Atheros AR9285 Wifi Kext Tested and working fine with Sierra 10.12.5
  2. Alright, I am trying to get the airport to work on my Lenovo. I have the IO80211 kext installed and have added my device id in the <string> to the atheros kext inside it. But I still can't connect to the internet. It shows my wireless network and shows the wireless signal strength. I'm not sure if this is a kext issue or if it is something to do with how the wireless is configured. I know the wireless card works because I connected when windows was still installed before I wiped the drive. I don't know if the fact that it is configured for wpa2 that has something to do with it. Anyone have any ideas or has anyone successfully gotten this particular wireless card to work on a laptop. If you need more specs than are listed below, just let me know. Thanks.
