  7. hi everyone!! i'm a average user of OS X, and now i'm stuck at a problem with audio kext... my Hackintosh is working fine, but no audio at all, i have asked here and there, and have downloaded tons of audio kexts, but all of them are useless to me due the fact that my MoBo is DELL OEM X501H i already used the VoodooHDA option, but it gives KP on boot, and render my Hackintosh unusable, to the extent that i had to use my backup to restore it if someone is capable and kind enough to patch me the appleHDA kext, i'll be infinitely grateful i'm attaching the linux codec dump, the DSDT (correctly patched), the pin config (ready to use) and a copy of my sys in .ioreg format stuff mac.diego.zip
  8. I installed Mac OSX Lion 10.7.3 via Kakewalk 4.5. I've solved every problem include ATI HD 6950 next and boot problem. I couldn't find any solution to audio problem. Any Idea for solution? Thank You Cpu: Core 2 Duo 6850 3Ghz Mainboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR Ram: 4 x 2Gb 800Mhz DDR2 Graphics: ATI HD 6950
  9. Bear with me, it's my first thread. I'm quite new to all of this, just started yesterday. I have a Hackintosh OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Build 10K549 installed through VMware player. I've given the virtual computer 2GB of RAM and I've connected and enabled my Realtek HD audio ALC888 sound card through the VM to the Mac. I've gone through about 10 different versions of kexts, each supporting different OS versions, each a bit different etc. None of them have worked. I've used Kext Utility, Kext Helper and via Terminal, but although it seems to be OK, after rebooting the sound icon does not appear and the system doesn't recognise any outputs. I've also tried it all on Lion but the same thing happened. 1. Could the VM be preventing communication between the sound card and the Mac? 2. Could have I incorrectly installed the kexts/are they all incompatible with the card? 3. Does there need to be a special kext for VMware's virtual sound card if VM does virtualize it? I don't need HD Audio, any stereo will do Thanks in advance
  10. My MB : GA-P55-UD3P - SC : ALC888 after i get Mac OS X Lion i get this Sound Problem it works only with VoodooHDA but the sound is very bad with it and a lot of noise i tried all the kext and all not work with me ..
  11. Hey guys, I don't have any audio coming through my output devices. Works through my USB Logitech headphones though. Installed Snow Leopard this morning and updated to 10.6.8. Audio worked when it was in 10.6.6. I tried running multi-beast again but still does the same thing. I went into S/L/E and deleted AppleHDA, ALC8xxHDA888 and ALC8xxHDA in extras and re-ran multi-beast with with no effect. Any ideas what I can do? If you need any more info or screenshots just let me know. Thanks for any help. Edit: Just tried the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext didn't work. Edit 2: I re-ran Multi-beast and instead of choosing ALC888 I chose Voodoo 2.7.2 (or something like that, it was the last one.) and that worked. Intel DG41TY Motherboard btw incase someone in the future needs it.
