see the errors. Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJeHy_gjdx0&feature=player_embedded I think this information will be enough to track down the error. Oh, and here's my config Intel Core i5 480M 4GB DDR3 RAM 500GB Hard disk ATI Mobility Radeon 5650HD Btw, I only tried with iB{censored}. Tell me if I should try iB{censored} Legacy too. Thanks
Grazie in anticipo, Daniel

  18. Which distribution do you recommend for this laptop (VAIO VPCCW13FL): Pentium Dual-Core T4400, 4 GB RAM, GeForce G210M (256 MB) That software http://www.osx86.net/view/1479-system_info.html shows this: only 2 times I have worked with iAtkos S3 but I have no sound, no wi-fi and also I could not get the native resolution of my screen (1366 * 768) and so uninstall it and now I want to try again and see if this time if I can at least have sound. Please excuse my horrible English, but I do not know speak very well.
